Legal C Bar - Dedham Ratings and Reviews
Dined in for our daughter’s birthday. One of the best experiences we have had in a long time at a restaurant. Our server Dave was fantastic and went above and beyond to create a memorable experience. The manager Meredith was also amazing. She made a special birthday dessert plate to celebrate my daughters birthday. My daughter was thrilled. Thank you C-Bar for a great night!
This place is so loud it is impossible to carry on a civilized conversation. The food is fair and overpriced for so so quality.
Instead of opening new or additional locations it would behoove Mr. Berkowitz to concentrate on the quality of the restaurants he already has.
The server we had was excellent and so polite...the best part of the evening.
Had another good time on Thanksgiving 2017; I tried the turkey dinner one year and it was good, however, I'm not a fan of sausage stuffing. Since then, I've been sticking to my go-to, traditional lobster roll with fries and coleslaw. The lobster is always cooked perfectly, which would be a deal-breaker otherwise. The rest of my party stuck to seafood as well. We typically enjoy the Thai wings but, this time out, they were undercooked and really chewy, so that was disappointing. Also, this is the second time they didn't have any chocolate ice cream (only vanilla), and it wasn't a very good quality, unfortunately. Our waitress was very attentive, however, and the Legal Sangria is delicious. Overall, a good experience. Just a tip; come early if you're dining on Thanksgiving (noonish); it's still relatively quiet during that time and you'll beat the rush.
The Thanksgiving meal was excellent. Our server Christian was also excellent. This was my third time going to Legal's for their Thanksgiving meal. Upon entering the host was welcoming and came over to our table to check in. I would recommend this place especially for their Thanksgiving meal.
I have moved to the west coast and miss the Legal restaurants! Legal C Bar was always one of my favorite places to meet friends for lunch and shopping or to hit up for a meal before or after a movie or bowling. My lobster wrap was delicious, as was my friend's lobster roll. Our server, Jared, was wonderful. He was attentive without being overbearing, pleasant and happy to accommodate a few special requests.
Worst lunch I can remember.
$13.99 for a salmon skin Rueben and second time around they still did not fix it. Wait staff was very nice but even when she brought the salmon less Reuben back they did not fix the problem.
This has been sadly, the worst Legal Seafood location since they opened.
Next time I will travel a bit farther to Chestnut Hill.
the food was fine; for the most part, it was standard Legal fare. The prices though -- I'm not sure if I haven't been to a Legal's in awhile or if this one is just obscenely expensive but $7.50 for a mug of clam chowder seems egregious. Also, for $37 I expect more lobster in a lobster wrap and for said wrap to not fall apart.
Again, the food was fine. The value, however, was severely lacking this time around. I expect these prices from Island Creek Oyster Bar - not from a Legal's in the 'burbs.
My husband and I had a lunch date here, and I attempted to order the lunch special which was seared tuna over orzo ($17). When I asked to sub a salad for orzo, understanding there may be a small upcharge, the waiter brought me the dinner menu and asked me to select a specific salad. I chose a green salad for $8 assuming the extra charge would be $8 at a maximum. This somehow resulted in a $32 lunch salad. When I questioned the waiter after seeing the bill, he said "oh, sorry hunny, you ordered a dinner portion so that's the cost" patted me on the back and walked away.
Our reservation was for 8:00pm. I don’t think that is too late. Our ceasar salad looked old, wilted and like it was from the bottom of the barrel after a long day. The presentation of grilled swordfish dinner was messy with no attention paid to it. Been a patron for 30 years and this was our first disappointment. Crushed.
I had the Legal crabcake special entree. The shrimp and scallops were overcooked and dry. Very disappointing. My girlfriends lobster mac and cheese was awesome. The oysters we had for an appetizer were fantastic. The place is very nice, pricey of course. I'd try it again, but if its disappointing again, I'll send the food back. I didn't want my girlfriend to sit and eat without me, so I didn't this time.
Love this place. Recently diagnosed with gluten allergy. They were amazingly “on it”. Had gluten free rolls and all options ! Waiter was extremely knowledgeable about lactose and gluten allergies. Very attentive. Manager (Meredith) came over to check on me (us). Making sure all was good. Great options for everyone
Our server, Nick, was very attentive to us . We have never had a bad meal at Legal C Bar or at original Legal Seafood resturants. Location is great at Leagacy Place and there is so much going on at Leagacy Place. They have a good oyster bar but limited sushi bar but what they prepare in sushi is very good.
