This restaurant is way too loud, the food was lousy. Flatbread pizza was thick crust,
It was a great place. Food was amazing, will definitely come back
Love this place. Will definetly be coming back!
The service was horrible. The food was not great. We were left without silverware for a long time. The drinks were good though.
Le Grand looks amazing. Everything about the place is inviting. Beautiful. Ambiance incredible. The food was sub par at best, the salmon and chicken Parm were not good at all. We were served "lemon drops" that contained no alcohol (fortunately the bar ended up providing us with a "real" lemon drop at the end of the night due to our poor food experience which made for up the other one). I would totally return for happy hour drinks, the bar is so beautiful and the drinks were great when they contained alcohol haha.
I really wanted to give this place a 5 but just couldnt The bus boys, Nathan the guitarist, the charcuterrie board were a 5+ The Hanger steak lacked flavor. Was bland and it sat on top of a very sweet butternut squash puree that I had no idea it came with . The waiter would not make any replacements or anything. The side of fries were ok, but lacked flavor as well. The Butternut Squash ravioli was good though. I personally am not a fan of that squash . The ambience is outstanding. Gorgeous inside . I will try their happy hr though. Their flatbreads looked amazing...
Great ambience and music saxophone player belly dancer food was so so but value was great I will definitely come back
The service was amazing . They didn’t miss a beat . Constantly checking on us and removing plates and silverware and refilling our drinks . Very courteous staff. Food was great . Awesome happy hour specials
Food is good. The happy hour menu is a good value and fresh, especially the oysters.
Amazing food, music, drinks and service. The food came fast and was fresh and delicious
Great place to have dinner with friends and family.
Everything was great besides the food. Food was decent. Didn’t like the fact couldn’t change the sides. And it was $5 for a can soda.
It was an enjoyable time, went for our anniversary. Food was delicious the salmon was cooked perfectly with a delicious crisp exterior. The rest of apps and main were just as yummy. If there were things I didn’t much enjoy would be that all our dishes came out in random order and almost all at once meaning it felt rushed especially when the tables are so small and all the food is piled. I did however enjoy the live French music but didn’t care for the techno played in between.
Amazing atmosphere. Great place for dinner! My fiancé and I came in for the weekend stumbled upon this prize!
Great atmosphere. Great food.
My boyfriend and I went out with a few of our friends to have dinner here and we loved the atmosphere and the food, but the service was terrible. While ordering our drinks and appetizers, we decided to order our entrees as well since we were ready. We figured they would come in order as other restaurants present. Our entrees ended up coming before our drinks and appetizers, which ruined our mood needless to say. We felt rushed to eat and we couldn’t even enjoy our drinks and appetizers. I asked our waitress to send our appetizers back since our portions were so big, we wouldn’t be able to eat everything at once. After we ate, we ordered dessert, which ended up taking forever. Our waitress barely checked on us during this time and seemed like she was avoiding our table. When we finally called her over and told her our dessert had been taking forever, she confirmed it had been an HOUR since we ordered it. It finally came out and she didn’t offer any compensation after all that waiting. If you are a patient person, by all means check this place out but if terrible service is offputting to you, you are better of somewhere else!
Unfortunately this restaurant doesn’t have an identity, we excepted a nice Italian restaurant but was bombarded with bongos and a belly dancer, saxophone player (who was amazing) and music playing out of the speakers all at the same time. We couldn’t hear each other most of the evening. I know it’s covid and everyone is under staffed but two out of the meals came out before our wine and appetizers. They didn’t have any of the drinks we originally ordered and the waiters just seemed overwhelmed.
The food was great. Nice atmosphere and live entertainment
Horrible service at this restaurant! The server only came to the table about 2 or 3 times and never checked up on us. We ordered the Sea Bream which was $29 but the wrong fish came out! What came out was the sea bass which was $35. We told the server and he said the kitchen made the wrong fish. Come to find out he was the one that rang in the order wrong. So he lied to us. After he made the mistake he did not come to our table once. The busser cleared our table and we were waiting for over 15 minutes to try to ask someone for the check until the busser came again and asked if everything was okay. We asked to call over the manager. The manager came, we explained the situation and all he had to say was “Sorry we are just trying to keep our reviews up and it’s getting busy.” The check came out and they did not only not comp anything, they charged us for the Sea Bass which we never ordered! The Sea Bass was more expensive too! So we paid for their mistake! Ridiculous! Never coming again. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. No one seemed to care at the restaurant.
The best in downtown Los Angeles!
