We wanted to eat somewhere with a variety of dishes to choose from and with a nice vibe. Glad we discovered your restaurant! I’ll definitely stop by during my next NOLA vacation!!!
Food was delicious! Loved the beignets and Chicken and Waffles. Service was great!
The only really negative in my family’s visit was the seating. We were seated at a table that had a metal bench with no cushioning on one side and a bench with cushioned seat, but no back rest on the other side. We were a party of 6 adults with a beautiful baby also. It seems to me that the restaurant could have easily pulled 2 tables together and seated us on the nice padded chairs. The food was good and the server was very attentive. When we spend 200 dollars for a meal, we really would like to be a little more comfortable. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
The staff, drink, food everything just spectacular. Try the salmon or red fish st. Charles. Yummy
We made reservations on the same day due to a mix up with the place we were supposed to go to fell through. We were down for white linen night and had some company from out of town. I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was, the crawfish beignets were amazing!!! I will definitely go back!!
I must say the Legacy Burger was prepared perfectly it was absolutely the best burger I ever eaten the portions were perfect meaning if your hungry you’ll be full. Never will forget my experience at your restaurant.
Family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) looking for casual and fun environment to enjoy good food and relax. We all ABSOLUTELY loved the vibe and decor—industrial and super fun. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server, David, was super friendly and I loved how well he communicated w our children about their food options. They both got the waffle w bacon and loved it—who wouldn’t?! My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the chicken sandwich—both of which we thought were good, but not great. I also ordered one of their craft cocktails, the Saintsational, and it was really good. For dessert, we asked to move to one of their casual seating areas so the kids could play the tic-tac-toe game they had set up. We were easily accommodated and shared a plate of their bite-sized beignets—yummy! David continued to be very attentive and accommodating our entire stay.
Only inconvenience was that their bathroom is accessible by exiting the restaurant into the connected hotel. But at least it was a very nice clean one :-)
We would definitely return.
The waiter didn't have much knowledge. My shrimp was pretty fishy smelling, my daughters shrimp and grits was really salty, my husbands fried oysters were fried pretty hard. Very pricey and over rated
I visited the Tuesday after Jazz Fest, so it's understandable that the place was empty. I ended up sitting at the bar, and the service was adequate. The salmon was delicious, but the pecan toffee bread pudding was just okay. Overall, it's a decent restaurant, but there are too many good restaurants nearby to recommend this one.
Favorite go to place. Great variety menu with great food!
Really enjoyed this visit to Legacy Kitchen in the Warehouse District . Great service. Nice atmosphere and good, reasonably priced food. I had the mushroom and grilled onion burger. Cooked perfect and very juicy. Friend had salad and corn & shrimp bisque. Both were great. Will defiantly visit again
My friend and I were staying at the adjacent hotel; this was one of several meals we had at Legacy Kitchen Craft Bar over 4 days. We found the staff to be consistently friendly, courteous, helpful, and efficient. They were respectful of our dietary requirements, and the cook and kitchen staff followed through! Fresh comfort food well-prepared with great flavor and attractive presentation, true for multiple dishes we ordered. Comfortable, low-key vibe. Happy to call Legacy our "home base" place during our visit.
Asked hostess for a close table for friend with mobility issues; she tried to place us at a distant table though the place was almost empty.
Waiter asked us about dessert before we were all finished eating; same for giving us the check.
Food: chicken and ahi tuna salad were good. Shrimp tacos weren’t great and side order of beans seemed microwaved.
The food was really not good. The initial order for one guest had chips that tasted like they were days old. The fries were all small. It seemed like they were the bottom of a container. The service was slow.
It was empty for a Friday night... I assume everyone else already knows it's not very good.
Our server was struggling to keep up with his tables, we waited a long time for our food and then he took forever to get the check and wouldn’t split it for us. The food was okay, but felt very unorganized and Not very well managed. Would probably not go here again.
The food was fair, but not the creative things you find in other breakfast/ brunch places in NOLA. The service was terrible. Took forever to get a server. Took forever to get coffee. Coffee came with no creamer, no spoons. Had to ask for each of these, and it took about 10 minutes I would say. Food finally came. We three ordered beignets to share after breakfast, and those came in a decent amount of time. But they did not come with three plates. I finally got up and found someone to ask for them, since I could not find my serve. We got there at 9:30 am, and it wasn't crowded, so I don't know what the issue was. Maybe training new staff?
This is my second time at Legacy Kitchen and unfortunately wasn't as great of an experience as the last time I was there. The menu online was different than in person, which isn't a dealbreaker but was part of how we based our decision to go there. Also, service was very slow despite the fact that it was pretty empty. The waitress kept forgetting to bring us things we asked for and couldn't answer any of our menu related questions.
The food was good, and prices are reasonable and the place has awesome ambiance, but service was disappointing.
We were able to get a reservation last minute on New Year’s Eve which should have been an indicator of what to expect. Atmosphere was decent but food was not good. Bland and boring. The one thing my kids really wanted was ribs and they were out of them so they got a “ribeye” which was a fatty sirloin at best. My chicken had no taste and the fried part just fell off the breast as soon as I picked it up. We would not go back.
