This restaurant was amazing. My girlfriend and I went for her birthday and we were able to speak French with the waiter (we studied it in school). My girlfriend had studied abroad in Paris also and said the restaurant felt exactly as if she was back in Paris. We would definitely, definitely recommend Le Rivage and look forward to going back soon!
This place was so amazing! The waiters were so nice and accommodating!
Great meal and service
My friends and I were delighted with the table in the corner near the window. We were treated with such respect and was given ample time to review the menu.
The service was excellent. The food choices were amazing and everyone said their selection was delicious.
We would certainly recommend the Le Rivage to friends and family.
Very accommodating to guests and very warm and welcoming.
Three French waiters sang happy birthday to me. Nice French wine by the half bottle. Very charming.
La revised was as usual an excellent experience, good food, good pricing, lovely pleasant staff. One of my favorite restaurants in NYC
Terrific service and an excellent meal, made for a wonderful pre theatre dining experience. I will definitely be going back
I really enjoy Le Rivage! The food is tremendous and it is my Friday night go to place. The pate is delicious-I always have it for an appetizer. For my main course i either get filet mignon or chicken cordon bleu-delicious. This is the best pre-theatre place on 46th Street. Ellen is a wonderful server. Missed her when she was on vacation.
Got there before the dinner crowd and the entire staff was standing around at our service. Great service because of that but a little uncomfortable being watched. Otherwise food was great. Would recommend!
One of my favorite NYC restaurants! If you love Paris, this is a taste of that wonderful city right here in New York.
Probably better for lunch...no a la carte available at 4pm..3 course fixed menu only which was not indicated on website...food was fair...cheesecake tasted like gelatin..good creme brulee
I’m am sorry to see your less than perfect review. It seems that you were disappointed that we didn’t accommodate you with an a la carte option,we absolutely do mention this on our website, and it’s been our standard pretheater for 8 decades. I’m sure that set the mood & our review suffered the consequence. We stand by our food, everyone can have an opinion. Chef Paul Denamiel
Great flood, service and good portions and value on the prixe fixed menu
EVERYTHING AT THIS RESTAURANT WAS FANTASTIC: THE SERVICE, THE AMBIENCE, AND THE FOOD. THE "PICK 3" MENU OFFERED ENOUGH VARIETY SO THAT EVEN THE MOST FUSSY OF EATERS WOULD BE ABLE TO FIND SOMETHING. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY OFFERED A CHOICE OF SPRING WATER, AND OTHER WATERS, BUT DIDN'T TELL YOU THEY CHARGED $$ FOR THE SPARKLING...
Family getting together. Live jazz music very good.
We had a wonderful time.
The service was fine, the food was ok and the price for the quality was not as good as I expected.
The service and food were exceptional. We are repeat customers and will definitely be back again!
Great for before theater, great for after theater, great even if not going to the theater. The price is reasonable, and the hustle and bustle are quite French. The traditional bistro menu has many winners, including the duck a l’orange, bœuf Bourguignon, the trout and especially the baked mussels (appetizer)—all are perfectly French and perfectly prepared.
This was a pre-theater dinner and the service was excellent! Three courses with wine and we were finished with time to spare. Great salmon and sole almandine!
The food has slipped a smidge. The mussels didn’t have much taste. The chocolate mousse tasted more like pudding than mousse.
The food was quite good, the service was decent, but they rushed us through dinner. There was no line, and there were empty tables. It was a sour note to end a lovely dinner.
I absolutely apologize for this experience, never should you feel rushed. This will reminded to all staff, particularly our new employees that this is not part of our reputation. Please reach out to me and I will make up for it on your next visit. Chef Paul
The food and service are always great. When in New York, we never miss eating here.
Merci beaucoup for your patronage, you are the contributing factor to our success. Chef Paul Denamiel
