Food very good but the noise level made us not linger. 3 tables of drunken women (9-3-2) who were shouting and laughing.
Delicious food and great service. The happy hour is a terrific deal. Cannot wait to go back.
Ordinarily, we love the Left Bank and go there relatively often. But, the air conditioning was not working, or not working well. The result was a sweltering hot experience. If dining there in the summer, one should call to check if the AC is working.

Very accommodating to our party as some of us arrived early. All the staff seemed happy and friendly from the hostess to the assistant servers. Great atmosphere and cozy design. Excellent food. Burger and risotto were the favorites of the table. Definitely recommend!
We had a late reservation on a Friday night with a large group. Even though there were only a handful of other customers in the restaurant the service was painfully slow. Our server was slow to take our orders for drinks, appetizers, and entrees; forgot to get orders from members of our group; and extremely slow to deliver everything. It was like pulling teeth to ask him to order another drink.
That said, the food was delicious and the ambiance was great. I would recommend this restaurant if you can somehow guarantee you have a better server.
Exceptional service and delicious food. Beets appetizer was fantastic and Atlantic salmon was perfectly cooked accompanied with fresh vegetables and savory sauce
Really great experience from start to finish. Food, service, and all the rest. Sophisticated, a little rustic, good balance. The maple syrup desert was amazing, too--not too sweet and rather unusual in a good way.
Pleasant enough but very mediocre burger served with unbeatable bread. Martini small.

We had a great brunch - my omelet not only delicious but huge. I brought half of it home and had it for lunch tge next day. I had been there before and it’s definitely on my list for a return visit.

We had a BlackBoard Eats code that thankfully brought us here for the first time. Food and service was excellent. Very nice setting and despite sitting near the bar, the noise level was not a problem. Everything we had was well prepared and presented. Oysters were briny; soft shell crab was outstanding (best I've had). Entrees of trout and pasta were very, very good. Dessert was a shared chocolate mousse that was superb. Definitely will return.

Our favorite Sunday evening go to restaurant in the West Village. Ashley is just the best.
Left Bank is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. The food is always great and the service is spectacular. To start, the cocktail and wine list is interesting and good. The appetizers have a nice selection and the oysters are some of the best in NYC. The mains are so good and the portions are the right size. It is comfortable and not too tight like some West Village places can get. We often sit at the bar and eat - but this night we grabbed a table for four that was lovely. Overall, our favorite place in the Village.
This has been a go-to place for me for a while. Consistently good food and good service in a nice atmosphere. Very dependable.
Went for brunch with a friend. Cute spot. Menu ideas were good. However, dishes were small and unimpressive. I ordered two meals just for myself to try more of the menu (dutch pancake and the huevos rancheros). But, I still had to grab food afterwards.
One of my favorite go-to restaurants. We like everything about it. The chef is creative, the menu changing frequently. Staff is accommodating and welcoming. I have never had a bad experience, and have eaten at LB at least 25 times since it's opened.
Our recent experience was for Mothers Day brunch. Outrageously good, especially the French toasts...my daughter said the Bloody Mary was the best she had ever had (it's the only drink SHE ever has, and she is very demanding about it).
I hope LB is around forever.
We were a group of 6. The food was just ok. The tagliatelle Bolognese was amazing but the cacio e pepe was basically overcooked noodles with butter. Things were very under seasoned generally speaking. The waiter was covering 2 rooms so disappeared for long periods however he did comp us 2 items that did not come out with appetizers when the entrees arrived. That was nice. Overall it was a lively and friendly place with great atmosphere with reasonably fair food.
Based on other reviews I chose this restaurant for night out with our daughter. Drinks were good and some of our dishes were more than just good but a few things mixed the mark by quite a bit. An order of grilled octopus was very good but the chopped liver appetizer was heavy handed and greasy. The chopped liver was not smooth and there was way too much on two nice pieces of crispy bread but there was way too much butter. My husband ordered an appetizer portion of the pasta with bolognese sauce, I ordered a dinner portion. They were both the same size and a lot of the pasta was stuck together. All in all we enjoyed being together and the service was good - maybe we'll give it another try.
I mentioned it was a special occasion and when I walked in, they clearly made it feel special. We managed to catch the end of happy hour which is great with app+pasta and $6 wines. The service was really above and beyond and the food is to die for.
Picked this restaurant because of its location in a charming West Village neighborhood.
Very disappointing - they were out of the dish I wanted and I ordered a chef salad with chicken instead. Very unimaginative with dry chicken and soggy croutons.
Will not go back.

We love this place!! We like the people and the food never disappoints us. We live in the neighborhood and do not hesitate to eat at The Left Bank.
This was a charming space and the food and service was good. My friend and were were surprised that when we got there at 11:30, there weren't many people. However, when we left, the restaurant was almost full. Although there were many people, the space was still quite quiet. There was a separate room in which my friend and I sat which was lovely.
Left Bank is a cozy and chic restaurant. The servers were all very friendly, however, everyone seemed a bit panicked. I'm not sure if it was exceptionally busy or they were just new to the restaurant but everyone was running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The restaurant is definitely loud, so perfect for a big group. However, the food was mediocre and bland. We had three different appetizers (kale salad, beets, and a fennel salad) which were great and so fresh tasting. However, the entrees were very very bland. I had the muscles and my mother had the steak. They both tasted like they had zero seasoning or flavor.
Fabulous food in a quaint setting. Our server gave us great suggestions and we enjoyed every part of our meal. The shaved Brussels sprout salad was a perfect start followed by a wonderfully prepared trout entree. Portions were generous.

The food was delicious! My husband and I split the steak frites, the pasta bolognese, and the shaved brussel sprout salad to start. When we asked that the steak be cooked a little more toward medium the wait staff happily grabbed the plate, and gave us a complimentary fennel and orange salad while we waited! They returned a new piece of steak, cooked to perfection, instead of the piece we already cut through. The servers were friendly and informative. They were also attentive to my food allergies.
When we arrived we would like to be seated. The staff was very kind and attentive. We ordered appetizers and entrées from the farm to table menu. Unfortunately the food was rather bland, and was not what I had expected or the rest of my party. Overall the restaurant has potential, But the food needs improvement.
The food, service and feel of Left Bank is amazing. I can't wait to go back with more friends.
Good food, but extremely loud and slow service.
Nice. All staff go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.
