Great service, friendly and entertaining staff. Food was delicious.
J'avais hâte d'essayer le restaurant. En général, c'était bien. Par contre, les plats étaient tous un peu trop salés et peut-être même un peu trop travaillés. Bien que le chef soit Japonais, on ne retrouve pas la simplicité ou la finesse de la cuisine japonaise. Je dirai plus que c'est une cuisine de fusion et pas nécessairement spécialisée en fruits-de-mer.
En passant, la pieuvre grillée dans le menu....n'est pas grillée, mais plutôt poêlée...

Fabulous seafood in a great space. Oyster appetizer was a mix of 4 raw and 2 baked, all of which were very fresh. The baked oysters were very nicely prepared, with a light and flavourful topping. The hamachi tuna appetizer was exceptionally fresh with a tasty marinade, covered with a nest of finely shredded beet, cucumber and wonton skin. The two daily fish selections (sea bass and black cod) were both very fresh and flavourful, with a creative fusion of asian and european flavours. Unlike some of the more extravagant restaurants that spend so much time plating that the food arrives lukewarm, everything arrived on our table moments after it was cooked with the bass skin still hot and crispy. For food of this quality, the prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be back!
Spectacular experience from start to finish. The host is a true gem and we enjoyed everything fully. Highly recommend.
This was one of the best dining experiences ever. Food, service, you name it. I cannot say enough about the quality and attention to detail for each component. When we come back to Montreal, we will always come back to Le Filet.

This restaurant will never fail to please and impress you, in both taste and aesthetics. Chef Yasu Okazaki understands the true meaning of curating an everlasting meal; orchestrating the delivery of 6 courses in perfect fashion and creating a unique, off-menu dessert for my girlfriend who had a gluten allergy. And his balance of flavors will rival the best dishes you’ve ever tasted.
I highly recommend dining at Le Filet, you will not leave disappointed.
I had dinner with friend in this restaurant on Sept 22. Food was good, but the young male waiter was not up to standard on such restaurant. He seems tired after waiting on a couple of table, ( only around 8pm) and we have to wave for his attention ( after waiting over 10 minutes) three times before he responded. He was rude in his manner also.
I think a waiter with his altitude sure with ruin all the good things about this restaurant.