I think the only weird thing was the homeless man screaming at the hostess, lol. Other than that I loved the atmosphere and food
Was like you took a classic high end restaurant then added some extra loud club music. Also the 17 dollar burger is “wagyu” - super annoying when places lie about that. Also it can only come burnt? Charred on the outside and cooked all the way through.
The food was perfect, ambience is energetic, our waitress Daniela was phenomenal. The owners were very nice and welcoming, will definitely be back.
Le Grand is always a memorable experience. It has a cool European vibe with great music and the food is amazing. The owner always picks the perfect wines for you. It's an experience you want to have.
The food was just okay, server seemed distracted but Foo was delivered promptly and hot.
Would definitely not come back- service was horrible and it was so loud we practically had to scream to communicate
Took us over a hour to get our food. The waitress came around our table 40 minutes after ordering. She asked if we were ready for dessert. We let her know we still hadn’t received our food. She said she would check on it came back 10 minutes later said there was a problem with the machine and the kitchen didn’t receive our order. She offered us a free shooter as a comp. once we got our food, it wasn’t worth the wait. The steak was almost burnt and dry on the outside. Flavorless. The veggies were good. The wings were delicious. The drinks weren’t great specially for the price. The waitress was busy but never did anyone check on us to see if we wanted more water or another drink. When we asked for the check it took about 20 minutes for it to get to us. This was my second time coming to this restaurant. I’m not sure if I would be back. The first time we loved our food. This time everything was lackluster.
I found Le Grand on Instagram and made reservations here with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary! We walked in and the energy was amazing, candle lit tables, and live jazz music. Truly set the vibes for our romantic evening. The oysters were so delicious, and the Le Grand Rigatoni was amazing! Truly an amazing dining experience.
Food’s quality and quantities great! Ambient is romantic and energetic
Food was fantastic as was the service and the ambiance. Parking was really convenient right next to the restaurant. Music was way too loud and I couldn’t hear anyone at the table or the server.
Word of advice, they need to bring down the music volume just a bit. At the end of the day it’s not a club, it’s a restaurant and I would like to not have to yell at others during a conversation.
Other than the host just seating us anywhere… this place is a vibe. Don’t hesitate to make seating request if seated in an undesired location. The bartender is super cool and took our orders. The overall experience was nice and perfect for a date night. Let’s just say, this place is the perfect start to the end of a beautiful night! Food was great, Chilean Sea bass is highly recommended! Wings and Caesar salad is the perfect appetizer for sure, love it. Couldn’t really tell that we were DTLA honestly. The live guitarist walking around playing tunes definitely set the mood and add to the overall atmosphere. Definitely will be going back!
Amazing food, especially for the price! great atmosphere for a fun and vibrant experience. Good drinks. Server was extremely friendly and personable but quite busy, so a little wait between drinks, but the amazing vibe makes up for it. Highly enjoyable weekend experience with live Saxophone player, dancing and drums. If you are looking for a calm restaurant vibe this wouldn’t be your spot (on the weekend) I Will look forward to returning.
Very friendly service! Great food and drinks. Definitely will come back.
OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD PLACE!!
They had hip hop music playing, which I love. BUTTTTT they had a very loud and obnoxious belly dancing thing going on with a guy playing live drums. On the other side there was a guy playing guitar. It was a mess. It took forever for someone to come take our order. I ordered a flatbread and it was as thick as a brick. I don’t know why they call it a flatbread. The MALE WAITERS kept touching every girl that they helped to the point that my fiancé told me why are they keeping touching every girl at each table they go to. The belly dancer drummer would like grab and rub the ladies hands to force them to come dance in the middle of the restaurant. The only good thing about this place were the raviolis that we ordered which were decent, not superrrrrrr good.
Great experience, nice service although the music was a little loud to be able to have a conversation.
Loud heavy bass beat music more like a night club than a restaurant. Food good, not exceptional.
Extremely loud and super crowded. Didn't feel comfortable for dinner with my friends - we couldn't hear each other. Place is better for big company who's expecting impression of entertainment more than from food. BTW - really good cocktails, great bartenders!
Waited an hour after our reservation time to be seated, and almost another to be served all our food
Our drinks took forever and were not that good. My boyfriends chicken parm was slightly burnt. My meal (which was a small piece of salmon with some rice and veggies) was one of the most expensive things on the menu. The restaurant was playing music so loud we could barely hear each other talk, on top of that, you had a sax player and a belly dancer with an accompanying drum player playing at the same time. It was very overwhelming.
Went for wife’s birthday and we loved this place! Awesome staff, great food and drinks and a great vibe. We will definitely be returning!
