Lunch was both decadent and delicious. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was incredible. Service was terrific. Highly recommend to others and I’ll definitely be back.
We sat at the bar great food and bartender was excellent!
Legal Crossing used to be much before the chain was sold, the menu is now bang average, used to be a fun eclectic menu- the food isn’t as good either.
Again this is my special place for all seafood. They are very attentive to all my needs as a patron. And they are in a very open location near many shopping business.
The sea food and cocktails were amazing but the service was okay. The steak looked great but tasted salty.
Super waiter and greeter !
Terrific food but a few more included vegetables would be nice.
Wine expensive but that happens downtown
This has always been my greatest place for anything seafood. I just love the way the food is prepared with just a hint of seasoning to not over power the taste. What ever the event the ambience there is so relaxing.
The food was excellent like always, the service was great!
The lobster was amazing. Everything we ordered was extremely good
Due likely to the pandemic (?) the cuisine has changed and now all legal sea foods have the same boring and scarce menu. This was a special place, with an Asian touch. Our service was quite poor. Since we were invited to not stay more than 90’, we order our appetizers and mains at the same time. Too bad our waiter waited our appetizer to be consumed before placing the mains, so we had to wait 20’ and then gulp down our mains.
My husband and I recently went to Boston and ate at legal seafoods downtown Crossing. The food was phenomenal. I had the haddock with rice pilaf and the flavors really melded together very well. The fish was cooked perfectly. The salad was good And the clam chowder was awesome, The best clam chowder anywhere!
Good clam chowder, great oysters, okay mussels. Service was okay, but not great. We cancelled our 2nd drink order because it took so long...and we ordered martinis, not anything complicated. The manager was doing her best to fill in when waiters were slack and it was the first week of being allowed to open, so guessing there was some new staff and/or some rust to shake off existing employees. The food is worth giving it another try!
Legal’s never disappoints me! If you’re looking for fresh and sweet Seafood! Here you go.. always consistent in quality!
Excellent service, good food will return
Booths were cramped and uncomfortable, our drinks and appetizers were subpar, main course was better prepared and seemed relatively of higher quality
Great visit to Legal Seafoods. I had the crab cakes and my friend had the Lobster Roll for lunch. Both dishes were well prepared and delicious! Due to Covid the restaurant was fairly empty. Our server was very pleasant and attentive.
Great service, did not feel rushed!
it was a very pleasant dinner. The lobster roll was absolutely delicious! I was able to substitute French fries with grilled asparagus and it made the meal much more worthwhile! The wait staff were also friendly. Highly recommend!
They were telling us we were almost at the hour and a half time limit before they even took our orders for dinner. Hopefully just a bad experience and not the norm.
Great service from beginning to end. Food was great and the atmosphere was perfect, not completely quiet but quiet enough to hear each other talk without yelling
Service was excellent as
oysters wonderful! that's it! think new chef overwhelmed unfortunately!
The shrimp... the fries... simply marvelous! I was not expecting it too be that good!
Happy New Year 2021!! 🥳💥🥂🍾
Let me start with, I've been admiring this place since I got to Boston. I'm here for several months on business. So I decided to try it, Started out great, ordered the margarita super yummy. Then ordered New England clam chowder, that was average. I ordered my dinner at the Same time as my soup, Since the governor instituted a 90 minute sit down dinner. My soup was really good but before I could even finish my soup my dinner came out which was the , legal's signature crab cake combo
one jumbo lump crab cake, grilled shrimp, scallops, mustard sauce, seasonal salad.... the salad portion super yummy the rest was over cooked and rubbery. I couldn't even eat the shrimp, scallops or crab cake piece of the puzzle I could only eat the salad. And the bread they gave me at the beginning of the course. I was nearing the end of my dinner, When someone came up to me and said I just wanted to give you a heads up that you only have 10 minutes left in your dinner. Now mind you, There is only myself and to others in this restaurant. He was giving me a 10 minute warning that I had to be gone. I took a couple pictures of all the empty tables and then told the manager, and she said explain it to the governor, and I kindly left her with empty tables. Wished her a Happy new year!
Will never be back
Chowder and Lobster Roll were both spectacular. I would definitely visit again!
Good meal overall. Clam chowder is excellent. Salmon was cooked perfectly. Service was efficient, could have kept water glass full. Nice ambience. Tables are nicely spread apart. Good place to go with a small group
My fried clams were overcooked , dry and tasteless. Either the chef was new or didn’t know how to fix fried clams, or both. Have ordered this many times before at your other locations and it was always great! Such a disappointment. On my way out. the hostess asked how everything was and I told her: She was very apologetic and offered several times to remove the cost from the bill. I just wanted to leave and so I thanked her for her consideration and left. I will be back to your restaurant just not on a weekend. I have been coming to Legal Seafood since you opened in Kendall Square many years ago. It’s always been great!
I went to this restaurant together with my daughter because this is close to the hotel we stayed. The Foods were good.
Seafood stew was layered with oil that turned out to be a greasy mess. It was very hard to taste the seafood. pretty bad for a restaurant that made its fame with seafood. The bread was stale. Service was perfunctory.
They were very nice. Congratulated us on our engagement
I hate to say this but the food wasn’t the best. Scallops were way over cooked and the shrimp was chewy. Great location though.
The service, food and atmosphere was so inviting; I returned to dine the next night!
Loved the fresh oysters and tuna sashimi! Great beer selection! Outstanding service
Nick, our server, was fantastic. The food was good and the restaurant was quiet.
Very nice place - safe and accommodating due to Covid. No oysters (bummer). Definitely worth the trip.
It was great
Went here on a date night and it was very nice. Good food and Our waitress Tayrn was super nice!
The service was adequate and the place was very quiet (3 tables with customers). I thought the food was very good until the desert disappointed us. The bread was fresh and warm. We shared a bottle of chardonnay. I had the crab cake combo (very good) and my wife had the pasta with shrimp (very good). The dessert we shared was Boston cream and it seemed like it was out of a box. The texture of the filling did not look or taste fresh. Under the current conditions, I feel like this is a place I would definitely come back to.
