Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere.
Also open daily for lunch and brunch on weekends.
always enjoy this really good neighborhood resgtaurant
The atmosphere is cozy and fun. I came to this restaurant two weeks in a row so I could show it to more of my friends!
French bistro ambience it s been around a long time it feels like a Parisian bistro. Service is always super friendly. Food is on point. My go to place
This was my second time to Le Parisiene. I ordered the Thai mussels which is very hard to screw up and what most French bistros do well. The waitress even recommended them. They were dry and tasteless. Bread was stale. The whole meal was so disappointing but even more so bc the service wasn't good either. Waitress never came by, never asked how food was. If I had the chance to ask for more broth I would have. The whole dinner turned me off. I won't ever go back. Too many great places to eat in NYC to have such a sub par meal. Many other French Bistros in NYC that are better.
Always a wonderful place to eat and feel a little connected to France.
New York favorite! Great food and ambiance! I always have the soup as a starter which is seasonal and so good! Wine list is perfect and overall prices are reasonable!
We come to NYC at least yearly and always eat here at least once. The food is delightful healthy and delicious. Service is great also.
Having spent a year in Paris, this place feels a bit like "home." Lovely little room, great food, Parisian-style service. We'll be back!
A great neighborhood choice, especially if you'd rather be in Paris. Smallish in size, but big on happy feeling. Had the tuna special which was just great. This is not "fancy food," but it is visually excellent in presentation. Tastes are what you would expect without the exotica that nobody really, deep down, likes. A special quality is that the owner(s)/bosses/staff do not rush you. You are a guest.
Excellent value. Great staff. Convenient to Kips Bay 15 cenema.
Food, service and ambiance were excellent.
Very authentic and charming
You really would think your in a French bistro
Merci beaucoup pour cette soirée incroyable!
Seeking a quick getaway to Paris, forgo the expense of airfare and instead head East to a wonderful meal at Le Parisien and you'll feel you're seating in one of those cozy and intimate restaurants along the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. It is a small restaurant with that French charm and wonderful delicious food at an extremely reasonable price. The service is on point and everyone feels welcomed. Not too crowded on a late Tuesday night and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute there. Without a doubt, we will be back!
Excellent service and WONDERFUL food! I will definitely be going back!
The food and service are always excellent as well as the ambiance. Hidden jem
Great little neighborhood place. Food was very good, friendly service too. Intimate setting, very relaxing. Will go again.
The food was spectacular and delicious. The service is great. It is a small place but this seems to be the trade for the high Quality of food...will definitely go back.
food is good. the place was packed. the hostes is somewhat curt with the french whiff of arrogance
QUAINT INTIMATE RESTAURANT
LIKE BEING IN PARIS
SERVICE WAS GOOD
RESTAURANT IS SMALL
Overall, a very good meal- but not great. The onion soup was outstanding. Entrees were fine, just not great. It is a very small space, so if you happen to have one or two loud people in the resteraunt, it can be annoying.
This place was really good. We made a reservation and didn't have to wait long. The food was excellent, service was good, and the food came out quickly. This place is really small. We went for a date night.
Wonderful, welcoming atmosphere and fantastic food at reasonable prices.
We were lucky to get a spot for Valentine's Day in this cute intimate bistro. The menu was more limited than usual and it was a fixed price ($59). Mostly the food was good as usual. The beef bourguingnon was tasty, but the cut was more like pot roast. The trout was also good, but a smaller portion that I expected. Usually trout is served as a whole fish and not just one filet. Still overall a good experience and we'd definitely go back, just maybe not on a special holiday.
A lovely neighborhood find. I wouldn't recommend it as a first date spot, given the close quarters and the fact that it's more of a restaurant than a wine bar. Still, the food and wine selection were both wonderful.
The perfect French Bistro. Food is always excellent as is the wine list. Always a great experience.
typisch frans restaurant, klein, kleine tafels, lekkere wijn, sfeervol. Vooral het eten was echt subliem; ik heb de kalfslever gegeten en was werkelijk zalig. En natuurlijk een goede fles franse wijn erbij; elders in NYC moeilijk te vinden
A wonderful French bistro. Duck confit & steak frites- perfect classics, well prepared & reasonably priced. Ile flottante, a rare dessert on NYC menus, is one of the best. A bottle of Malbec complimented our dishes. The service & ambiance always remind me a pleasant days spent in Paris.
Charming and sustaining, a little piece of Paris in Manhattan. Went solo, pre-concert, had a lovely time. Salmon prepared to perfection and well-married with parsnip purée (if I correctly recall!)
Quality food. Good value. Cordial and efficient
Much too noisy, which will keep us from coming again, sorry.
Very cozy neighborhood bistro. Try the homemade pasta, simply delicious!
Great food, authentic French bistro menu, cooked to perfection with quality ingredients.
Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff
Food wine selection by glass, pichet or bottle
Definitely one to visit again and again
Very good service and food was noteworthy. Would absolutely go back.
I have dined at Le Parisienne for years, even when it was Cosette. The food is simple but delicious and the French fries are terrific. Attentive service, too! This is a favorite gem.
This was, perhaps, our 5th or 6th visit. Always a very good meal, great service, and very French. The Tuna is exceptional, the Duck was extremely good. You really can’t go wrong.
The venue is tight, feels French, moderately noisy but you can certainly hear yourself think.
We will be back.
It was great.
This is one of the places that you keep comming back. Everything is very well done, as a matter of fact, done to perfection.
If you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you.
Wanted to dine at a spot nearby the movie and saw the review on this little bistro that made me hunger for a nice French wine and maybe a good onion soup. Got way more than I bargained for. Actually never had pan seared skate - and I loved it! The escargot was divine and only wished there were more of those like critters in my order..😩. Tiny space but it was fine. I’ll be back ..
Authentic bistro ambiance and menu. Very close seating, but manageable.
