    A neighborhood favorite since we first moved to NYC in 2000. Although the food remains excellent, we (party of two) were disappointed when we went for an early dinner with outdoor sitting. We were placed at a tiny table that would not accommodate more than two plates. Then appetizers and main courses all arrived at once, even though we had asked for them to be delivered separately. We had to insist on a change in tables in order to handle all the plates. Waiting staff seemed distracted. Hard to get their attention. Some errors in the delivery of items that required us to get changes made. All in all, disappointing and not what we had expected based on past experience. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy and there were lots of available tables, so we were puzzled by the questionable attention to us and resulting poor service.

    As always, dinner was delicious and a great value. Food was generous and flavorful and service was attentive. We will be back!

    Tasty and generous portions. The mussels were plump with no hint of sand….huge burgers and a delicious array of desserts too. A real UWS go-to gem. Topping it all off is the warm welcome and great service (thank you, Jason!).

    I do love Le Monde. It’s a great neighborhood spot with a lot of nice options. The flavor of the food never quite matches the ambience of the place though, like at the end of the day you ARE paying for the vibe. Which I’ve accepted.
