The menu showcases the freshness and purity of our seafood. Tried-and-true favorites from all the Legal Sea Foods concepts (Legal Sea Foods, Legal Test Kitchen, Legal C Bar and Legal Harborside, Floor 1 and 2) - evolved by preparation and/or presentation - along with exclusive offerings, comprise the menu mix. At the same time, we’re shaking things up with our cocktails. Many of them are a playful nod to Downtown Crossing’s colorful past, while the influence of Chinatown is seen in some of the exotic ingredients used.
The staff was very kind to me and my family member.
The food was pricey and portions were small but it was delicious! We ordered the crab cake from the "Shareable Menu" and there was only 1 crab cake. Great kids menu and the restaurant was extremely cautious regarding my daughter's peanut allergy. The server of her dish (hot dogs with the best potato wedges in the history of potato wedges) assured us it was prepared on a separate space and was allergy free for her. We were sat immediately upon arrival. The only drawback was how dark the restaurant was- very poorly lit.
Great venue for lunch or dinner, prior to a show. The clam chowder is great, service is solid, festive bar.
My meal had to go back to the kitchen several times. Never did arrive as requested.
Great service. Delicious food as always!
Legal Crossing is our go to spot before the theater. The staff is always welcoming and professional and the food is always good. We are never rushed - even when the kids get dessert.
Haven’t had good food like that in a very very long time! Great reasonable prices
I have been going there for several years and I need to say the quality of the food has been better. Everything was ok but not outstanding as it has been in the past.
Wonderful pre-theater dinner. Service was friendly and efficient. All of the food we ordered was delicious.
Went to dinner before going to a performance at the Opera House; very convenient location, right across the street from the theater and 2 blocks from parking garage. Our waiter was sensitive to our time constraints but did not rush us. Good food, nice atmosphere.
The service was great. Although typically the food is great as well, my wife’s Korean short Ribs were disappointing.
Marvelous three-hour meal. Excellent service. Great food except the broiled lobster was a little overcooked.
The food was great and they got us to the show on time!!!!
Just make sure you tell server you want your food hit.
Second time I've been there and fish hot but sides luke warm
Very good, as expected from a Legal meal.
We are never disappointed at any of the Legals we may visit. Food and service always very good.
Also, Legal Crossing is very convenient to the Opera House across the street.
Great spot to have dinner before the show! Very pleasant atmosphere.
Everything was terrific. We felt a tad bit rushed by our server but other than that, it was a worthwhile experience.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend the wagyu steak tips and Korean short ribs small plates for an appetizer.
Absolutely splendid all around. My salmon was perfectly cooked as was my daughter's steak. We ordered an excellent bottle of pinot noir at a very reasonable price. Our server was friendly and efficient, a complete professional. High marks all around.
The tuna was grilled to perfection and the service was excellent but unobtrusive. A great dining experience
Kobe steak tips and Brussels sprouts were way too black and charred. Inedible but the waitress took off $ for the Brussel sprouts
Food was delicious and service was great. This is our top pre-theater restaurant choice.
We had yet another great experience at Legal Crossing in the Boston theater district. I gave my wife tickets to the touring company production of "Cats" at the Boston Opera House along with dinner at Legal Crossing and an overnight stay at the Hyatt Regency Boston. We love the convenience of Legal Crossing when we attend events at the Opera House since it's right across the street. We enjoyed delicious food and wine. The staff, especially our waiter Chris, was amiable and helpful. My wife enjoyed the lobster mashed potatoes and shrimp cocktail. I ordered the honey glazed salmon over vegetables and rice noodles. We shared a smoked salmon and toasted brioche plate. All was out of this world. This is why Legal Crossing is one of our favorite seafood restaurants. We'll be back soon. We recommend that you do the same.
Our waitress Maddie (Madison) was excellent! I wish I was in a position to tip her $2,029!!
We split several apps and items from their to share menus. All were fantastic. We would definitely return.
Amazing! Great food and service with a slightly different menu than other legals. A great experience!
Good food and service, staff friendly but professional. Good.
While our table was not optimal; everything else was wonderful - service, food, drinks, relaxed
environment and friendly staff. We have eaten at Legal Crossing on a number of occasions with friends,
business colleagues, granddaughters and just the two of us. It is always a great dining experience.
During this visit we had linguini w/clams and sea scallops with two kinds of sweet potatoes. Both
were excellent! Love it!
Excellent service, delicious cocktails and food. Definitely will go again
Great experience before seeing a show downtown. Great location. Service and food were spot on!
Quiet dinner with family in the restaurant. Our variety of seafood dishes were excellent–we particularly enjoyed the salt and pepper calamari appetizer. Wonderful service.
The food was reliably good, but the nouvelle additions to the menu were not what we were expecting or looking forward to. The old tried and true menu selections were not all there on the modified menu. In addition, the shrimp lemongrass soup that I took a chance on was less than wonderful... It was bland with not enough salt added while the table salt grinder was not working.
Overall, it was still Legals- and our main dishes were good- but I was heartily disappointed with the smaller menu and the thai soup.
Although this wasn't a standard Legal Seafood, I was surprised that the food was so mediocre.
Positively perfect Christmas dinner! They even prepared Gluten free rolls for my wife.
Excellent lobster, interesting fusion menu - for this type of venue drink prices we reasonable. Overall very enjoyable experience!
Waited a while for service with a busy post theater crowd. Chowder was excellent but pricey. Appetizers and entrees were delicious but also expensive. And what kid wants butternut squash as a side with their burger? Just ok, wouldn’t rush to go there again.
Excellent food, cocktails, and service, and convenient to the theatre district.
Restaurant was very nice and the service was excellent. Everyone very friendly. Chowder was great and my wife’s scallops were also very good. The only disappointment was the crab cake. It had much more breading than ones I have had at Legal Seafood locations. It was also cold
