Walking into Le Foyer you are immediately cocooned in a warm and elegant room oozing class. Great ambience. For our first visit we chose the Degustation menu. Good value for the quality and amount of food presented. I couldn't finish the beautiful raspberry souffle, I was too full! Stand outs for me were the wood charred squid, the steak tartare (EXCELLENT!), and the faux-filet Sher wagu EXCELLENT!, the perfect french bistro dish. The wine offering is varied and well-curated, as you would expect from a quality french restaurant. The wine recommendation made by the Team was spot on. The Team were knowledgeable, professional, warm and welcoming. We will definitely make this venue a fave spot. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Excellent meal, the steak tartare was delicious and fresh. Mains were also very nice, the fish was a stand out. However dessert was a little underwhelming. The creme brulee while interesting was not what we expected. The attempt to make it more interesting was a disappointment and did not really come off. Over all though was great.

A phenomenal edition to the Bendigo gastronomy scene. The interior is stunning and the food is a match made in heaven, a take on more traditional French fare. Don’t go past the Pomme Puree with the truffle edition and the Tartlette was perfection in a bite. We would return again and again, the staff were phenomenal, produce well sourced, dishes surprising and perfect in portion sizes and the whole vibe just delivered something special, highly recommend.

This restaurant has authentic French food with beautiful Australian ingredients. We really enjoyed the choices, especially the French classics such as duck liver parfait, steak tartare and soufflé. The service was outstanding - reminiscent of fine dining of old! Well trained staff were unobtrusive and professional. The room became a little too warm on a very cold night - or perhaps I just had dressed too warmly? Excellent drinks list. My partner doesn’t drink but really enjoyed the Paris Blonde mocktail. We would return to this restaurant next time we are in Bendigo.

Had a beautiful lunch. We chose the 3 course lunch menu. Great value. Food was delicious. Great service. Love the open kitchen. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Affordable wines. Will come again.
