We ate outside. There was some noise from a place next door, and the block is hardly picturesque, but it didn’t matter. The food and service were lovey.
Perfect Paris bistro
Our go to place when we’re in New York, always enjoyable !
I can’t say enough good things about Le Parisien. It’s absolutely fabulous.
We chose to eat inside and it was nice and quiet. The staff were very attentive and professional as well as welcoming. Our dinners were very flavorful and prepared perfectly. We enjoyed Le Parisien very much.
We are outside for brunch. We had a lovely time and a great experience. The food was delicious. I had the French toast and my friend had the egg scramble. We also shared the craft of Bellini.
After being in lockdown for so many months, my husband and I were dying to split a bottle of Sancerre and feast on escargot and mussels Meunier. I googled French bistros in NYC and this one popped up at the top of the list rating-wise. It is a cute little hole in the wall but does have ample outdoor seating. The food was EXCELLENT, except for the chocolate mousse (my husband said it was a bit dense instead of light and airy as expected). The owner or manager immediately took it off the bill. The creme brulee was EXACTLY what one would expect. Creamy interior with a nice crunchy almost burnt sugar topping. The escargots were tender and super-garlicky and the mussels perfect. I would highly recommend this spot. Also, there is a parking garage across the street that charges $10 regardless of how long you stay. This rate is for Saturday and Sunday nights only!
This was my wife’s and my third time coming. As always the food is fantastic. Service was slower than usual, but it looks like they were short staffed. Regardless, the food was outstanding and we’ll certainly be back the next time we’re in NYC.
Really cute place with a relaxed ambience. The staff was friendly and the brunch was delicious!
Food was excellent!!
Lovely as always. You can absolutely count on the quality of the food & service—love that! A wonderful neighborhood gem. Outdoor spot is perfect.
Le Parisien has been one of my favorite French restaurants for many years and this visit like all others was very memorable. Hands down the best duck confit.
One of the best French restaurants in NYC. Highly recommend!
Nice neighborhood French spot---the bistrot steak with frites and dressed salad was delicious. It would have been nice to have a hunk of baguette to mop up the sauce, though. The wine was a good pour. I saw a lot of people getting the $18 brunch, which looked like a great deal.
The outdoor dining setup is simple but nice.
Service was friendly, but a little slow, which is understandable in light of current labor shortages.
We felt right at home, and the food was very french and tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our food.
Lovely staff and excellent bistro fare as always.
We had the steak frites and it was excellent, just like a Parisian bistro! The Sancerre wine is also great
While it is not overpriced (by Manhattan standards), we like to go there on special occasions. The food is always wonderful.
This restaurant is consistently good and the service is wonderful.
As always, this place never disappoints. The food is always 10/10 and the service is fabulous. I’d always recommend the endive salad & steak frites.
Started with frisee salad. Then skate with potatoes and string beans—always my favorite. White wine made it heavenly. Floating island ended the perfect outdoor meal. We ate early, 6 p.m., before the crowd arrived. Service was personal and friendly French.
dined outdoors and weather perfect. staff friendly and professional. food was excellent along with a suggested Gigondas. very reasonable for nyc. second visit. highly recommend
The food and the service are excellent! A neighborhood gem. Our 2nd time.
Good and fast service, friendly staff. The trout was very good, loved the wine and overall, was just a very nice experience. This was my first time and I really enjoyed it. Will certainly go back!
This is our go to neighborhood restaurant. Great food and service. What more could someone ask for.
Always fresh, fantastic and delicious. This is my good to treat when I am monthly in the city. A true gem of a restaurant. I always have the same dinner The Steak Frits….my monthly reward dinner! Always on spot, I don’t eat red meat very often and I never EVER have fries! Until I found this gem, now once a month I treat myself ,I am never disappointed, although after 3-4 months I don’t gobble the fries down like a crazy lady cos I know I will be back in a few weeks. Highly recommend! Very much a neighborhood restaurant, great vibe. Never rushed.
By the way The onion soup is too die for!
Delicious food. Excellent wine, great service.
Entree: pork loin, duck confit: excellent.
Desserts: tarte tatin, peach Melba: not quite as great.
Service, ambiance: magnificent, a lovely intimate dining experience.
It was hot outside with no breeze under the covered area which made it uncomfortable. Service was efficient but not very caring. The folding chairs were uncomfortable for my back. Food and wine were fabulous as usual.
Love the neighborhood feel of this Paris style bistro. Paris in New York when you need a bit of comfort French dishes!
Wonderful authentic French Bistro food. A quick trip to Paris!
We shared escargot, perfectly garlicky, sopping up remaining sauce with baquette slices. Endive salad with pears, candied walnut the other—Bistrot steak frites was flavorful & satisfying. Floating Island dessert is a rare gem.
Best Bistro in the city period. I have been to supposedly the top bistros in the city. The taste seasoning in the food and finesse cannot be matched.
Pretty close to a neighborhood bistro in Paris! Atmosphere, food and general nonchalance.
True French cuisine in a cozy, friendly neighborhood setting.
Great neighborhood gem with authentic bistro feel. Definitely have the duck confit - it is scrumptious!
Ate in street table area. Beautiful evening. Food and service great despite not in the restaurant proper.
The food is OK. After dinner the waitress run into us in the sidewalk asking why we gave less than 18% tip. This is the first time I see someone begging for tip. When I come back I promisse to tip 30%, but for today, for this rude behavior and harassment I gave 2 stars rating (the restaurant is old and needs repair).
I have been to this restaurant many times in the past. The food this time seemed somewhat bland compared to previous meals. Moreover, bread on the side was not provided with the meal. I ordered the grilled salmon, which was fresh and good but it along with the couscous that accompanied it could have had more flavor seasonings. The apple tatin and creme brulee were not as I remember from the past, although certainly edible. I hope these changes are somehow due to pandemic, and that the previous level of really tasty meals will be restored. Sitting outside was very pleasant for most of the dining time, until just before leaving a homeless man wandered into the shed-like enclosure to panhandle--I immediately put on my face masks for protection. I think the restaurant staff should be on the look out for this kind of situation, which given the pandemic was disturbing.
Very authentic, yet creative, French bistro food. All dishes were outstanding. Even better than in the past. The best part is that the value is high. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food. The ambiance is Parisian, relaxed, and stylish.