If you’re not from NOLA don’t bother with this establishment, there are much better, more affordable places to dine. The food wasn’t bad, but genuinely mediocre. The service and tea was good, and I’m glad I didn’t waste a dinner here.
Yummy food and great service. Really good bloody Mary’s before the game!
Make sure to make an exact reservation. If you dont, getting seating can be an issue. The hostess stand staff could be nicer. Our server was great!
Drinks were watery, food was just warm and service was spotty. It's a hotel restaurant.
This was a horrible restaurant. We had a reservation so we were sat right away. Our waiter brought our drinks and took our order. We ordered soup and an appetizer and then entrees all at once. He didn't write any of it down.
We waited 30-40 minutes for our apps and they never came so we asked him and it was clear he'd completely forgotten to put them in. No biggie. It happens.
He put the order in and they came 10-15 mins later. With no soup spoon. We didn't realize that until the food runner walked away. We tried to wave down our waiter to no avail for 10 mins. Finally got him and told him. He ran off to get one ... And never came back. Sat another 5 or so minutes and finally asked to see a manager. He got us the spoon and a fresh bowl of soup since it was now cold.
Got that. The soup and spinach and artichoke dip we're good but then we waited another 20 minutes hoping to see our entrees. The manager didn't come to check on us despite knowing our waiter had been flaky.
Finally, the waiter came back and asked if we wanted to have dessert. We told him we hadn't gotten our entrees. Again, he was completely shocked. He never put that order in either.
Our server was very nice and made good recommendations.
We ate here for Christmas morning. Just a quick lunch. I give the service a break given the day but the food was relatively standard - nothing unique.
Our waitress, Lettie was by far one of the rudest, most ill-prepared servers I've ever experienced. We waited 35 mins for water, 15 mins for clean glasses after the 35 minute wait and after all that, finally had to have the manager take our orders for drinks and food. The table next to us was sat with two different parties, both of which walked out on the service beacuse she was so bad. The restaurant wasn't busy, so I was very confused to delay. The manager Adam was great, and did his best to turn it around.
Outstanding decor and location including valet parking
Very limited dessert menu
Great food and service. Fun setting.
My wife and I were visiting New Orleans and found Legacy online. When we arrived there was no one at the check-in table and it took several minutes for someone to show up, we almost left. After being seated it took sometime for us to be approached.
Our waitress was very personable and new what she was doing, but she was also assigned a very large group. She was nice to make sure that our order got in before the big group. But in watching how the restaurant operated, there was chaos. I could look into the kitchen and see there was very little formal process going on.
The food was very good and the price was great.
Great spot for a team dinner
Food was good but our server was exceptional
We loved the ambiance and the food was really delicious. However, the service was horrible. We arrived and were shown to a table. Our waitress brought water, asked if we wanted a drink. We said we would wait for our friends. Our friends were 15 mins late so we changed our minds and wanted to order a drink. But our waitress was no where to be found. I asked the hostess to send her over. Still no sign of her. Our friends arrived. Finally a different waiter showed up and we placed drink and dinner orders. The original waiter brought 2 wine glasses but no wine and failed to bring my cocktail. Finally, after we had been there 45 mins, the waiter appeared with the wine, commenting that they were out of glassware. What? At 6 on a Saturday? At this point, I get up from the table and head to the bar to get my own drink. The bar tender said he was getting to my drink, again mentioning a shortage of glasses. The food was delicious. Everything we ate was so good. Too bad the staff was a hot mess.
Food was good. Only issue we had was that the server was inattentive. I hade to get up and ask for the check. Odd.
Enjoyed the Mango Tango, just the right fusion of flavor! My kids loved and finished their meal as well. Ambiance is good and kid-friendly. Ordered pecan toffee bread pudding and it was delicious.
It was good, but my dish (a fried chicken sandwich) was not that great as the chicken itself was very very tough (though the breading was fantastic...and the fries were perfect). Still, we had an fine meal.
The restaurant decor was cute and the food was good. The service was terrible! Our waited came by the table maybe twice before our food came out to which he promptly brought out our checks before we even began eating. The chicken sandwiches were not cooked all the way through. Our groups felt unwanted and rushed. I would not suggest dinning here or return.
Great food and service
The host was nice and energetic but our server was very slow, it took forever to take our order after she brought our drinks even though the restaurant was virtually empty (only two tables with guests, besides us), she was courteous but didn't seem much motivated. Another flaw: she brought our entrees before the soup and also my friend had ordered a "cup" of soup and she just brought the whole soup so we ended up with a lot of food. It would have been nice of her to comment that they do not do "cups", only the whole order, but she didn't bother. Ah, and BTW they had put us as a "no show" on OpenTable. Definitively not coming back.
Good food. Server took a while to process bill. Menu on opentable doesn’t include breakfast options.
This is slightly better than diner food. We waited for half an hour for 2 main course salads, even though the restaurant was less than a quarter full. One salad, which featured avocados, did not have any at all. I had to ask for it. The waiter handed us the bill in the middle of the meal, for some inexplicable reason. That being said, the reception was amiable and the salads were fine.
Never disappointed whenever we eat here. There is something on the menu for everyone
