Parking is available behind the restaurant.
It was awesome!!
Place and experience was nice. But food is very slow. Very slow
At first...walking in I thought I was at the wrong place, took away 4 stars. My party was greeted and seated immediately upon arrival, no waiting, added back 2 stars.
I arrived for Brunch not Dinner. Didn’t even know I was there for brunch but ordered anyway since it took forever to get a reservation. I had to experience what the hype was about.
Placed order took a while, no problems there since I knew ahead of time it takes a minute.
Food came out.. shrimp and grits arrived first-put fork in mouth-added 18 stars!!! Forgot about the appearance and the wait to even get in the place, I was in heaven—is all I can say! Made 2 more reservations- 1 for Brunch again and I wanna try the Dinner. All in all-I give it 25 stars!! Wanted to personally tip the Chef/Chefs $100 but couldn’t afford to🥴 Enough said! Hope you get in there soon-good luck😁
My friend's birthday was nice. I have been here twice before and had a horrible experience both times, but I wanted to have the experience that people rave about so I have come back again.
This time was better!
The ambiance was great, as well as the service. I ordered the chicken pasta. The noodles in the pasta were over cooked and it didn’t have much flavor. My husband ordered the chicken and mashed potatoes-it was better than my pasta but the macaroni he had as his second side was dry. The chicken wings (appetizer) and drinks were the best part. We went and tried it but would only go back for the wings.
Overall, we enjoyed our time there. Restaurant is pretty small, so our table was really close to the folks next to us. The wait staff was helpful, but it took a long time for us to get our food (over an hour). The food was good though, I will more than likely try it again in the future.
Food was nice and fresh! Nice atmosphere... Environment was clean. I’ll definitely be back.
The food was ok, but I expected more for the price. Service was not at all what I'd expect from an upscale restaurant. Manager asked how things were going. We informed her of a concern. She said she'd go check something and be right back but she never returned. I thought that was pretty unprofessional.
The host was a wonderful friendly person. She checked on us more than our waitress. And one she asked had our server took are order and we said know she had a different server there. The food was good and hot when it came out. Only thing I can recommend is they remove the tails off the shrimp. Especially when there cooked into your omelet. Or any food item that's not a shrimp cocktail.
Food is always great, try the fish and grits.
Loved it to the fullest!!A bit pricey but worth it for the portion size of the food . Definitely will go back!!
Where do I start!? I waited over 30 days to go this place and it was a complete disappointment! I have been to plenty of fine dining restaurant and this ain’t it! My waiter had no social skills. He didn’t even have the common decency to introduce himself, he just fixed the table because it kept tipping over and he was like “ can I take your order” ? The host served our drinks and when we ask her what drinks she was giving us she said “ I don’t know” I’m not a drinker!? Then she yells across the room and ask the bartender what was the drinks! Lol straight ghetto! The food was terrible! The sweet potato mash was absolutely disgusting! The sweet potatoes I’m certain it was canned not fresh. The walnut topping was gross and stale! My whipped potatoes came from the box and the chef had the audacity to mask that boxed mess with some Parmesan cheese! The “ rib eye” bites were terrible and I’m convinced it was beef stew meat! Oh and the Mamba pasta was HORRIBLE and soupy! I don’t know if the owners are getting comfortable because business is booming! But if they keep this up the will be calling Chef Ramsey to help them revive their restaurant! This place is a joke they charging Capital Grill prices and serving starters food and starters services! I will never go back
The service lacked any sophistication. Well intentioned but I shouldn’t have to ask for water and wait 10 minutes for you to come the first time or 15 minutes for you to come check on the drink someone else delivered that was wrong. I am not a price person when I dine I do it for the experience and as a NYC diner price is not an issue. I only notice the cost when the service and the food are awful. Pasta with sauce like soup, crab cakes full of breading, bread straight from Costco to the microwave with a slather of butter as cover. Smoke from burning food in the kitchen bugs from the open door trying to get rid of the smoke.
Detroit has so much better to offer!
Nice restaurant. Great service. However, don't park outside between 4-6pm or you will come back to your vehicle with a $45 ticket even if you paid the meter!!
Good food with a Soul Twist- fun place & dishes!!!
I hate to say this because we had such high hopes. However, this was our first experience with LeCulture and it was NOT a good one. We were excited about the dish we ordered because we heard so much about it (Seafood Overload Mac & Cheese), but when we tasted it we were very disappointed. The lobster was overcooked, (now don't get me wrong I love a cheesy mac, but...) the cheese was overkill (extra thick and greasy). We were also told that the wings were a good choice for an appetizer. They were extremely tiny (with 1 option: FLATS ONLY). Our bread was a croissant with an extremely, overly soaked, sweet and sticky sauce. And last but certainly not least, our 2 overhyped entrees and 1 bite sized appetizer (no drinks and no extras) came to $70.00!!!! Unreal!!! Not that price is an issue for us, but that was an insult based on taste and what we received.
