Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere.

Bistro menu as expected. Cod and risotto entre was well-prepared and seasoned. Roasted artichoke salad delicious. Servers while rushed (like everywhere these days) were attentive, pleasant, and aimed to please. Outside seating at table for 4 was crowded and rickety, but outdoor dining on a warm fall night was delightful. Would definitely dine there again.
Good service. Good food. Good brunch deals. Location is ok and owners and servers are good hosts.
GREAT OMELLETTES AND ICED COFFEE
Lovely evening as the server was patient and kind. Great bottle of wine and wonderful Duck special. We enjoyed the country pate and French onion soup. I would definitely check them out.
Absolutely fantastic ambiance, service and food!
My beat friend and I shared a great bottle of wine and delicious entrees of chicken paillard and striped bass.
Could not have asked for a better evening!
Good food and service. The only real problem is the chairs used for the seating was not the most comfortable.
Loved it. The owner is charming, and the food- has steak frites and pate - was great. And what a great Margeau.
A little slice of Paris in Murray Hill! The food is always delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Strongly recommend!
We love Le Parisien. The outdoor tables had a view of the Empire State Building, which is of course great. The menu is French, perfectly so, and everything was delicious. The dressing on the spinach salad was maybe a little bit sweet, but everything else was delicious. I had the trout with a sauce so delicious that I didn't even object to the tarragon that ambushed me. My family each had the tuna special and really enjoyed it. (Not a food-sharer, so didn't taste it. But they were happy.) Desserts were French too and we loved the tarte tatin and creme brulee. They do not have a full bar, but had a few wine-based cocktails and a French wine list. Last night was such a fine dinner that I'm taking a friend there later in the week.
Encore! Had dinner there last night!
So incroyable good that I returned this evening.
Save the airfare on a trip to Paris. At Le Parisien, you're there.
it would be nice to have it decorated a bit more outside. otherwise it was fantastic.
Fabulous from start to finish. Duck confit best I have ever had.
We sat outside. The weather wonderful. As usual food and wine the best. Chairs outdoors not that comfortable but LE Parisian worth the discomfort!
We ate outside. There was some noise from a place next door, and the block is hardly picturesque, but it didn’t matter. The food and service were lovey.
Perfect Paris bistro
Our go to place when we’re in New York, always enjoyable !
I can’t say enough good things about Le Parisien. It’s absolutely fabulous.
We chose to eat inside and it was nice and quiet. The staff were very attentive and professional as well as welcoming. Our dinners were very flavorful and prepared perfectly. We enjoyed Le Parisien very much.
We are outside for brunch. We had a lovely time and a great experience. The food was delicious. I had the French toast and my friend had the egg scramble. We also shared the craft of Bellini.
After being in lockdown for so many months, my husband and I were dying to split a bottle of Sancerre and feast on escargot and mussels Meunier. I googled French bistros in NYC and this one popped up at the top of the list rating-wise. It is a cute little hole in the wall but does have ample outdoor seating. The food was EXCELLENT, except for the chocolate mousse (my husband said it was a bit dense instead of light and airy as expected). The owner or manager immediately took it off the bill. The creme brulee was EXACTLY what one would expect. Creamy interior with a nice crunchy almost burnt sugar topping. The escargots were tender and super-garlicky and the mussels perfect. I would highly recommend this spot. Also, there is a parking garage across the street that charges $10 regardless of how long you stay. This rate is for Saturday and Sunday nights only!
This was my wife’s and my third time coming. As always the food is fantastic. Service was slower than usual, but it looks like they were short staffed. Regardless, the food was outstanding and we’ll certainly be back the next time we’re in NYC.
Really cute place with a relaxed ambience. The staff was friendly and the brunch was delicious!
Food was excellent!!
Lovely as always. You can absolutely count on the quality of the food & service—love that! A wonderful neighborhood gem. Outdoor spot is perfect.
J’adore! Whenever I need a sure-fire steak frites: Le Parisien!
Le Parisien has been one of my favorite French restaurants for many years and this visit like all others was very memorable. Hands down the best duck confit.
One of the best French restaurants in NYC. Highly recommend!
Nice neighborhood French spot---the bistrot steak with frites and dressed salad was delicious. It would have been nice to have a hunk of baguette to mop up the sauce, though. The wine was a good pour. I saw a lot of people getting the $18 brunch, which looked like a great deal.
The outdoor dining setup is simple but nice.
Service was friendly, but a little slow, which is understandable in light of current labor shortages.
We felt right at home, and the food was very french and tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our food.
Lovely staff and excellent bistro fare as always.
We had the steak frites and it was excellent, just like a Parisian bistro! The Sancerre wine is also great
While it is not overpriced (by Manhattan standards), we like to go there on special occasions. The food is always wonderful.
This restaurant is consistently good and the service is wonderful.
As always, this place never disappoints. The food is always 10/10 and the service is fabulous. I’d always recommend the endive salad & steak frites.
Started with frisee salad. Then skate with potatoes and string beans—always my favorite. White wine made it heavenly. Floating island ended the perfect outdoor meal. We ate early, 6 p.m., before the crowd arrived. Service was personal and friendly French.
dined outdoors and weather perfect. staff friendly and professional. food was excellent along with a suggested Gigondas. very reasonable for nyc. second visit. highly recommend
The food and the service are excellent! A neighborhood gem. Our 2nd time.
