Had a great time. Waitress was wonderful
They have a limited menu to eat there but have a more extensive take out menu. They should allow you to order more from take out menu at the restaurant
Food was excellent and the service was outstanding!!
Had to eat outside since inside was very crowded.Did not look safe enough with minimal social distancing. Very surprised, It was extremely cold outside so that made the ambience very disappointing. Won’t go back until summer!
This restaurant takes all the precautions. Tables spaced out. The food is always great here. I would’ve liked to see more in the “seasonal “ salad. Maybe cranberries and roasted winter squash. The waitress was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Our server was a gentleman and we was great. He was attentive and kind. The food was delicious. We come there for the sushi boat for my husband. Always good food!!
During Covid, I must admit I was not expecting how well they had all the diners sufficiently distanced. Of course the meal was just as awesome as any of the Legal Seafood restaurants standards. I have eaten in at least 3 different ones. I highly recommend getting back out into society as long as you take the precautions the medical professionals recommend!
Ate lunch outside dining. Obviously in a parking lot, ambiance is lacking but service and waitress were great. We both had fish sandwich which was rather dry/overcooked. Fries that went with it were great.
We are regulars but unfortunately this time it was average at best. Many employees had masks but weren’t covering their noses which made it not worthy of going there.
It was nice to get out and enjoy the day. We always have good food and good service at Legal C.
Crabmeat is great! Service was good. Drinks also fine.
Not a great night , no draft beer at all, something about the lines not being ready?? The apts were good but the tuna was overcooked, the service was inattentive.
My salmon was cooked to perfection and my husband’s lobster roll was fabulous.
This was our first time at the Derby Shops location. It really had no atmosphere at all and was like a big cafeteria. Putting that aside, we looked forward to our meals and we enjoyed our caesar salad. The entrees were good, although the swordfish was quite thin, I enjoyed my scrod very much. The waitress seemed almost frantic dropping off items and taking them away. She tried hard but we felt her stress. The noise level was almost impossible to be able to carry on a conversation. Nothing was majorly wrong but it was certainly not a relaxing or pleasing environment We probably will not go back.
This has always been our go-to on the South Shore. So glad that they are back up and running. Took care of my toddler right away brining him everything he needed, much appreciated. Great cocktails and always a good atmosphere!
Normally, I love Legal C and would always recommend. Our last visit led to an entrée salad that was so salty, I couldn't eat it. I brought it home, thinking the dressing sitting overnight would help the flavors mix with the salt, but no dice. Threw it out. Disappointing for a bday celebration.
Jumbo shrimp were far from jumbo, and not your typical shrimp cocktail. My wife and I both had the crabmeat rolls and we both felt that they tasteless, but on the plus side, the French fries were delicious. We will chaulk it up to Covid 19 and give Legal C a mulligan, and try them again post pandemic
Excellent as always. Fresh seafood beautifully presented and very accommodating staff. Love it!
I grew up in Hingham and know many of the people that work there now! Such a great crew!! I was so happy to see them back at work!!!
$32.95 for the crab cake platter and the scallops were undercooked, the crab cake was ok and the shrimp were overcooked. Portions were small. My friend got the scallop dinner and asked for the scallops well done, they were also undercooked and her nice was awful. Sushi was good. Most likely won’t be back. $125 and we left hungry.
This review is likely below my previous feedback. The location has been opened about 30 days, and some food items were not available. But, from greeting us upon arrival until departure, the staff was great-
The waitresses was very pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious, we would definitely go back again.
I've already expressed my opinion to Manager Jeff..namely disappointed in the presentation of the Lobster roll, volume & rubbery taste of the lobster...certainly not a value for the price...I will not return for a while...but I will return...I wish you well & success I enjoy seafood, and I truly wish you well..
We were here a couple of weeks ago and were disappointed that they had changed the menu and we couldn’t get wontons. In addition they were out of avocados and had no oysters. This time they still had no oysters but on both nights the servers were wonderful, had a great sense of humor and were very efficient. I know all restaurants are suffering and perhaps that’s the reason for the shortages. It’s very unusual for Legal Seafood ad we won’t give up on them.
Been going to legal for 20 years. My Food tasted good but my husband ordered the lemon caper sole and was sick the whole night. It’s a bummer first bad experience at a legal seafood.
We eat here more than any other restaurant. Food is always good to very good as it was this past Saturday. One problem that may start to come up is the menu at all Legal Seafoods have the same menu regardless of location so several entrees we liked at Legal C are gone.
They close pretty early
Always great food. Great social distancing and a safe environment during these times.
Food left a lot to be desired but the service was very good. Restaurant comped my meal, so, some redemption.
For many many years, we order the crab cake dinner as it is our favorite. Seems tonight that it was made differently. The flavor was not the same and had a heavy mustard taste. Thought maybe someone made a mistake when mixing the ingredients. We will try again but it was made differently for sure tonight.
Fantastic service and good food despite a slightly reduced menu.
We love Legal Seafood restaurants and Carly was a great server. The food we got was excellent as always. However, they didn’t have any oysters or avocados (eliminating several items on the menu). The wontons, which were a favorite, had been taken off the menu in order to conform to one menu used in all restaurants for the foreseeable future. In fairness, they have only been open for six days. Let’s hope things improve going forward.
Fabulous as always.
I always love to have their great chowder and clams.
Really great place for good quality seafood. Also great for crafted cocktails. Great place for drinks or dinner with friends
The food was awful. Service was good and attentive but the food was gross at best.
The other night at Legal C bar was our first time out since early March. We are very aware of the pandemic and have been very careful about our situation, so we were looking for a place where we could dine outside. The people who served us, and set us, and treated us at Legal C bar that night were fantastic. The food was also great. And will definitely be back.
We had requested outdoor patio dining but they had not received the permit. We ate inside. It was very organized social distanced with hand sanitizer available. The beer taps were not in service. The food was delicious and the service was great. We will definitely go back and hopefully they will have more service available.
First night opening so expectations were tempered. Service was good per usual but: Limited menu, missing several favorites, especially kids' menu. Kitchen was able to accommodate on pasta, but couldn't do chicken tenders. The grilled cheese was also subpar. Fried clams were skimpy and slightly overcooked.
Probably should have waited a week or so to iron out things. Not ready to rush back.