Now... I digress.
Although our first experience wasn't the best, we WILL give LeCulture Cafe a 2nd chance. We'll try different dishes next time. Maybe it was just an off day for them. Either way I'll be sure to give another review and hopefully it'll be a better one.
We had a lovely experience. We were seated right away since the time of day was crucial because of it intimate size. The wait staff and manager was really nice and kept checking to to if we good with everything we needed. The lamb chops were excellent and seafood overload was very good also. Will go back again.
I’ve waited months to get into this “hot and trendy” restaurant only to be met with mediocrity. Just literally nothing I expected, it’s very tight in there so if it’s busy you’ll get a high school lunch room feel... not the place to go if you want a private romantic dinner. The menu is more seafood driven so if you’re like me and not much of a seafood fan this isn’t the place for you... I had the new Zealand lamb chops... they left most of the meat in New Zealand they were so fatty and not prepared the way i asked too pink... had they been cooked properly the flavor was definitely there. I paired that with mashed potatoes (Dry) and an addition side of Mac and cheese (undercooked) didn’t hold up to my standards for Mac. I really don’t want ppl to think all you have to do is put a lot of cheese on noodles and put it in the broiler... it still needs flavor and noodles were again undercooked...on the up side my best friend had the salmon tower that was good salmon was a bit over cooked but the overall dish was delicious. Together we spent $100 me personal I don’t feel it was worth the money. Maybe I came on a off night I’ll try it again but I won’t rush..
The food & the service was great and I will definitely be back soon, 😉 if I can get some reservations of course, because the place is so good that it stays busy. 😊
The food was excellent the taste the presentation customer service was awesome the only problem was my salmon tower could have been hotter... but I didn't complain hopefully next time it would be a little better....
Food was a little salty and mac and cheese was greasy but other food was good
Absolute fantastic! Food was served in a timely matter. Our waitress was nice. The people were friendly. I will be going back soon.
Absolutely loved it. Food was good, service was fine. Everything I hoped it’d be.
Food was delicious. Timing of when food wasbrought out was off. Was disappointed that they didn’t have peach cobbler nor carrot cake.
First time there Great experience. Food was super Goood
Food was good, but it was not worth the horrible service I received from my waitress. She was more focused on posting the pictures she took with Apryl Jones who was also dining at that time.
Service was attentive but not as efficient. Had to wait a while for the food. Four repeated songs playing over and over was a little annoying. Otherwise, it could have been a 5 star easily.
The food was very salty. Overpriced for the portions you get. Service was not so great. I asked to change my order and the girl rolled her eyes. They messed the bill up twice after explaining to them multiple times how to split it. We were waiting an additional 20 minutes while they try to figure it out and it was still wrong! They need a more professional staff.
Food was good. It was loud due to customers.
I went for brunch and I wasn’t impressed. I will return for their dinner menu.
I had a late reservation for 10pm so I was a little uncertain but the service was great! The chef brought out our food and it was well presented and tasted amazing!
Food was excellent but over priced.. not intimate enough maybe a bigger building . Drinks was good but over priced. My drink wasn’t filled up to the top for it to be 13.00. great music
The food was over priced and did not live up to the hype. Despite the made to order dishes, the food was luke warm. The mac and cheese was rich with not enough noodles and 1/3 of it was the broiled cheese topping.
Very nice atmosphere! The service was good and the food was on point..
This was the best food that I have eaten in Detroit. A-1
Parking is terrible waitress was at the front most of the time only checked on the table twice food was okay my chicken was hard sent it back but the restaurant had a nice atmosphere soothing vibe
Server wasnt really helping us like the other servers my chicken sandwich was cooked to hard but my appetizer was delicious if the parking was better it would have been a great experience but I do hope to come back the restaurant has a soothing atmosphere to it
I had a great time for me and my fiancés anniversary I just wish that we weren’t sitting by the door it was a small space and I felt crammed up especially when the servers sat another couple right next to us I felt I couldn’t continue with my conversation and for us to have made reservations I feel as if we shouldn’t have been led to sit right next to the door the only thing that was separating us from the door was the drape that was hanging!!
Maybe my expectations were a bit high from the hype but my experience was okay. The food portions were huge and worth the money but it is very rich so I was full fast. And my cocktails were both terrible. Music was great!
We truly enjoyed my dinner, the service was good but was slow with the drinks. I do recommend that you enforce a dress code. The food is exquisite, so your guest should not come to your restaurant in sweats and gym shoes.
