I had a wonderful experience at Le Petit Marcel! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Everything—from the presentation to the flavors—was spot on. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Went last Sunday with my kids for a birthday brunch, and again last night with a friend — both visits were thoroughly enjoyable and left me impressed. For brunch, we were seated outside and loved soaking up the sunshine. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed weekend meal. We ordered the croissant sandwich with soup of the day, a grilled cheese sandwich, a fresh, crisp salad with a flavorful dressing, and a pastry basket. The soup was a hit — even my 8-month-old granddaughter couldn’t get enough of it. The croissants were perfectly flaky, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Dinner was equally wonderful. This time, we were seated inside the dining room, and what really gets me every time is the European ambiance. The open kitchen, elegant wallpaper, chandeliers, and classic tables transport you straight to France. It looks, feels, and even smells so authentically French. I was hoping to catch the piano player at the bar, but maybe next time. We started with mussels and scallop crudo. The mussels came in a creamy, aromatic tarragon sauce — so good we asked for a second basket of bread to savor every last drop. The scallop crudo was delicate and intriguing, a lovely contrast to the rich mussels. For our entrées, we had the Lobster Pasta with Caviar and Salmon Wellington. The lobster pasta was on the smaller side portion-wise, but the decadent flavors easily made up for it. The Salmon Wellington was absolutely perfect — flaky pastry, tender fish, and beautifully balanced flavors. Dessert was another highlight. My friend adored her profiterole generously topped with rich, warm chocolate sauce, while I floated away with the Meringue Cloud — light, sweet, and utterly dreamy. This place is quickly becoming our go-to spot this season. It’s a charming and thoughtful addition to the neighborhood, and I can’t recommend it enough. Looking forward to returning — and hopefully hearing that piano next time. Highly recommended!

The wait-staff (although nice and polite) were missing in action. Maybe the restaurant was short-handed on the evening of our visit, but it's unacceptable (for example) for guests to order pre-dinner drinks and then wait 15-20 minutes for them to arrive at the table.

An absolutely wonderful experience, from start to finish! The service from every staff member we encountered was wonderful, and the food was fantastic! This was our first time visiting (our daughter chose for her birthday dinner), and we will certainly be back, no question!

We are new to the neighborhood and are slowly discovering places to eat. This lovely restaurant on the corner of Oakdale and Broadway ticked almost all our boxes - it was walkable, had a lot of seating options, a nice cocktail list. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, our food & drinks arrived at agreeable intervals (not so fast we felt rushed, not so slow, we were sighing). The only fault is one that plagues many American restaurants - it's noisy. May I suggest mats under the tablecloths to soften the noise levels? At least in the larger dining room?

We have been there many times with all great experiences. However last night they were short on wait staff resulting in terribly long waits for our drinks and placing our order. This occurred on our last visit as well. This will not deter us from going back as the food is exceptional,
