Such a cute restaurant. The owner was charming and the food was delicious! Best escargot I’ve ever had!
The food was very good. I can't say totally incredible but it was summerlicious and I find sometimes that the limitations pricewise mean you don't see the absolute best a kitchen can do. Very good is still good. I just think they can do even better. The salmon tartar was vet fresh tasting literally and figuratively. The salmon was not fishy tasting and the chocolate dessert was yum. The service was excellent and the place is quite adorable. Great place for a date or to catch up with an old friend.
Un restaurant remarquable. C'est la première fois que j'y suis allé et j'ai été séduit. Service impeccable, repas excellent et possibilités pour le client d'avoir un plat composé suivant ses besoins alimentaires.
We enjoyed an excellent meal, and delightful ambience.
I found the restaurant on the Trip advisory and it was everything I expected and more. Sergei (the owner) was fantastic with explanations about wines and all meals that were part of the Tasting Menu. We ordered pairing wine with it and we tried many good ones that evening. My personal favourite was risotto but every single one was great. I had a felling I was in Lyon or Cannes in one of Michellin Star restaurants. I will go back for sure and I see it is part of the Summerlicious Toronto, so visit for sure!
<3 always the best time - thanks again!!!

Enjoyed that the waiter/tress were very well informed and provided their recommendations. Compliments to the chef.
The meal was fantastic. We shared steak tartare, escargots, followed by steak frites and confit de canard. First course was with a glass of Sancerre followed by a bottle of French red wine. All was delicious, we will be back.
Excellent Value in an Intimate Setting
We were a party of 4 and this was our first time dining at Le Notre. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we knew that it would be a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant only seats 20 so it is an intimate dining experience. We all decided to have the 4-course tasting menu. They will prepare it based on your preferences, but we decided to let them choose for us. The 4-course tasting menu without wine pairings is $55 and with wine pairings is $90. They also have a 3-course Prix Fixe Menu for $38. The quality of the food and service were superb. The cuisine is creative and delicious and is served by professional and attentive staff. I had asked if we could reserve a table in a quiet location since we were celebrating a birthday and they had reserved the perfect table for us. Our servers were fantastic also - their attentive service and helpful suggestions made for an enjoyable dining experience. They helped to make this a birthday to remember.
The restaurant is beautiful and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious and the waiter was so nice! I would definitely come back and recommend this place!
Terrific, concise menu and excellent food.
Where to start? One of the best meals that I’ve ever had in Toronto. The tenderloin was magnificent along with the gnocchi that was served along side it. Girlfriend had the steak frites and the steak was cooked to perfection. The service was superb and every detail was covered. This will become in our regular dining lineup.
un restaurant qui nous enchante. Cuisine de grande qualité, service impeccable, avec beaucoup de classe. Ambiance feutrée et conviviale. Une soirée de pur bonheur en famille. Merci Sergei
New favourite Toronto restaurant, hands down. Outstanding service and food.
I discovered this gem when I met the owner Sergeui Kourokhtine at another bar over a drink. After a brief conversation, I made the reservation to dine there the next day for their tasting menu.
It is a very small (22 seats), charming room with space for up to three people right in front of the kitchen. I had the pleasure of chatting with the chef (Cam Nelson) who was very personable and friendly. The food on offer was absolutely excellent - their tasting menu is created on the spot based on your preferences. They offer wine pairings to go with the dishes which I highly recommend.
I have been back there numerous times since my initial solo visit with group of normally very particular friends all of whom raved over the food, service and the overall experience.
Their normal corkage is $30 which is waived on Wednesdays.
Recently the original Chef Cam Nelson has left to pursue other opportunities, but the mantle has been ably picked up by his sous Chef Stephanie. Last night she made a absolutely magnificent Turbot which was delicious and praiseworthy.
Excellent as always. The tasting menu was amazing - a combo of menu must - haves and fun picks.
Le Notre is our favourite secret spot but shhh... don’t tell any one.
Very disappointing. Trying too hard. Atmosphere a bit uptight and owner needs to relax, he made us uncomfortable..
We both had the prix fixe with the wine pairings and were impressed with both the exceptional quality of the food / wine and the service. Everything was impeccable and we will be back. Thank you for a special evening.
Outstanding and excellent French food: will be coming back repeatedly!
Lovely service. Alana was a well informed and attentive server.
A hidden gem - very thoughtful if limited menu. Taste experience is excellent, service is attentive but reserved. Chef could push those taste boundaries a little, the talent is there!
Carefully prepared delicious Parisien based food using local ingredients wherever possible. A small menu but a wide range of choice . Lovely wine selection with more bottles available from the private wine cabinet, bin ends, one off wines from various regions of the world. Would happily return to this lovely small restaurant.
Great food, great service
The restaurant was exceptional in all ways. The service was attentive and caring, the atmosphere comfortable and intimate. The food was simply outstanding.
Sergei was very attentive and professional. Food was very tasty. An excellent dining experience.
Wonderful! We did the tasting menu with wine pairings and enjoyed every bit. Gracious and knowledgeable service. Don’t miss the French onion soup risotto
Excellent personalized service. Lovely presentation and delicious food. Will go back regularly as this place deserves to survive
Lovely atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Fun drink menu. Looking forward to going back to try the tasting menu with wine pairings.
A lovely intimate restaurant with a relaxed style, great service and excellent food. There is no place quite like this in Toronto. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Overall a good experience. the food was good. We ordered Beef tartar, frites...both great. We got the Plat Pour Deux with the lamb sausages which was just good. Next time we would order something else.
Fantastic food --particularly the duck breast. Quite good cocktails and a really good wine recommendation. Engaged waiter, who seemed conversational even though he was clearly running a lot of tables at the time. Only minor hesitation was the price of the escargot appetizer, which seemed a bit excessive for what you got (though they were textbook perfect). Plan to return frequently.
A quieter, intimate spot off Harbord, my wife and I made our second visit and had time to tuck into the Chef's Menu. After a brief conversation, you get a sampling of items catered to your interests, each dish was outstanding. I'd strongly recommend the wine pairings as well, they're well thought-out and elevate each dish.
Serguei, the maître d' is also a star. Attentive, knowledgeable and professional, I'd gladly put any dining experience in his hands. Where many similar restaurants in town veer stuffy and slightly condescending, he keeps things at a tight, comfortable level.
Looking forward to returning already.
Had a great time, great food, would return again. The French onion risotto, steak& frites and both desserts were excellent. Duck was interesting too. Didn’t try the beef tartar but I heard it’s very good.
Our second visit and both times very good food and great service.
Service was a bit pretentious, and the food was so so.
Awesome service and food
Will be bacj
Ambiance was great as was the service. The food quality was great but may not be suited to everyone's tastes.
Even at the WInterliscious pace, the serving staff were very friendly and attentive. A great experience.
