Always a treat! Ambience, service and food is amazing!
From start to finish this was a great dining experience, look forward to going back after the Corona virus is gone
Incredible food, beautiful location and amazing staff
I visited this restaurant because i was recommended, and I was not disappointed. I highly suggest the vegetables.
Tasty food, outstanding service!
LeColonial is always outstanding, and this time it was one of the best. From cocktails to a bottle of Peter Michael Pinot Noir to a wonderful meal with fabulous tastes and spice. Our server, Alicia, was the icing on the cake. It was an A+ evening.
Very good. I’ll be back. Only thing that caught my eye was $4/$6 white rice.
Love Le Colonial and the new location. The food is fantastic, unique and full of flavor. I would highly recommend to anyone in Chicago.
Love it here. Love the new location
Need to add rests for the chop sticks - no where to put them down
Make sure there is always a greeter at the desk that says hello before the client does. Will make people more welcome
Fabulous. Jorge, our server was the best!
Delicious cuisine, fun and fancy ambience. It is still a treat to dine here, even after the move.
The food was really good and the place was nice and elegant. Will definitely go back!
Amazing experience, great food choices
Perfect mood and food , service!
Nice meal thanks
It was our first visit in the new space and it was beautiful. We had lunch were able to enjoy the sunshine which just added to the ambiance. The service and food were great and the menu has so many interesting dishes that we can't wait to return.
Overall a very wonderful experience at Le Colonial. Stand out moments included the Pho and the service staff. Our hostess Victoria was warm, intelligent and started off the experience strong. The rest of our waitstaff is incredibly competent and efficient, completing a very lovely experience. We will be back soon.
Le Colonel delivers again and again and again. Every dish is perfect. Servers friendly. And the relatively new location is beautiful. If I lived in Chicago I could eat here every week. I don’t believe they have a lunch menu — so your looking at 100 per couple for lunch- so dinner might feel like a better value. But your not going there for that ....
Great food, great table service - our waitress and bus boy were outstanding. The hostess could be a bit nicer but overall it was a very nice lunch. Highly recommended!
Our server was very knowledgeable of menu and her recommendations were spot on !!
Beautiful restaurant, great service, delicious food. Will definitely return.
Great as always!
We got the chicken dumplings, the monkfish, shrimp stir fry, and the red snapper. Everything we ate was delicious but I have to say the red snapper was outstanding. It definitely exceeded our expectations and left us wanting more. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
We found the cuisine served at Le Colonial to be complex and delicious. They were busy, but service seemed relaxed and helpful. The space is luxurious and elegant. We hope to return one day soon.
Amaizin mg food and service. Patricia provided an extraordinary service.
Great service, great food, good atmosphere, valet was nixe
Wonderful! Le Colonial didn’t disappoint! The service, food, ambiance were all amazing!
This place never fails. The food is so incredible and the service is just as good. I always feel like I have my waiters full attention and they’re so kind. A wonderful experience overall!
Excellent dinner, wonderful experience, fabulous ambiance.
So delicious and fantastic service! Would highly recommend getting a handful of small dishes to try a bunch with the table.
I love this place! Loved it 20 years ago and love the new location even more. We have sat in different areas of the restaurant , we prefer the bar area, its very cozy and warm. The food is fantastic, never had anything bad or mediocre. Its our new special occasion restaurant.
New location after move from Rush Street is a huge plus. More room but kept ambiance. Food was fantastic. Especially noteworthy was waiter’s comment on one of the appetizers. Based on this, we ordered and it was terrific. Looking forward to next visit.
We very much enjoyed taking our son and girlfriend to have lunch at Le Colonial. They loved it.
Fabulous food and service! All dishes were wonderful!
I have dined here many times. This was my first bad experience. Our waiter treated us with disdain. I ordered the chicken salad which is usually a salad with chicken and this time it was with a few soggy bits of cabbage as garnish for the salad. I sent it back and they added two pieces of lettuce. I ordered light oil stir fried broccoli but it came with little broccoli and some undefined vegetable soaked in oil. An expensive dinner for almost no food and bad service. I am canceling my next reservation.
As always le colonial is worth it. The flavors are authentic without straying into too modern territory. Fresh bright and light. The whole fried snapper although deep fried is not greasy and very tasty. Spring rolls also spectacular.
This was just downright awful. I had to hunt the waiter down 30 minutes into our reservation in order to get our drinks order taken. Then another 30 minutes later, hunt him down again to take our food order. There were instructions in advance that disruption should be kept at a minimum after the F&B order is taken and delivered.
I also gave specific instructions to him re how to handle the bill for 8 of us. Yet, he did the complete opposite, which made things awkward.
Finally, the room was extremely loud - could barely hear my own thoughts - making it very difficult to hear each other. While I knew I had the option of booking the private room, I was shocked that to book required spending a minimum of $700 (and this was lunch), Overall, a very unpleasant and disappointing experience.
