Food excellent. Service very good. We ate early, to avoid noise, which increased as the site became busier.
I’ve been having lunch twice and have reservations for lunch next week. The food is incredibly fresh. I love this place!
Very nice, food was good. Service excellent! Would recommend and will return.
Tasty food! They allowed us to switch the potatoes for fruit or veggies. The waiter gave us some great recommendations. Generous portions.
First time visitor. Delightfully surprised at the excellence of the food! Service was relaxed, personable and helpful. The whole experience requires that I revisit here soon.
I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered the mushroom quiche but the presentation was poor, and the taste was mediocre. The side greens had no dressing and was bland. I was looking forward to this experience and wanted to have Le French as my go-to brunch restaurant, but sadly, will need to find another venue.
I was very disappointed. There was no onion soup, escargot or any traditional food. The quail was 8 tiny legs around a brown lumpy mixture which was very unappealing. They added the leaves from 1 Brussels sprout and very tiny pieces of summer squash. The waiter was nice but it took forever to get anything including 1/2 hr for raspberry lemonade. The room was very sterile. All in all, not great. Funny that the lunch menus seemed more appealing than dinner.
We had heard mixed reviews about this new spot and wanted to try it out. Kind of a noisy bistro atmosphere with a rather limited menu. Glass of Rose was delicious- starter of snapper tartare was disappointing and had very little flavor was a little sweet with puffed rice on top - very odd. The charcuterie board was average with an enormous dish of Dijon mustard for a little pate 2 slices of prosciutto and some dried out salami not great - French bread was doled out in tiny amounts and not replenish. My “entree was 3 scallops cooked well and sauced fairly well but I was still hungry. Other people got the braised lamb shoulder which was better but served without much of any sauce so kinda dry. We ordered one cream brûlée for dessert which was the best thing we had - it was large and beautifully presented and had an orange flower undercurrent- really terrific. The rest was disappointing at best-
Food was amazing! We both had Seafood: Scallops and Seabass entrees. Great service. Highly recommend it!
What a delightful new cafe for me and my sisters for our frequent outings. Absolutely loved the Cappuccino and the food. I’ll be back!
The amount of food was skimpy. The husbands finished their short ribs in no time. The salads and desserts were good and not as skimpy.
I love this restaurant for breakfast and lunch but way too expensive at dinner for very very meager (but delicious) main course. Even meager for European standards, as I was just in France!
Tasty and more relaxed than we had expected, this French cafe-style eatery had a variety of plates for both sharing and individual enjoyment. Our table service was average at best, but was likely impacted by our inexperienced server more than the way the front of house was being run. Make sure to ask about the specials as they were very well priced compared to the rest of the menu, and the Wine and Dessert options help to make the experience stand out. We had Mussels and the Short rib Bourguignon, both were great.
Note: The cafe serves a much more casual counter service for breakfast and lunch, but there is a full Dinner menu and a bar, and patio seating outdoors.
Fabulous food but the portions were too diminutive so we had to order more food which kind of got pretty expensive with the amazing wine and all! But great experience and fabulous food! Definitely going back because I loved their gluten-free options!
We had hoped for a nice evening at Le French. Appetizer tasted fishy and greasy. The Caesar salad had no taste at all. Every table around us enjoyed a nice basket of bread. We were not offered. We had to ask twice for drink refills. The duck was incredibly tough. Beef short ribs were not much more than pot roast. We will not be back!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review, and we are very sorry about the unfortunate experience you had while dinning at our restaurant. Could you please, if you don't mind give us a call at 720-710-8963 as we really would like to learn more about your experience and see what we can do to amend that. Thank you
Le French was fantastic … from the intimate ambiance, to the impeccable service, to the delicious quiche, and the outstanding take-home bakery, I can’t wait to return.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. It didn’t feel like a franchise restaurant. Le French is a great addition to Belleview Station.
SuzieE, Thank you very much. We appreciate your feedback and are looking forward to welcoming you more at Le French! Thank you!
The food is delicious and is true to its French origins. The service is quick and excellent. I highly recommend Le French to anyone looking for an excellent overall dining experience!
