   Our brunch entrees were delicious. The French toast was amazing. And the French 75 was the best I have ever had. Jacob was attentive and made our ding experience wonderful. And the musician played us a delightful rendition of clair du loon.

   I love this new little gem in Lakeview. Its like escaping to Paris for the evening with our the jet lag. I will for sure be back!

   Was there Tuesday on a couples date night and had a superb night trying out this new gem. After this corner sat empty for years, it has resurfaced as a new French restaurant with an old feel flare. The staff was welcoming, warm and attentive even on a full night with every table taken. The drinks were delightful. The food was full of flavor and never felt rushed. Even the bathroom was on point. Really felt like I was in Paris. Highly recommend.

   A warm welcome to Le Petite Marcel to the neighborhood! We finally made it in for date night after walking by almost daily. We had been eager to try Le Petite Marcel since they opened and our experience this evening exceeded expectations in many ways with a couple missteps along the way. In short, the restaurant is intimate with a cozy interior, classy bar, and stellar cuisine. We started with cocktails, dove into the French Onion Soup with Bread for appetizers, the Steak Frites and Chef Pasta with a side of the Gratin potatoes for entrees, and finished of course with Crème Brûlée. We LOVED everything we had. No Notes. An element of our experience we felt did not live up to the others was service. The pacing overall felt a bit jerky and beyond initial greet/ordering service did not feel present to anticipate or help with any needs. Sidenote: a huge shoutout to management who was on the floor aiding in service! Their presence was warm and even helped grab our second round of drinks before entrees hit. All this said, I can confidently say that as Le Petite Marcel continues to stretch through its initial growing pains it will quickly embed itself as a staple in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview area as well as the greater Chicago Hospitality scene. Easy to say that I will recommend this place to any friends/family. We will definitely be back for more delicious food and drink (and perhaps even for a little happy hour)!

   We were seated promptly, and given notice of the 90 minute rule. Dinner was good, especially the chicken. The cauliflower appetizer was really good too. My salad was dressed in an almost nonexistent vinaigrette. As got further into it there was a lot of salt. The greens were fresh though. The grilled pineapple dessert was delicious.

   Decent food. Fantastic cocktails. Horrid service. They sat us 35min after our res time and it took almost an hour for entrees to come out. Management was apologetic and comped some drinks off our table. Their host stand was slipping people in line for whoever stood closest to them. Very frustrating experience redeemed a bit by a reasonably priced meal

    I have been to Petite Marcel many times because it is a comfortable, elegant restaurant with excellent food. This time we had the delicious Steak Tartare, one of the best in the city, followed by the special fish dish, Sea Bass. The sea bass was superb, not overcooked with a flavorful sauce and green beans and the most scrumptous mashed potatoes. I tasted the other dishes at the table including the special pasta with mushroom cream sauce, also delicious and the steak frites, a classic. The steak was great, the frites very good though I prefer thinner and crisper ones. The space is so well done, it looks like a place in Paris. The vibe is classy and friendly with a pianist in the front room and nice bar. This place is such a great addition to the neighborhood.
