The steak au poivre was to die for! The frits amazing. The chicken was pedestrian. The chef should come up with a new chicken dish.

As always - delicious food, good wine and great service! A true neighborhood gem!!

We celebrated my husbands birthday with friends. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was good. A lovely evening.

Flavorful and well-presented food that is a little more sophisticated than the usual Hell's Kitchen fare. My companion was very happy with her vegetarian dish, which can be an afterthought in some restaurants.

Namely disappointed, but not sure if it's in OpenTable or Le Prive. Made Valentine's Day reservations in NYC for what was to be the first day of indoor dining again and specifically requested standard, indoor seating. Got seated outside in the freezing cold. Host said OpenTable didn't tell them anything.

I wanted to love this place, but the brunch menu fell flat for me. I could have made a more flavorful omelette at home. I would recommend trying for dinner instead, as that menu appears stronger.

It was a cold, rainy winter's night - but I have an absolutely lovely outdoor dining experience. They have covered seating with several large heaters, so I felt nice and warm. The salade jardin was fresh and delicious. The branzino and potato puree were both awesome. And the beignets were delightful. My server was extremely professional and helpful, and made certain that everything was perfect from start to finish. I will be going back very soon.

January 7, 35F outside, heat lamp, entire back garden to ourselves. Duck was fantastic, Chateauneuf de Pape sublime, excellent/friendly service in very tough conditions. Also a lovely heated outdoor space in front! This is the place for yummy, cozy outdoor dining in winter!

The food and service were excellent as they usually are. The outdoor dining left much to be desired. What happened to the tent and heaters? I communicated prior to arrival that our party of 8 wanted to be seated in the garden, yet when we arrived no tables had been set up and the tent was not up, no heater on. It was about 20 degrees and metal chairs were part of the problem - freezing one's bottom! Outdoor seating can work but you have to plan for the diners comfort with enough heaters, seat cushions, blankets, etc. I was disappointed in the lack of ambiance and absolutely no decor.

Fabrice was such a great server and human being. We laughed we talked and btw the food was perfect! Great place that makes you feel like home. Will definitely be back!

Such a cute place with a gracious staff - and some of the best French Onion Soup I have had outside of France. The only thing I am sad about it that it took me so long to to finally try it out. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

I ate at Le Prive in November 2020. We sat outside on the back patio. There were only a few other diners out there and the tables were nicely spaced for Covid. There was also an overhead tent and heaters. The temperature was in the 40s, but the heaters allowed us to comfortably enjoy our meal. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I find French restaurants tend to make a great hamburger, and Le Prive is no exception. Highly recommend dining here!

Food is quite good (not my fav escargots, but still decent)....service is great - especially Fabian! Will definitely go again.

Came for a late Saturday lunch. We were greeted with a friendly waiter and mimosas for having made a reservation in advance. While we sat inside there was front and back patio seating available as well. I had salad nicoise and my SO had the escargot. The menu and cocktail list are small but solid. COVID protocols followed and tables spaced appropriately. Will return!

Food was amazing as was the service! Loved how they had heated seating outdoors and all of the staff was amazing. The hostess was very kind and even went above and beyond for us and the waitstaff was very efficient! Food was excellent too! The duck and steak frites were to die for!

I love this place. The food is excellent. We sat in the back patio, and they were able to comfortably accommodate a group of 8. I went for my birthday last year and came back again this year. All I remembered was the food was so good, and that held true. The waiters were friendly and kind, they made me feel very special on my day.

We returned to Le Prive after quite awhile. Last time we were rushing to the theater, this time we were eating outdoors and not rushing anywhere.

We enjoyed a drink with a cheese plate that had 4 great choices along with honey, red onion marmalade and bread with olive oil. For dinner we enjoyed a duck breast and bouillabaise along with a side of asparagus. Everything was delicious and we even splurged on the calories for beignets to share as our dessert.

Had the most wonderful experience here! From start to finish the service was top notch, including complimentary port wine and shots. My friends and I came for Sunday brunch and sat in the gorgeous backyard patio which we basically had to ourselves the whole time!

This restaurant was great. The ambience was nice. However, the waiter asked the table if we wanted tap or sparkling water, usually this is free of charge; however, the waiter failed to mention they would charge $8 for a small bottle of sparkling water, which was upsetting.

The food and service was great. Also, lovely wine selection.

Let me just say I’m so grateful to have found this gem of a restaurant in the midst of a time like this where I was able to gather close friends and celebrate my sister’s 25th bday. They made our experience so memorable with over the top special treatment we were not expecting. We connected so well with the staff and on top of that the food and ambiance were superb. I will definitely be coming back for many more dinners at le Prive. Thank you Ms. Marion for your welcoming hospitality, it was much appreciated.

There are a lot of options for restaurants in nyc and after trying many of them you develop a sense for those that stand out. This is one that stands out for many reasons. Beautiful interior which is now open safely post covid, food that is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced, and staff that seems to care a ton about every customer. We were there on a busy night and just had such a wonderful experience that really made us forget about everything else for a while. We ordered escargots steak frites and poussin with a bottle of wine and it was all memorable. Our server said the french finish their meals with cheese and we felt like we were in paris so we went with it. Perfect. A great restaurant with a great menu and great staff equals a rare well worth it dining experience in NYC.

Service was outstanding. From the host to every single staff member. Food was very good too for the price range. Only thing I would fault them on was presentation and the plates used - but that is a very tiny thing.

I was at Le Privé for their Saturday brunch with a party of 9 people. Every part of the process, from booking to welcoming to the service was completely easy and wonderful. My friends really enjoyed themselves. The food was wonderful and I have to say the prices for brunch in the city are a VERY VERY good value. I will absolutely return.

Le Prive was solid. The menu (during this odd time) is rather limited, but the outdoor seating provided more than enough room to feel safe (although we were right against traffic). That said, the food was overall good, not great, but the service was excellent and the house provided a nice glass of Port wine as gratitude, so overall a positive experience.

Great staff, great food and was so nice and quiet in the back garden area. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

Amazing dinner, the ambiance was comfortable, felt safe eating here (obviously bc of COVID), and everything was clean!! The menu was recently updated and everything looks incredible! All the dishes that we ordered were beautifully presented! Can't wait to come back to try it all! The wines are delicious as well!
