Le Colonial NYC
Great to have a cocktail in the upstairs lounge and then go downstairs for fine dining.
Really nice decor and atmosphere. The service is friendly and efficient. The Vietnamese good is very upscale and authentic. Totally delicious.
This restaurant was a gem with a beautiful dining room, excellent service, an interesting and very fine menu, and quiet enough for conversation. I'm sure I'll be back.
Food was good but it is very dirty and needs a face lift. The booths have duct tape holding them together and my table cloth was filthy.
An easy location to get to since it's in Midtown East. The Red Snapper was tasty, but also $48.
The food at Le Colonial was very good. The service was OK (the waitress had difficulty understanding orders). The restaurant is very attractive. It is definitely a place to which I will return.
A pleasant environment but cuisine was plebian.
Ambience, food and service were all very good, and considerably higher than the Zagat rating suggested. Another UES Vietnamese restaurant has the same Zagat rating and there's no comparison to Le Colonial in any respect.
Amazing service from the moment one steps into the restaurant, from the hostess, Manager, waiters & all staff!
Wonderful & Pleasant ambiance!
Food is beautifully presented, visually appetizing, and delicious!
However, prices a bit too high.
Fantastic atmosphere not noisy and good service. a nice little retreat in Midtown.
That’s good, but what I want is original Vietnamese food. Le Colonial syle is a little fusion.
We went here for our anniversary, the atmosphere and ambiance were fitting, the was fresh and delicious and the staff were very attentive.
Le Colonial used to be a favorite spot for delicious food and serene ambiance. Unfortunately, my last several visits have been disappointing. Service is still pleasant but the quality of the food has gone down hill. I hope this will change
Buns and mushroom ravioli were spectacularly delightful! Second courses very good but Nos as the appetizers. Service was outstanding always with a smile and making sure your experience was great! Definitely will keep on returning.
Weekday lunch fairly empty good value on set lunch
We arrived at an early dinner weeknight hour - 6:00. It was quiet and we were seated at a quiet spot as we requested. Service was attentive and the food was very good. The restaurant filled up more as the evening wore on. We were celebrating and the management comped us with two glasses of champagne- a generous touch. We will return and recommend this restaurant to others.
It's a superb experience. The decor and ambience are enough of a draw, but the service is attentive, and the food wonderful. Just wish I lived next door.
Amazing spring rolls and beef dish. The sea bass not as tasty as we expected.
The ambiance and service was great. But the food is pricey (roughly $35-$45 an entree) and the quality of dishes was not as good as compared to previous years when I have been there.
We had my birthday party with 30 guests and it was lovely but I wanted to return to savor the experience and it’s now my favorite restaurant!
We did the price fixed and everything was very good. And the service people were good as needed.
Service was terrible
Food gave me headache - corn starch
Maybe it was good years ago but now for theprice is just mediocre!
It was great, good food and service. They even had a little surprise for the birthday in our group
Wonderful service, amazing food!!
Good service and a lively atmosphere. White table clothed vietnamese, with a good (although pricey) wine list. Convenient mid-town location for afterwork get togethers with colleagues or friends.
I used to love this place! The food has gotten progressively worse in the last ten years. Spring rolls are heavier than they used to be. Scallops were not good quality. Love the atmosphere. Too bad.
I go often because everything is extremely good. Just the service is slow for me
I had not been here for quite a while. I took a friend for a birthday lunch. It was just delicious as when it opened. The service was good and they did not rush us out. Be sure to get their special coffee!
My husband and I have patronized Le Colonial since it opened. We dined with friends, family and we had several business dinners at the restaurant over the years.
Last evening it was the first time I was disappointed. I ordered one of my favorite dishes: duck, and it was definitely under par. The duck was old, cooked much earlier, tough and full of uncooked fat. I didn’t send it back, since we were entertaining a friend, but now I think I should have complained before we left.
Saturday night tired and old
No need to return
A nice dinning experience that dropped off after the restaurant got busy. A good menu selection and excellent food. But around 8PM when more and more customers arrived the service started to lack and the food/drink was getting stingy. Eat early.
Great food with superb service ❤️
Excellent as usual
Our waitress was very helpful and understanding with our party’s food allergies. She was able to suggest safe menu items without impatience. The food came to our table hot and delicious and just the way we ordered it. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
This place was very inconsistent. A few dishes were great, while others were quite bland and uninteresting or just mediocre. Our waiter was not at all attentive and repeatedly forgot about us, but the floor manager realized this and took efforts to help us out. The ambiance was nice at first and the decor was elegant and understated, but the acoustics are terrible--once it got crowded the noise level was hard to bear.
Always lovely returning to this restaurant and bringing new people to experience great Vietnamese food with super service, drinks and a wine list From the lettuce roll appetizer to the matcha tea cake dessert and a daily duck special it was a great evening
As good as in Chicago. Great French Vietnamese food. Try it.
Very attractive dining room and a stunning bar, which offered a terrific happy hour and some interesting cocktails. Dinner menu was very comprehensive, something for every taste. Food was excellent. Overall a great dining experience and we shall be going back.
The upstairs bar area is really beautiful, and the jalapeno margaritas were absolutely fantastic! We had dinner in the first floor dining room, where the wait staff took excellent care of us. It was a very diverse menu, with small plates as well as entrees. Our meals were delicious!
