Established in 1937, Le Veau d’Or reopens under neo-bistro extraordinaires, Chefs Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson.

The renaissance pays homage to the incredible history of the space while bringing an elevated level of execution to the food and beverage programs.

Le Veau d'Or serves a $125 prix-fixe dinner menu Tuesday - Saturday and an $85 prix-fixe lunch menu Tuesday - Friday. We can accommodate up to four people per reservation in our main dining room. Unfortunately, we don't push tables together for larger parties, but our private dining room can host groups up to 24!

Our bar is available for walk-ins where guests can enjoy lunch, dinner, or just a drink!

Our intimate dining room means we are unable to adjust party sizes once a reservation is confirmed. Decreases in party size will be subject to a fee of $50/seat.

Take comfort in the wood-paneled walls, red leather booths, and red-and-white checkered tablecloths, and get ready for a polished prix-fixe menu of pâté en croûte, poached lobster, and île flottante, among others. This is my new favorite French restaurant in the city. Great, underground atmosphere, with a petite bar and an appropriately cozy environment that still allows for mid to loud conversations. Sarah, the bar manager, was so knowledgeable and walked us through the menu while we stood waiting for our table. Cocktails were solid. Every single food item was delectable. The pate cannot be missed as an appetizer, nor can the escargot - some of the best I've ever had. For entree, some standouts were the duck, the skate, and the lobster. This is one of those restaurants that actually lives up to the hype - from a born and raised New Yorker.

Lovely spot for lunch. Glad we arrived at 11:45 for quieter atmosphere as it can get loud. Loved the variety of the cocktail menu. They offer 2 course lunch for $85, additional for dessert & glad we opted for a delicious Chocolate Mousse. Duck entree was perfection. Beef Tartare entree definitely needs work - too much horseradish. Chicken is ho-hum. The menu needs some tweaking. Attentive service is as good as it gets.

Excellent food and excellent service. IMHO thus is the best French restaurant in town. Yes, it is pricey, but it is a great value for what you get

We had a wonderful time. The food was great, as were the martinis. Service is excellent and the staff are all very friendly. Just a lovely restaurant.

Truly an extraordinary meal. The food is delicious, the service impeccable, the wine list and cocktails (that martini!) superb. We can’t wait to go back.

Such a wonderful experience in every way! Olivia was so kind and accommodating, as were all of the staff who visited our table. The energy is very similar to the Bistros we love in France, and the food is divine. We will most certainly return whenever we visit NYC!!

It was an absolutely exquisite meal. Every dish was executed perfectly, rich, straightforward, delicious, and balanced. The restaurant itself was warm, comfortable, and it really felt like you were somewhere in a quiet nook in Paris.
