Le Parisien is the go-to neighborhood bistrot for Murray Hill, offering classic French food like steak frites, escargots and moules marinieres, paired with a well-edited list of french wines.
Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere.

Also open daily for lunch and brunch on weekends.

I love this place so much. Best place in Murray Hill hands down. I’m French and this place is so authentic!

This restaurant is a NYC gem.! It has very authentic French food, and it does not break the bank. The prices are very reasonable for NYC, the food was absolutely delicious (particularly how the dishes has wonderful, fresh herbs) and the decor is so pretty. I recommend a reservation since the place is small. I hope to go back to NY soon and visit Le Parisien again.

Food was excellent an very authentic. We shared the artichoke appetizer and it was simple but superb. The fish dish was also excellent with tasty sides. Crème Caramel was the best I have ever had, very smooth and yummy. The wine was good, service was efficient and not pretentious which I like. No pressure to leave, we lingered.
The only possible negative is that the noise level was high at certain points of the evening, this is a typical small bistro with simple furnishings and close tables. It did not bother me but if someone is noise sensitive or hearing challenged, I would pick my dining time carefully.

We live nearby, and no matter what is the occasion, we always enjoy our dinner at this restaurant. The menu has a good selection of French and Mediterranean dishes.

We went for the Mussels a la Marinieres (garlic and white wine) which we really love. We think this is a truly delicious dish.

We love this restaurant.

Had the waiter been less surly, our experience would have been perfection. He reminded me of the throwback imagery of a typical French waiter who didn't care about what his patrons needed or wanted. But, it's 2018 and he was clearly American. Hmmm.

The food was fantastic. The mussels were some of the best we ever had; skate was cooked to perfection; and the filet carpaccio was topped with deliciously dressed greens and Asiago cheese (we would have preferred Parmesan). The Sancerre and Sauvignon Blanc glasses of wine were a nice match with our food.

Overall, this was a mighty nice neighborhood gem to discover.

Le Parisien is one of the few real bistros that remain in Midtown after the most recent surge of real estate prices and development. Charcuterie, Classic French onion soup, steak frite, and creme brulee, along with a decent, well priced wine list and froendly, efficient service more than make up for its small, crowded/intimate? confines.

The food was exceptionally good. The Trout was great but the Lamb shank was out of this world. A great little French place, tight tables and all, just like you’d expect.

Cozy bistrot with French entrees that have never disappointed this Franco-American. The pork filet cooked to perfection, tender, w a delicate lemon caper thymed sauce, served over spinach. My partner hAd the trout w lentils and greens, again very good. I was less pleased with the dessert, tarte tatin, as the apples seemed overcooked and not very flavorful. Maybe a result of being a fruit out of season?

OMG! Very authentic local gem with staff who are engaging and personable. Food was perfectly prepared and very fresh. Pork scallopini was tender, flavorful and generous. Duck confit was crispy, moist, and flavorful. Salads highly recommended as the endive and the spinach salads were fantastic. Nice wine selection at reasonable prices. Okay... got to save room for dessert. Apple tart fresh and tart, profiteroles amazing. We come to Manhattan five-six times a year and this will be on our must dine list. Hope next winter they have Cassoulet. 🤗

We had fabulous French food in this great little restaurant. Delicious lamb shanks and pork. Probably best crime brûlée we’ve ever had. Small but good wine list. Very well priced. Highly recommended.

Intimate neighborhood restaurant that's all about the food! With seating for no more than 35 diners, you will never lack for dedicated service in this gem of an eatery. Not a big menu selection but they offer all you would want from a French dining experience. Affordable wine list and don't pass on the desserts!

Le Parisienne is a small hole-in-the-wall neighborhood restaurant that might have the best steak frites in NYC. It’s in the classic Paris bistro mold: good food and service, no nonsense ambience, and great value. And New Yorkers have realized that. I’ve never known it to be empty. A place to take your foodie friends who really understand good food and don’t confuse ambience with quality.

Authentic French food and ambiance, which is hard to find in NYC these days. Just a few tables so it's advisable to reserve in advance. But even if there's a line, it's well worth the wait.

Even though we called ahead to advise that we would be about 5 minutes late (which we were) for our reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table since one was not ready. The food is good and reliable, but it would be nice if they could vary the menu choices from time to time .

The space has a slightly scuzzy charm, but a cleaner, expanded space would be welcome, that is, as long as they remain close to the current location

Cute place with attentive friendly service. My wife and I had two different duck dishes and both were excellent. Very reasonable wine list with of bottles in the $40-60 range - short list overall but all good.

Shared a good mussel dish as an apitizer with wonderful pommes frites - just a reminder who originated fries and still holds the crown. Protifiles with chocolate sauce for dessert - basic but perfect.

One thing I loved is even though the place was fully booked we never felt rushed, there was room to breathe between courses.

Very tight seating means we couldn't help but hear a bit of the couple next to us fighting from the jump, but otherwise a great night.

Reservations highly recommended.

We like this place. It’s a cross between a rough around the edges NYC neighborhood café and a backstreet Parisian bistro. The menu is by-the-book bistro, no imaginative leaps here, but everything is beautifully made. If you’re craving bistro and you can’t make it to Paris, you found your place.

Did my research and settled on Le Parisien because I wanted a cozy, authentic French bistro. We were not disappointed. The food from start to finish was delicious. The place is very small, and one must be mindful not to linger too long, as they have different seating times each night. I believe the owners were there, working hard to keep all patrons served well and in a timely fashion. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will return when next in NYC.

I came here for a birthday dinner (third time now) and was not disappointed. The mussels are fresh and delicious. The special was divine. They have a good wine list and the servers are so attentive and friendly!
This time we had dessert and I would literally come here JUST for the profiteroles. It was the perfect finish to this dinner.
