Even though we called ahead to advise that we would be about 5 minutes late (which we were) for our reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table since one was not ready. The food is good and reliable, but it would be nice if they could vary the menu choices from time to time .
The space has a slightly scuzzy charm, but a cleaner, expanded space would be welcome, that is, as long as they remain close to the current location
QUALITY OF THE FOOD AND WINE WAS NOT AS GOOD IN THE PAST, NOT SURE WHY I HAVE BEEN DINNING THERE FOR MANY YEARS.
As always - Le Parisien delivers. It's French cooking at its best, simple and delicious with an amazingly friendly staff.
Great food and outstanding service. I would highly recommend the Duck Confit and the Steak Frites. Anna, the hostess was so warm and welcoming!
Cute place with attentive friendly service. My wife and I had two different duck dishes and both were excellent. Very reasonable wine list with of bottles in the $40-60 range - short list overall but all good.
Shared a good mussel dish as an apitizer with wonderful pommes frites - just a reminder who originated fries and still holds the crown. Protifiles with chocolate sauce for dessert - basic but perfect.
One thing I loved is even though the place was fully booked we never felt rushed, there was room to breathe between courses.
Very tight seating means we couldn't help but hear a bit of the couple next to us fighting from the jump, but otherwise a great night.
Reservations highly recommended.
This place is a gem. Great food, reasonably priced, excellent service. A little crowded and noisy, but so what. Its the food that counts. Its like being in Paris
Hole in the wall kind of place. Loved the food. 👍
This is a neighborhood gem!
A little bit of Paris in NYC. A charming French bistro. Wonderful food. A solid wine selection. Terrific deserts.
It was our first visit and it won't be our last! The food was great and the service even better.
We like this place. It’s a cross between a rough around the edges NYC neighborhood café and a backstreet Parisian bistro. The menu is by-the-book bistro, no imaginative leaps here, but everything is beautifully made. If you’re craving bistro and you can’t make it to Paris, you found your place.
Did my research and settled on Le Parisien because I wanted a cozy, authentic French bistro. We were not disappointed. The food from start to finish was delicious. The place is very small, and one must be mindful not to linger too long, as they have different seating times each night. I believe the owners were there, working hard to keep all patrons served well and in a timely fashion. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will return when next in NYC.
I came here for a birthday dinner (third time now) and was not disappointed. The mussels are fresh and delicious. The special was divine. They have a good wine list and the servers are so attentive and friendly!
This time we had dessert and I would literally come here JUST for the profiteroles. It was the perfect finish to this dinner.
I found Le Parisien a few years ago when looking for Chicken. I have since tried to come back each time I am in NYC. Food is consistent, service professional, attentive but not hovering. So reminds me of dinner in any French city.
A cute French niche for an affordable brunch.
Friendly service and food arrived promptly.
Great food. A little bit loud to my taste, and a little bit too close to other tables. But it’s a French restaurant. No complaints.
Restaurant is always a safe bet for very good food !!
Great little French place. Always have great food there. It can get a bit cramped but that’s part of the NYC experience. Still one of my favorite places to come when I visit.
Le Parisien is a gem in Kips Bay! Always delicious and feels like a true Parisian bistro. Great hole-in the wall!
Very pleased with our dinner here. Place is tiny and we were fortunate to be seated at the window. The food here is first rate and authentic. Wine list small but perfectly matched to menu. Will definitely go back next time in town.
