Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere.
Also open daily for lunch and brunch on weekends.
Great value and great real food in an area of town not known for great food. They have awesome coffee too
MY favorite french bistro in the area, I have gone countless times for brunch and a few times for dinner and it never disappoints.
cozy and authentic french. will be back
Another delicious lunch, had the ginger and carrot soup and beet salad, finished with a delicious profiterole. Could not have been more perfect!
Been here a few times. The food is amazing and the wine list is well thought through.
A little cramped, but so worth the good meal! Always looking for a great moules frites spot. The specials were delicious, too!
I like this restaurant but ordered the special and became ill in the night...
Food was good. Staff was preoccupied. Very small space. Nice for lunch.
Birthday dinner with my wife. Have eaten here many times but this was the first time we ordered the specials.
Delicious! Really wonderful food. Great service.
Excellent as always!! Never disappointed here.
The food is fantastic. Always.
Food was excellent! Fresh and hot and tasty. Had the special du jour sundried tomato hake, pan seared salmon and roasted artichoke salad. All delicious. Atmosphere was quaint and cozy and oh-so-French. You definitely do not feel like you’re on 33rd st. While the food prices and wine were quite reasonable, I found desserts @$11 each and cappuccino @$6 each to be overpriced. Also, felt slightly rushed as they closed the restaurant promptly at 10:00pm on a Thursday night. Unusual for NYC. All in all though, a lovely experience and will return again.
Très bien accueillis par une serveuse franco belge.
Bonne soirée, bien rigolé, très bonne viande rouge, île flottante raffinée.
Very good food. Friendly atmosphere. Genial staff.
The place is rather intimate but the food & wine selection were all wonderful. We’ll go there again.
Wonderful food. Authentic. Well worth the trip!
Enjoyed it a lot.
Delicious food and great service!
Great food, the vibe is very French and fun. Food is perfectly French. There is no bar, so you just sit with your guests. I would go back. Type of place where you can talk to your neighboring table.
A mini trip to France...small, charming, typically French. This was a nice spot for a low key lunch with a friend. The food was pretty good, but nothing memorable.
Food is always fantastic.
A charming slice of Paris right in the heart of Murray Hill. Each time we come the friendly, unassuming bonhomie engages us. A bistro experience par excellence.
This was my fifth dinner at Le Parisien, and it has never failed to impress. Warm, friendly ambience, great service, and consistently delicious food, all make for a very enjoyable dining experience. Looking forward to my next meal there.
The food, service and atmosphere at Le Parisien are outstanding. Its my second time there My second et je l'adore!
Everything a bistro should be.
It was a very good I will go back as soon as I can
Le Parisien, rive gauche on Manhattan's East side. Food superb. Service lovely, friendly, personal.
I'm having the seared tuna every time as well as the roasted beet salad. Can't get away from it. It's too tasty, perfect. Lovely ambience. Small, cozy, French. A home coming every time.
Had a great time. Staff was exceptional. Food delicious. Will return for sure
Very small cozy spot, delicious food and warm and great service
Two Words. Steak Sandwich!!!
Okay so I need at least 50 characters to submit a review. Here is some filler blah blah blah. The food is great here. Bring your pals for brunch!
Prefix menu price was right for the well prepared food
The owners were running everything and it showed!! We did a Sat brunch with friends, I have been in the business my whole life and have very high standards ( my wife calls me a snob) food was great and felt like we were back in Paris!!! Two thumbs up
Petit bistrot "à la française"très sympa sur le quartier de Murray hill. une trés bonne adresse pour le rapport qualité/prix.
Real bistro experience. No actors here. 100% french. Food is excellent. Staff is very attentive and quick. Le Parisien gives me a good reason to come back to NYC soon. It's also very close from the Royalton Park Avenue where we stayed.
Great service lovely food!
A nice small french bistro in the city that I would have never known without OpenTable.
Waiter was rude, she wouldn’t let us change our side dish and when we asked for mashed potatoes she said they only cook them for dinner.. Our food was ok, when we asked for dessert though, the waiter said they had closed the kitchen so we couldn’t have any, and she never warned us or anything. The restaurant is really small, definitely needs some renovation and has a weird smell. Overall it was a really bad experience, wouldn’t recommend.
Outstanding meal and great service in a very Paris-like atmosphere.
We’ve enjoyed eating at Le Parisienne over the years but our dinner Christmas Eve was even better than before. The pork chops piccata and the cod special were superb. Service and ambience as nice as always.
Excellent and sympathetic atmosphere
