   Roxy was our server and she was FANTASTIC! Roxy is professional and so friendly. This was our family’s Easter dinner while visiting our daughter who is a SSU student and the Ledger’s food, excellent service and atmosphere made it a wonderful event for us.

   We were seated within 5 minutes of our 7p.m. reservation at a large table for the 7 of us. We were next to the kitchen which was very interesting and fun to watch. Our server Martina was outstanding with her knowledge of the menu and very attentive to each one of us. The food was delivered hot and at the same time with a team of servers who also showed their skill and interest in each diner by serving the food with a smile and care and without dropping the food and running off. Other nice touches were the team efforts to make sure there was always water on the table and a surprise sample of soup. This was because of the busy night and to assuage the wait for the entrees. Well done. We have been here a few times before and our granddaughter chose Ledger to celebrate her 19th birthday.

   Must have wood-grilled half chicken ,incredible well season chicken and roasted vegetables with mash potatoes, no other place have the best chicken

   Food was good and large servings, but even with a reservation we had to wait 20 minutes for our table. Service was slow at the table as well. Felt understaffed.

   Food was okay. Portions above average. Service pleasant and accurate but drinks and dishes took too long to deliver.

   Ledger is a regular for us when we get together as a family. It is also reliably one of the best dinner spots in Salem. The standouts are the service, the wine list, and the quality of the food preparation. My only suggestion would be to change the menu more frequently as it has been the same menu for many years.

    Food was fabulous, they had some great specials on a Wednesday night. Enjoyed the open bar area. I celebrated a birthday with my nephew and they brought out desert with a candle with hand written Happy Birthday frosting on the plate it was served on. I had mentioned in the reservation we were celebrating a birthday but I didn't mention after we placed our order, even I was surprised!
