Stuffed with Fresh Lobster
Over all experience was positive. The food was disappointing.
Great service, delicious food everytime! Our favorite!
Our server was overly-pressed on number of tables she was assigned, but made our experience at this restaurant. We both started with salads, both of which were super-fresh but very bland. The traditionally prepared dover sole had good flavor but was overcooked. The best flavor of ravioli trio was the mushroom and vodka sauces, but noodle edges were hard/undercooked. It was super busy, and kitchen may’ve been short-staffed, so our experience could’ve been a “one-off”
For the prices I would have expected fresh made pastas. I ordered the spaghetti with clans in white sauce which was dry and only 10 tiny little claims in the whole dish. I expected more and better for $25.
The food was cold. Our waiter was slammed inside and outside so our food probably sat. This was our first time and not likely to go back or recommend.
Buena comida y buena atención.
Great second visit in two weeks. Bruschetta was out if this world. Salmon. Cooked poached with creamed sauce excellent
This has been my fav restaurant since I moved here end of 2020. My family was visiting and we went here last week, they also said this was their fav restaurant in Sarasota.
What can you say? Amazing Italian food and pasta cooked perfectly, nice ambience and presentation, great service, and consistent.
Doesn't hurt that you can view the sunset on Lido Beach, walk to dinner here, then stroll around St Armand's. Diana, Bojan, and Aurora are rockstars here.
Food is always great
Terrible service even when the restaurant was less than half full
Food did not taste good, pasta was so disappointing as well
Will not come back at all, what a sad waste of time
I do not recommend, Olive Garden is sadly better than this spot
foo was exceptional. service was timely and excellent, I will return tor other meals
The food was average for the price that was charged.
Ate outside on a lovely evening after a rainy day Delicious lasagna and ravioli Homemade pasta was used
What a great dinner! Peter was our server a d he was awesome. Attentive and made great suggestions including wine. Food was spectacular. Can’t wait to go back
Great Italian food, wonderful people waiting on you. Love the atmosphere.
I am very disappointed in this experience. I was looking forward to my meal based on the great location and overall great rating. After our experience, I looked closer to the reviews which mirrored our experience. First of all, our waitress was dismissive, unfriendly, and rude. She came to our table as minimally as possible. Never asked me if I wanted anything after I finished my drink. Dumped my salad on the table and took off before I could tell her that I asked for dressing on the side. Then I had to find her 15 minutes later to tell her the salad was not what I ordered and gave it back. Then I had to ask her to take the uneaten salad off the bill. She never smiled or was nice. All the other waiters were interacting and smiling with the diners. Then the food. The chicken parm was just not good. Piece of chicken with sauce on it and not tasty sauce at that. I generally stick to the if you don’t have something nice to say, do not say anything, but I really think management needs to know what a poor experience we had.
Food was just ok
Would have been better if served hot
Food was luke warm at best.
Food was Excellent!
Amber gave us great service!
A must when you are in or near St. Armands
This was the second time we have eaten at Le Colonne. The first time we were just happy to get a table. This past week we had a reservation and ate outside. Although the service and atmosphere were fine, the food left much to be desired. The grilled chicken I ordered with my salad was overcooked and tasteless. I had to cut off over half because it was too hard to chew. Our guest had the trio ravioli and said it was mediocre at best.
There are so many good restaurants at Armand Circle, that we will not be eating here again.
Long wait to receive drinks and dinner
Longer wait to get our check
Dinner was very good and the menu offered options for children as well
Nice location, right in the middle of St Armand's Circle
This was not our first visit and again it was a very enjoyable experience! The service and ambiance was great, as was the food. We'd recommend it!
The food was OK, service was ok. Unfortunately nothing exceptional except the location.
Overall we were not impressed with our experience. It’s rare to have service that is so slow and without any effort to make the dining experience even remotely pleasant. The waitress did the bare minimum with very few words & an unfriendly demeanor. We were surprised she didn’t even bother to check in to make sure we had refills on drinks (some of us didn’t & went without for most of the meal). Food was excellent for some (lasagna was particularly good), and just ok for others. Not enough to want to go back, though.
We enjoyed our meal!! The food was amazing! Overall everything was wonderful! Outside seating and music for your enjoyment.
Waitress was inattentive. Food was mediocre. Don’t enforce mask policies well
The Easter menu had very limited options. Wish they could’ve offer their full menu.
There were no specials, no appetizer menu, and service was just ok. Usually Italian restaurants can make some alterations to the menu especially for kids, but not here! So many other places to choose from in St. Armonds- definitely would not go back.
Food was generally very disappointing. Seating was only available inside, and while there was adequate air circulation, the tables were very close together. In addition, the chairs were extremely uncomfortable (2 of our party of 5 had to switch chairs mid-meal due to springs sticking up). Wait staff was incredibly nice and helpful, while the host appeared overwhelmed. Very mediocre food in a a dark and depressing environment.
Server kept forgetting about us
A bit costly for not being a la carte
Food was average, restroom facilities were not well kept whatsoever. Go here if nothing else has availability.
Everything we ordered was delicious but our service did not match the food or our expectations. Every time I visited I was fully satisfied but this time we were a bit disappointed. Our server never came to check on us after the food was delivered till it was time for us to leave.
This restaurant seems to be very popular in the area. Food was good and comparable to most Italian restaurants. We had a reservation but if you didn't the hostess would berate customers who were walk ins. The outdoor seating is popular, we were unable to book outdoor yet people with no reservations were able to sit outside. Our waitress was friendly but a lot of them were not. My plate of lasagna was $24. It was ok! Probably wouldn't go back just because of the lack of friendliness.
Nice atmosphere. Server was very attentive. Food was delicious and was served hot. Pizza was mediocre. Clams and spaghetti were delicious and ravioli was very nice. Overall, nice experience.
What a difference a pandemic makes. No pasta Bolognese?? That was the main reason I came from Boston to Le Colonne; which I have been doing for 11 years. Can't recommend at this time. Will try again in six months...
Nice to dine outside/on street but motorcycles kept zipping by and the Kareoke singer gal had her speakers turned up way too loud....remember it's not a concert but dinner atmosphere music please!! All of our food was tasty and cooked properly. The portion of chicken parmesean was extremely small for the price so my husband was still hungry. (FYI: Venezia across the street way better dish, value and twice the portion!) Our waitress wasn't very friendly, not very good at her job, wasn't exactly sure of what beers they had in bottle, & was confused quite a bit while we were ordering. The middle aged hostess lady with long blond hair has zero personality and not a good friendly face as our first impression, she was like an angry host who wanted you to leave. The bathrooms are behind a tacky red curtain and not very clean which is not a good sign for a restaurant.
Food was outstanding as usual!
The menu online is not the menu in the restaurant.
We waited a very long time for our server to come to the table even though it was not busy. Once she did I mentioned that I had food allergies and would like to request plain pasta no sauce of any kind. She informed me that they would not modify a dish. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the menu offered did NOT match what was online this left me without any food options. We left the restaurant without dinner. Plain pasta did not seem like a difficult request.
We had the Prime Rib and Chicken Parm, they were both fantastic!
