   Superbe expérience. Tout est parfait : le repas, le vin, le service, la musique, l’ambiance. Et les saveurs sont au rendez-vous, tout en fraîcheur, en délicatesse et en créativité. Je reviendrai c’est sûr pour goûter aux autres plats sur le menu. Plats classiques (et on comprend maintenant pourquoi parce que ouf! c’est vraiment bon): le jambon blanc et le gâteau aux carottes.

   A surprising miss for this restaurant stalwart. Food was generally executed at a high level, as expected - but without hitting it out of the ballpark. Service was friendly but disjointed as courses arrived without tableware and drinks were not well attended through dinner.

   Loved everything about this place until they told me I needed to leave to make room for more guests. And I was at the bar! Food amazing. Wine amazing. If you make a reservation, you should not get kicked out.

   Our server was delightfully knowledgable about the menu and the sommelier equally so with the wine list. All recommendations were appreciated. My dining companions found some of the dishes salty, particularly the sauce served with a beautifully grilled halibut. The fish was to die for. I eat slowly and found the checks on my progress a little invasive and distracting but I understand why things must be that way. All in all, a fantastic dining experience. Despite any criticism, one of my dining companions declared Le Vin Papillon her new favourite restaurant in Montreal!!
