   We had a wonderful experience for dinner. The escargot, the potatoes, dauphinois , and crème brûlée were incredible. Our server was Mina. She was professional and personable and took very good care of us. I recommend eating here, but I would sit at a regular table or the bar for a meal instead of the high top table. It was too tall for me. If I find myself with a wonderful fortune to dine again in Montreal, I would eat here again, but I would request a window table when making my reservation

   Tables too close together. Service was very impersonal. Felt like we were part of an assembly line. Food was good. French onion soup was great.

We are disappointed that something went wrong and that you didn't get proper attention. We will share your review with our team. Something must've happened the day you visited to distract your server. As for the tables being too close, yes, there are some areas of the dining room closer than others. For the most part, our dining room is spacious. If you wish a more private table, please don't hesitate to let us know.    if pressed to say what was my favourite restaurant in Montreal, i would say it is the Pois Penché. from the moment you walk into this elegant dining room (one of the prettiest in MTL), you are in competent hands. need a recommendation for the wine? at your service. a special order? no problem! everything goes smoothly for the duration of your stay. the bouillabaisse was delicious and full of fish an d shellfish, the confit de canard was generous and crispy. the price is somewhat above an ordinary restaurant, but it is easy to find more expensive restaurants in Montreal that don't have the finesse of this delightful spot. they serve a lovely brunch, too! don't forget to call for a reservation.

   The food is generally above par. Service is attentioned and timely. Of noted appreciation is their onion soup and particularly their lamb dish, tender and succulent. Overall this restaurant continues to remain a great asset in the downtown area.

    We were grateful for the grace period as our arrival from the airport was slightly delayed by traffic from the Habs game! There was great energy & buzz all over the city. We were greeted early and seated near the kitchen at a cozy table. Our server provided good service and suggestions when we asked for suggestions. Dinner was a delicious array of foods from Onion Soup the way it was meant to taste, a gourmet burger, flank steak in wine sauce & a lamb steak and Potatoes Dauphinois cooked to a perfect medium, served either herbed butter w as he’d done with a lovely French burgundy. Merci Beaucoup for making our first meal in Montreal a great one.