It missed the mark. No cocktail menu was the first miss. Inflexibility with the menu was unattractive- we were a party of four and one of the appetizers came as three and the waiter told us that couldn’t be changed. The baba was dry and us infusing the rum wasn’t enough. Our waiter Scott was very attentive and a great ambassador of the food.
JenU, Thank you so much for taking the time to write us you review. We are very sorry for your unfortunate experience at our restaurant and will take your feedback in consideration as it is very important for us that our guests have a great dinning experience while visiting our restaurant.
I had lunch on the patio. Steak and peppercorn sauce were excellent. Fries a little limp but ok. Good wine selection. Pleasant surroundings and excellent service.
They still need to work on Service! I feel they need to train the waitresses better! Just not to the French standards as I expect!
Our second visit. Glad we came back and must drop in for afternoon small plates and drinks
Fabulous food, drink and service! Small portions made you savor every bite!
Very limited dinner menu. Husband said seabass was very good.
Restaurant was almost empty. Every table but one had a big window next to it. The hostess sat us at the only table without a window squeezed up against a wall. What was she thinking? We promptly refused the table.
The server was very nice and tried his best to make us happy.
Good food but limited menu
Food was simply prepared and delicious, true to what we had when we were in France. The spinach and mushroom quiche had a wonderful brightness to it, perhaps from some lemon? And the croissants were everything you expect, flaky, buttery, light. Will definitely return. Had to wait for seating in spite of our reservation, and while the hostess and wait staff were very nice, the restaurant could have been more proactive knowing that they had a large group coming in and trying to figure out what to do with accommodating us. Our group ended up being split up, which was ok with us, but as a result, our 3 smaller sub-groups all ended up eating at different times.
Wonderful food and service. It’s a bit difficult to hear at a two top with a full house. Good specials on wine! Will def go back
Positive points: The Bastille Day brunch was very tasty and a great value. And I thought the portion sizes were perfect. The service was excellent—very friendly waiter.
Negative points: For the dessert course, there was barely any chocolate or fruit on the chocolate/fruit crepe, and it wasn’t spread around well. The noise pollution is terrible—maybe something could be done to improve the acoustics in there, cause it’s very hard to hear each other.
Table of 10, but was not busy at all. Service was very slow. All of the Food was overcooked and cold. I told the waiter it was cold and I was offered a free desert! $600 worth of bad food. We will not be going back.
Food was good but not great.
Serving American cheese in a French restaurant is surprising (not in a good way).
Main course was fine.
Desserts were not so good: tarte tatin not warm enough, baba au rhum not really a baba au rhum (Dry cake that does not taste or look like a baba). I guess they did not expect a French guy who can tell the difference to come in...
Yum! The duck and scallops were delicious! Great cocktails to start along with a delicious charcuterie board. We picked up individual quiches for breakfast the next morning that were delicious!
What a delight to have a new French restaurant nearby! The food is good, the wine list has some usual selections, wait staff is pleasant and engaging. Love the little bakery items as well. Great replacement for the Palate in Landmark for an upscale and chic place to have lunch, wine and small plates after work, as well as great dinners. Try it, you might like it, but save a table for me!
Our server was stellar! He was so sweet and charismatic. I would go back because of him. The drinks were delicious but all the food tasted microwaved. It did not taste like at all like flavorful French cuisine.
Nice neiborhood restsurant. Lunch menu was nice. Dessert was fair. Hope to return soon
Such a great experience! I’ve now been there for brunch and dinner and was very impressed both times
The French Onion soup was outstanding. The salads we ordered were just ordinary. I ordered the greens with chicken and my friend ordered the beet salad. I should have ordered a sandwich instead.
A great meal with great service made for a perfect night out with another couple. Our waitress, Val, is as good a waitress as we've ever had.
Great service nice space
Excellent service and very good French food. I will definitely go again soon.
Really wanted to give this place a good review as it was recommended by someone who had dined there previously. This was a breakfast meal, not dinner, but was marginal and expensive. They did not have my reservation, and seemed to still be "moving in". No hostess at the door to greet diners, boxes strewn in the entry as if stocking was abandoned midway.
Had great hopes for the sister owners and may still give it another chance, but simply cannot give a good recommendation at this time. Wait staff was fine.
