Anchoring the renaissance of Rockefeller Center is Le Rock, a thoughtful revamp of a historic Art Deco space from James Beard Award-winning chefs Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr. From the team behind some of Manhattan’s best restaurants (including Frenchette and Le Veau d'Or) comes an updated take on a grand brasserie in a iconic space, hailed by The New York Times in a Critic’s Pick three star review as “truly exciting”. Though focused on French cuisine, the location is iconic New York - Le Rock is located on 50th St between Fifth and Sixth Avenues adjacent to the Theater District, as well as MoMA and Radio City Music Hall. Open six days a week (closed Sunday), weekdays with continuous service from lunch until 9 pm.

Wonderful atmosphere, service and ambiance. Food lackluster Leek salad was undercooked and hard to chew Coq au Vin was also hard and not soft off the bone as it should be. Dony think we will be returning anytime soon

As always, Le Rock is fancy without being stuffy. The food is always superb. This is a place to take both out of town friends/colleagues, as well as to stop by after work for a well prepared drink and a soul satisfying appetizer at the bar. It's a haven.

Dinner at Le Rock was great. Love how the very basics things like vinaigrettes are very very good. Seasoning was on point as your palette did not feel overwhelmed after dinner. The only thing feedback I could give to the kitchen, was that the tourné potatoes in the bouillabaisse were a bit under cooked. Other than that, my daughter and I had a really good meal. Thanks to the kitchen and the dining room staff for a really good experience.

Very welcoming from the minute you enter until you leave. Great friendly service, nice menu at decent prices. The steak frites was excellent!

Incredibly disappointed, especially after NYT calling it one of NYC’s best 100 restaurants in 2024. We were a party of 3 for lunch. Two of us ordered steak frites, at different temps. They took forever to arrive. When they finally came, the server mixed them up and told us to cut into them to figure out which was which. Mine (medium rare) was still far overcooked, and the flavor and texture of the meat was subpar. Service was generally inattentive, even after most of the lunch crowd had cleared out. Don’t waste your time here.

Freezing cold. Service indifferent. Ran out of vow au vin. Never brought coffee. Food ok but expensive. Wine expensive and so-so. Very disappointing.

Food was good though they ran out of the day’s special which we wanted to order. Noise level took away from the dining experience. We could not have a conversation across the table because of the noise level. We were really looking forward to dining at Le Rock and came away disappointed.

Service was very good, but don’t know what it would be like at the peak of business (we were dining early prior to a show). Food was well prepared and delicious. Noise level can be quite high at the peak of business. On the whole, definitely recommend.
