                                      This was our fourth time at Le Flamant and it’s been consistently excellent. Lindfield is fortunate to have such a quality venue.

                                      Just an absolute delight from start to finish. The services was outstanding despite a slight mishap to begin with. The food was sublime and Tim made a fantastic Expresso Martini !!. So nice to have a restaurant like this in Lindfield. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

                                      Noise damping is urgently required in this space. We could not hear each other talk, the noise of others talking was so incredibly loud and off-putting. It will stop three of us coming back. Additionally, we were told our table was needed back after a ‘two-hour space. Given we’re at the mercy of the service and it’s ’small plates’ this resulted in us feeling rushed and pushed out. Tables who’d arrived at the same time as us were still eating and not encouraged to leave. I was told these people had ‘likely asked for a longer booking’ - I feel this is unlikely for all of the tables I’d noticed. The service (apart from exit cajoling) was good and the food very pleasant, but the other factors have put us off.

                                      Thank you Karen for your feedback. I am sorry that you felt the restaurant was noisy. the acoustics are something we spent a lot of time on when we designed the restaurant and I believe we have done the best we can with the space we have. we want to create a bustly atmosphere but one where guests can converse. I will keep an eye on things and look at other acoustic solutions. I am also sorry you felt rushed, we give a table of four 2 hours. it is not an exact science as some people wish to stay for much longer than others. We do now give people the option to ask for more time when they book (as is the case with the table you mentioned) but you booked some time ago when this was not on our emails. I am sorry that you were not offered this. I hope we can welcome you back for at some point

                                      Beautifully decorated, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Good choice of wines at varying prices. Staff very friendly and attentive. Delicious food but seriously overpriced! £16 for one ravioli?? Albeit with an egg inside, chanterelle etc We were told these were plates to share, like tapas, but how do you share one piece of ravioli? Cheese Board was good but skimpy on the bread. This is a small Sussex Village, not London. Prices should he affordable for locals.

I have noted your point on the ravioli pricing and have looked carefully at costs and portion sizes. we very much want to champion ourselves as a local restaurant and hope that we can appeal to as many people as possible. hopefully we can welcome you back again

                                      We arrived on time but our table wasn’t ready so we had to sit for 20 mins on bar stools to the side of the bar with staff squeezing by us - the staff were friendly but admitted that they had little catering experience before opening the restaurant and were struggling with the flow of customers - the food and wine were very good but they forgot two of our dishes and there were long gaps between them - they were kind and us our desserts for free to compensate - we found the room very noisy and a bit cramped as lots of customers ended up standing at the bar waiting for tables - it was a bit disappointing for our first visit but hopefully they will get into their stride - lovely location and great food

                                      Thank you for taking the time to review us Peter. I am disappointed to learn that on this occasion you left underwhelmed. You had a table booked for 8pm, arrived at 7.55, you then had to wait until 8:12 for your table, during which time you had a drink at the ledge near the bar- This is a tight space. You had to remind us about your olives and your potatoes were sent to another table. Not good from us and I apologise. You received 2 desserts at no charge for this. The long gaps- I have emailed you on this to understand more. Your meal was ordered and served in 1hr 24 minutes and your food came out in an orderly pattern. We had 4 people at the bar at 9:05 for 15 mins. I apologise if this impacted you. I wish we had more space. We would love the chance to give you a better experience.

                                      We absolutely loved our evening at Le Flamant. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The staff and ambience were excellent and we all said we would return. The only disappointing dish was the egg ravioli. This arrived as a single raviolo which in itself represented poor value for money but given that it is a sharing plate was a little odd.

                                      Really enjoyed our evening out at Le Flamant, the service was impeccable, the ambience was perfect and the food was extremely good. We really enjoy the small plates dining experience as you get to taste so many wonderful flavours. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to book again.

                                      The food was excellent with special commendation for the lamb which melted in the mouth. Service was initially a little rushed but settled down nicely afterwards with smiling attentiveness to the fore. There was a lovely quiet buzz about the place and we can’t wait to go back.

                                      Very good visit overall. Outstanding service and everything arrived at the right moment. Restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient. The table was perhaps rather small but otherwise everything including the food was excellent.
