Great food and service. Fun setting.
My wife and I were visiting New Orleans and found Legacy online. When we arrived there was no one at the check-in table and it took several minutes for someone to show up, we almost left. After being seated it took sometime for us to be approached.
Our waitress was very personable and new what she was doing, but she was also assigned a very large group. She was nice to make sure that our order got in before the big group. But in watching how the restaurant operated, there was chaos. I could look into the kitchen and see there was very little formal process going on.
The food was very good and the price was great.
Great spot for a team dinner
Food was good but our server was exceptional
We loved the ambiance and the food was really delicious. However, the service was horrible. We arrived and were shown to a table. Our waitress brought water, asked if we wanted a drink. We said we would wait for our friends. Our friends were 15 mins late so we changed our minds and wanted to order a drink. But our waitress was no where to be found. I asked the hostess to send her over. Still no sign of her. Our friends arrived. Finally a different waiter showed up and we placed drink and dinner orders. The original waiter brought 2 wine glasses but no wine and failed to bring my cocktail. Finally, after we had been there 45 mins, the waiter appeared with the wine, commenting that they were out of glassware. What? At 6 on a Saturday? At this point, I get up from the table and head to the bar to get my own drink. The bar tender said he was getting to my drink, again mentioning a shortage of glasses. The food was delicious. Everything we ate was so good. Too bad the staff was a hot mess.
Food was good. Only issue we had was that the server was inattentive. I hade to get up and ask for the check. Odd.
Enjoyed the Mango Tango, just the right fusion of flavor! My kids loved and finished their meal as well. Ambiance is good and kid-friendly. Ordered pecan toffee bread pudding and it was delicious.
It was good, but my dish (a fried chicken sandwich) was not that great as the chicken itself was very very tough (though the breading was fantastic...and the fries were perfect). Still, we had an fine meal.
The restaurant decor was cute and the food was good. The service was terrible! Our waited came by the table maybe twice before our food came out to which he promptly brought out our checks before we even began eating. The chicken sandwiches were not cooked all the way through. Our groups felt unwanted and rushed. I would not suggest dinning here or return.
Great food and service
The host was nice and energetic but our server was very slow, it took forever to take our order after she brought our drinks even though the restaurant was virtually empty (only two tables with guests, besides us), she was courteous but didn't seem much motivated. Another flaw: she brought our entrees before the soup and also my friend had ordered a "cup" of soup and she just brought the whole soup so we ended up with a lot of food. It would have been nice of her to comment that they do not do "cups", only the whole order, but she didn't bother. Ah, and BTW they had put us as a "no show" on OpenTable. Definitively not coming back.
Good food. Server took a while to process bill. Menu on opentable doesn’t include breakfast options.
This is slightly better than diner food. We waited for half an hour for 2 main course salads, even though the restaurant was less than a quarter full. One salad, which featured avocados, did not have any at all. I had to ask for it. The waiter handed us the bill in the middle of the meal, for some inexplicable reason. That being said, the reception was amiable and the salads were fine.
Never disappointed whenever we eat here. There is something on the menu for everyone
Great service and food. 6 PM was a very quiet time to go. Lovely waitress. Food was ready very quickly...and yummy!
The food was great! Loved the location and service as well.
Wow! Great restaurant! The food was amazing and the staff very attentive. Really enjoyed the red fish and cornbread casserole - YUM!! Dining partners also enjoyed their meals. The restaurant noise level was pleasant for table conversation. I will return to this place every time I am in NOLA.
Food, service and atmosphere was outstanding.
Great ambiance, great service. Menu is not extensive, but offers quite a variety. I had the red fish and would highly recommend.
Outstanding service, great location and excellent food! Check it out
We were on town for the AAPA Conference.
When we arrived they had not received my reservations, they had been having link related technical problems.
That said they were very welcoming and set about accommodating my party. We didn't wait longer then 3 minutes. Service was prompt. I would return here.
Headed here for lunch on a Saturday. The fried chicken sandwich was perhaps the best chicken we were served in a week of excellent eating around New Orleans. Service was very pleasant and beer menu worthwhile.
Excellent dining adventure. Food was top knotch and service was impeccable.
Had issues with reservation but they were very accommodating and made room.
Staff was trying but understaffed and took a long time just to get water. Decent food but not impressed by the value for the money.
Not spectacular but solid. The Moscow Mule came in no copper, so not as cold as should have been, but the chicken and waffles were solid, and the server very earnest.
We chose this restaurant for lunch because it was in our hotel and close to our friend's hotel. Had to snag the manager to get seated well past the reservation time. Walkins were being seated immediately. Our server turned out to be the clearly overworked bar tender. A ten top table that arrived after we did all got their food orders before we did. We had to snag another server to get our food, which was dried out from sitting under the heat lamps. It might have tasted better if it had been served when it was plated. Overall food was very expensive for the quality and amount and the servers very rushed and overworked.
Legacy Kitchen ended up being a go to place for my group of colleagues while at a conference in New Orleans. There are many options in NOLA, but we found the personnel at this place to be excellent, enough that we kept going back despite all the food options available.
Staff is not attentive. No one was there to greet me. One of them answered the phone even after seeing that I was waiting to be seated.
Waited for 30 mins to get service at bar. Bar tender never acknowledged us. So we left
Great place for a casual dinner. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Good food. Worth considering and choosing for dinner.
The food was sub par. The noise level is insane bc there are no soft surfaces. The staff was lacking to stay the least. Lacking is an over statement bc they were just never visible. Between hopping out to smoke or disappearing in the kitchen the entire time looking for more liquids to drink. Once the food finally arrived it became very aware that the ingredients aren’t fully described on the menu. Duck nachos never mention beans or chili though that’s the only fast you will experience, the dish also never mentions guacamole. Never saw the pepper jelly it mentions either. The menu also don’t inform you that the three items on the large plates portion of the menu are actually salads, never discuss lettuce. Someone who redid their menus, needs some assistance. The entire experience was rather sad. I live three blocks away and work two blocks away this would’ve been nice to have to my Rolodex of dining options, because I rarely cook. Also, their staff member was too incompetent to not only find a clean table to seats and my guest at but also couldn’t be sensible enough to check me in. That didn’t happen they cancelled my reservation and tried to take the point I was earning away. I will never return.
Came here for lunch while in New Orleans for a convention. The vibe is really eclectic but their menu is pretty typical. Service was a little slow but the restaurant did get slammed pretty quick from the convention lunch period. Our server remained calm and sweet but you could tell she was really busy. Food was good and would come back again.
Food was slow but management and server very apologetic. Worth the wait!
The food and service was good, nothing over the top or above average. If anything the service was better than the food. Nothing was bad, just expected more for New Orleans
They over charged me for drinks and refused to correct the error.
Nice everyday reataurant
Great food and service! Kid friendly
Drinks were good but small
Small plates were great
8 of the 11 entrees we ordered came out cold. Birthday girl received her food 20 minutes after everyone else.
Cold entrees were reheated instead of made fresh turning 3 steaks from M to Well. Made the burger soggy. Baked potato inedible.
Manager acted unaware of issues. Ended up comping $200 of Bill then told us we still had to pay taxes on the ORIGINAL amount which didn't make sense. 20% gratuity was still added to bill.
Very bad experience. Seems like it could have gone well. I don't know what the problem was. Our reservation was at 8pm and restaurant was sparsely seated.
