What Insiders Are Saying
For your next special occasion/fancy night out dinner in SoHo, consider the French fine dining at Le Coucou.
We were lucky to have been served a delicious breakfast. Thank you Le CouCou.
Amazing as always!
Menu with out many options; no sides; no pasta; we did not see a vegetarian option
The ambiance is way better than the food
I brought an important client there on Tuesday after hearing much ado about Le Coucou.
My lamb chop was thin, relatively tasteless and FULL of fat. Had I not been with a client I would have asked the manager to observe, explain and replace it.
This is a great place for a special meal. It's pricey, but worth it for the right occasion.
My wife and I are long time fans of Spring restaurant in Paris and were so sorry to see it shut down when Daniel Rose moved his family back to NY. But, we’re now huge fans of Le Coucou! This was the second time we’ve dined there and absolutely loved it. The service was amazing, recommendations and wine pairings perfect and they even have Chateau D’Yquem by the glass. It’s amazing to see the chefs work in the open kitchen just like Spring although much larger. There wasn’t an empty seat in the house and we dined on a Monday evening. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to NY and look forward to trying out his wife’s restaurant too.
Special place for special occasions
Estupendo restaurante. Excelente Servicio
Amazing experience. Truly made our evening special. The food and service was outstanding.
Amazing lunch and beautiful restaurant
Le Coucou...Not only is the ambience so lovely along with the food being delicious, but the service was just impeccable without being obtrusive. Service and attitude is what usually disappoints me and being in work that deals with the public, I, unfortunately, look too much at how I or my group is treated because I always make sure I am giving my best to each person I deal with and so I expect people to behave the same. But we know that is not the case. So, I give a great big cheers to Le Coucou for rising above the rest...
Thank you for a lovely time.
This was exactly the experience I was seeking for my 30th birthday celebration. My husband and I were treated so well, even without ordering alcohol on a Friday night. They took pics of us by the bar, threw in an extra dessert for my birthday and it ended up being one I wanted (along with what I chose because I can never get enough dessert, especially French!) . Every bite of food was incredibly perfect. I will most definitely be returning. Oh and to top it off their house sodas are amazing we tried Fig Apple and the Strawberry Basil - which is a significant inside joke for my husband and i :D
Visited for brunch too - this experience is recommendable.
Food ok but not more than that compared to what you pay and not what you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. Next seat neighbours were energetic and the lady dropped/pushed a glass of red wine over my dress, for which we were compensated by the restaurant with an extra dessert. However, the couple got extra drinks and desserts for complaining over the quality of the food, so did not really feel like a compensation.
Food was average to good.
I had written a note to the restaurant in my reservation that I wanted to propose to the love of my life during our diner. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary. I had asked them a private and cute table for us to be sitting together. The went over and above to make this the most wonderful night of our life. We will remember this night for ever and they played a part in it. Amazing service, food and ambiance. They even offered us as a congratulations for our engagement a glass of champagne and desert. Thanks to the whole team at Le Coucou!
Enjoyed a nice date night away from the kids. We love a great dining/ foodie experience. Was slightly disappointed with my dinner, Halibut lacked any visual appeal as it was just coated in a heavy white cream sauce with white veggie. Maybe me, but not a huge fan of cream sauces. Our wine was great, but should have been decanted at the cost and with the amount of sediment it contained. Ambiance was nice, but waitstaff lacked friendly charm we receive at other fine dining establishments.
Le Coucou was everything we thought it would be and more. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. It was a very special experience- highly recommended!!!
Absolutely gorgeous restaurant - incredible decor and ambience. Delicious and unique cuisine. Only drawback was the rather slow service (had to ask for check a few times). It was a business lunch and we all had to get back to work. Otherwise- wonderful.
Always amazing and incredible service!!
What an outstanding meal. We had 5 menu items; everything was prepared originally and delicously. The service was perfect.
MD tried to hurry us out after 90mn
The food was a let down.
By far among the best French currently in town. Refined classics served in a very pleasant room. Third visit, looking forward to returning in May.
Excellent eating experience..Everything was beautifully perfectly cooked and presented. The service was very professional and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Great service and amazing food
Beautiful restaurant and excellent food and service
It was spectacular
Everything was excellent. I'll be back soon!
One of favorite restaurants that clicks every box. Pricey but never disappointed and worth every penney.
Wonderful Fantastic Amazing.
It was my second time there and it did not disappoint. The service is on point, the food is outstanding, and the room quiet and wonderful.
Venue, atmosphere and service are great! Food is just average and extremely pricey for what it is.
I found the food a bit fussy. The ambiance is great.
Food was delicious. Service was awesome. Would definitely go back
Outstanding food and wine offerings. Impeccable service. One of the finest dining experience we have had in our trips to NYC.
Will,be a must in future visits.
Lobster salad was very underwhelming, service & ambience were fantastic!
Tip: don't order specials just because they have them on the menu! Get the popular dishes instead
Amazing 🎉 thank you 🙏
It was truly great
Hands down the worst service I have had at any NYC restaurant, especially one that is this expensive.
The food was delicious as always. However, I would not suggest anyone dine with you with so many options nearby.
Best meal of our trip
