Le Provencal Ratings and Reviews
I am glad to see Le Provencal reopened. The menu is somewhat different than before the closed for renovations, but the food is excellent. They have the same chef as before. The music was a little loud, and it is not as quaint as it was before the remodel, but it is nice. It is worth a visit, especially for dinner.
STUPENDOUS!!!!!!!!!!!I i just had a 3 hours dinner/dessert, all appetizers and wine and champagne and it was AMAZING!!! WE started with a full bodied french red, (see pic for label) the traditional garlic and wine/butter sauce escargot, very nice, then the terrine de foie gras, onion orange marmalade . We loved it, on its own. it did not need bells and whistles, then we had the carpaccio, I added salt and pepper,. it was terrific. Now mind you by now we have shared a WONDERFUL bottle of wine, and have decided on the Chocolate souffle and a 1/2 bottle of Perrier Jouet ... like SERIOUSLY , the most amazing thing EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! This restaurant is a MUST stop...I did not even get to mention the service!! We were catered to like VIPS! and it seems everyone is! I can't praise them any more ....5 stars!!!
We came to celebrate Bastille Day and were not disappointed. The service and food were excellent. The ambience was festive with the help of an accordionist playing typical Parisian music to the delight of everyone there. We will definitely return on our next visit to Miracle Mile in Coral Gables.
Everything we ordered off the menu was served hot and it was very tasty. We ordered escargots, we get a salad, snapper filet and the chocolate souffle. Our glasses were refilled with water constantly, did not have to ask. The chocolate souffle was the best part of the meal. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to friends.
The waitstaff was fantastic one was from Paris the other was from Miami and of Cuban descent. The owner was fantastic. Our family is French and American and Scottish and Irish. We came with Puerto Ricans and Cubans and our family.
We all travel extensively and I am originally from Manhattan.
I would compare this restaurant to the original Cote de Basque
Or bistro Bordeaux. Which by the way my wife's family owned.
Fantastic soups with great base stocks made by hand.
My foie gras was fantastic as was my scallop main course.
My daughter got the filet mignon rare and it was like butter. Most other people got the lamb which was perfect.
I will be going back before I leave Miami and I will continue to go there forever it has my highest recommendation and everyone else's that joined us
The food was very good , however the hostess was rude. I booked the reservation through open table for 7 PM. I arrived at the restaurant at about 5:10(previous plans finished earlier than expected) to see if we could eat earlier. If not , I would have returned at 7PM. After I explained that I booked the reservation through open table , she said they don't use open table - only yelp. I showed her the email confirmation, but her attitude was extremely rude & not at all apologetic. It seems to me , that if your restaurant doesn't book reservations through open table, the restaurant should be removed from the open table listing instead of trying to make the customer feel like she was wrong. Although the food was excellent, it was not a good experience. Employees need to be educated on customer service.
I hadn't heard of Le Provençal , but thanks to Open Table I had dinner there last night. They have a very good three course menu for $39.00
The owners greet you, and the food is very good more classic French than Nouvelle Cuisine.
I will go back, and strongly recommend it
Invitation to celebrate Valentine's day with my daughter, my grandson and her boss. We had a great time.
The food is very good; although for the occasion they only had two selections for a three course meal with the same desert, excellent by the way.
The service was good although somehow slow as they had approximately 75% occupancy rate.
With a last minute reservation for this important date, we were lucky that the owners were able to accommodate us.
I have been at this restaurant for lunch in the past two weeks and is very good.
Will recommend it.
We've visited here a few times and need to say the food generally has been underwhelming especially considering the prices. Sometimes the service as well. This last time was for Valentine's Day for which they had a fixed menu, and little reason if any to fall short. No need for the fixed menu either since in particular they were not full. Only one of the appetizers, the lobster ravioli, was worth repeating. The duck was rather bad and the prime rib not much good either. Our waiter was good though, and our drinks. Need to reevaluate on returning.
