   A lovely spare dining room, pleasantly quiet on a Tuesday night, perhaps livelier on the weekends. Wonderful rich coq au vin which too often seems like chicken just simmered in wine and an excellent stuffed pork. Limited selection of wine by the glass but ok. Pavlova for dessert was rich and tasty. Only complaint is no pads on the banquet seating which lowered the overall rating. That wood gets pretty hard pretty fast.

   I made a Friday night dinner reservation for my boyfriend's birthday. Unfortunately, Le Fond had to cancel because they were closing the restaurant for a private event. Luckily, we were able to rebook for Sunday night (his actual birth day anyway!). The service was great, and we even received a complimentary glass of champagne as an apology. Plus, the chef, Jake, came out to meet us (and the other guests in the restaurant), apologized, and also thanked us for coming by. Really nice! For dinner, we got the beet salad and the leek & charred octopus soup. The salad was super light and refreshing. The soup was creamy and the octopus still a little crunchy. For dinner, the bf got the short ribs and I got the duck ragu pappardelle. I loved my dish and would only share a little of the duck. My bf's stomach wasn't feeling great that day, so he mainly ate the beef, which was super tender and delicious. I'll definitely be back when we're both feeling 100%!

   GREAT local French Bistro. Was in town visiting friends in Williamsburg, and they took us here for dinner. Ambiance is perfect - low light, quaint, not too noisy, warm and inviting. Service is great. Food was outstanding. Super flavorful. Three of us had the Coq Au Vin. The Roasted Brussels Sprouts were divine. Would definitely go back when we're in town again.

   Really terrific food, beautiful presentation and perfect service. The wine pairing with each course was spot on. My husband and I had a wonderful time (he loved the beer).

   What a great surprise! It was a Saturday night so we figured we'd need a reservation for anything decent in the Williamsburg area and it was raining so we didn't want to walk around to find a place. Le Fond was in the neighborhood we were looking to dine and had a reservation so we just booked it on a whim while hanging out at Interboro Brewing and Distilling (also a pretty great place). The food was amazing and a complete surprise. I would totally go back.

   Everything was good. They were slow to seat my African American girlfriend and me. Despite the hostess and waitress both making eye contact with me, they both remained seated at the bar for about 30 seconds while my date and I stood awkwardly at the door. Once we ordered a bottle of wine I think they realized we were good customers. That shouldn't be the case.

    Good food and service on a nice block. It was quiet due to the weather, however I can see this place being fun as a neighborhood spot.
