We were a large group of 6 adults 2 children and two babies! Katelyn was our server and was excellent! Was in tuned to the children's needs as well as the adults, with a smile!!! We had sushi and entrees and everything was delicious!! And that's why we keep returning to LEGAL C BAR!!
I would recommend provided appropriate context. Service was great - attentive without being overbearing. Met expectations overall, food was great with pricing just a bit more than its greatness. Sometimes tough to have a conversation due to noise level, proximity of the tables, shared tables, etc. Server took note that it was my daughter's birthday and placed a candle on the dessert we ordered. We left neither disappointed nor impressed, but pretty much just meeting expectations.
We were put at a shared table which wasn’t a big deal, but not ideal when celebrating a special occasion. Everything just seemed off on the night- oysters arrived after our main course as did other apps. Even our waiter seemed surprised. Few other miscommunications as to where we were in the meal and just overall an off experience.
We were very pleased with the service and food for our party of 6 and would definitely return in the future.
We had 6 different meals Randall were excellent and had generous portions.
Mother day dinner for eight. Service was good. Food was excellent. I felt we got what we paid for. Nice touch having flowers for the mothers. We will be back!
Food is very good but They need food allergy training -
We've been to Legal C four times, and each time it has been a very good culinary experience. Dishes are very well thought out and they vary throughout the year. Legal C, like Legal Seafood, is a little pricey, but the restaurant is well managed, clean, cheerful and pretty active.
I went for lunch on mother's day, the meal wasn't worth $25. I have gone there during the week for lunch and the same dish was $19 so prices may have gone up. You can get a similar lunch at the Capital Grill.
Great service from Holly. Just a bit noisy
Would like to see tables for larger groups (6) outside.
Are server Deana P was excellent had a great day the watermelon sangria was awesome and the lobster flat bread is a must
Constant problem with this place. You never know when your food is coming. Its like Tapas except your paying a lot for large plates. My latest and likely my last business dinner there, I was sure to order and finish our app. before ordering. I was also experienced enough to tell the server to be sure we were finished with the chowder before serving the entrees. But even that was not enough, for their over agressive pusuit of getting the food out as fast as possible. And the restaurant, was not even half filled on this Tuesday night. Not even half finished with the chowder and out comes a lobster and two large Cod dishes. I live less than a mile from there and would go with my wife and business companions more often but this happens every time. I may go with my wife after recovering from my latest trip their, but I can't trust a business dinner again.
Love Legal, our waitress was excellent and the food was great. Just wish it was a little quieter
Our server was amazing. Buffalo cauliflower—great. Coconut shrimp—fine not outstanding. Lobster bisque: Great. Clams clams very small. Wine: great. Altogether, though, very average.
The oysters and mussels in wine sauce were fabulous My friends enjoyed the paella as well
I love Legal C Bar in Lynnfield, MA. I have been there several times for lunch and dinner. Everything is always wonderful. The wait staff so friendly and efficient, the front desk people so welcoming and accommodating. The food always outstanding!!! This time for lunch I had the wedge salad with grilled shrimp! To die for!!! And your infamous raspberry Sangria! Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time and my sister enjoyed it so much she booked a special family lunch date in May.
Food & service always excellent. If at tables on windows better bring a parka - AC blowing down from ceiling freezes you out.
Great service and staff - they were great also with our young kids!
I think they all had a bad night at Legal C: the waiter too slow( not enough training?).
The kitchen over cooked my fish (mai mai), coffee (espresso ) really too week and sweetener for my wife’s coffee delivered 5 minutes late, the coffee was too cold to drink. I have been there before and always enjoyed it but not this time!!!
Always a wonderful experience!
The meal was excellent! The salmon perfectly cooked and fresh. Appetizers were very good too, but I would save the fried clams to the Essex restaurants.
3 tuna meatballs for2 -need 4, too expensive. Waiter wanted to get order quickly but never came back for second drink orders or refill water. Seafood paella too much chorizo and that was all you could taste. Disappointing meal would not recommend. Peabody much better.
We normally enjoy our meals at any of the Legal restaurants. The entrees were excellent as usual, both the cod and salmon. Our only complaint at Legal C is with the dinner rolls which seemed stale and hard as well the croutons on the delicious Caesar salad which were also too hard to chew.
My husband and I decided to take my 98 year old mother who had a birthday on April 26th. I can’t say enough good things about our experience during the meal and the special dessert that was prepared for us. The fact that it was somewhat noisy was probably due to the popularity of the lunchtime crowd. We will take that into consideration the next time we plan an event or dining at another time period. The only disappointment I had was the parking did not have a handicap location and there was not even an easy drop off area for my Mom who has a walker, Other than that it was a very nice experience.
The waitress was great - championed our case to the chef to make SSCrabs sautéd instead of fried which s/he accommodated !!! Thx!!
every time we go we have reliably consistent, good fresh food
Legal C Bar has removed a lot of entrees from their menu which is disappointing. They used to provide a list of their oysters, now the waitress has to tell you what they are. When the oysters arrived at the table the server did not specify what oysters were where on the plate. The main entrees were ordered were very good.
Awesome service and awesome food! our service was exceptional and it was a wonderful Good Friday meal.
I miss a "simple" fish like breaded and baked flounder - no longer on menu.
Wait staff needs a reminder - when you bring the next course, take away the empty plates. Don't leave the new dishes and run.
Very noisy. Has been that way since it opened. Time to address the problem. Put some sound deadening in the ceiling.
Our service as great. Our server was very friendly. We dined with a one year old and he are the entire plate of fish!
We had a great experience at Legal C Bar!! The food was delicious and the service was top notch!!
The grilled salmon was horrible. No seasoning. The first waiter was inattentive and never checked on us then we had a new waiter that was nice. Overpriced food. Not returning.
But I would warn them the service is slow, the noise level high and the ambience so-so.
Extremely disappointed. Made a reservation and we were seated by the bathroom. This location is of the lowest quality of any Legals restaurant-actually lowest quality of any dive restaurant. Compared to other Legal restaurants, the decor and seating were horrible considering that the prices were as high as other locations. Could t enjoy our meal due to all of this. Felt ripped off and extremely disappointed in our dining experience. Will rethink before going to legals again.
Ordered the paella, the seafood was overcooked and the rice was soupy, not like any paella I have ever had before. Once our food was delivered never saw our waiter until we were done. Definitely won't be back.
Delicious food. service was adequate but nothing extra. I think Our waiter was new. The place was hopping at 6:30 on a Friday night. Would recommend.
Great service. Food was okay but seemed a bit pricey. Noisy bar environment so hard to hear the conversation.
Food was great, service was fast and attentive
