Bistro Steak au Poivre

This is our favorite restaurant on the island. The shrimp appetizer with fried green tomato is out of this world. I wish it was an entree!
It was our first time dining at Le Clos. The food was excellent! My husband had the shrimp scampi entree, I had the duck. We both has the escargot for our appetizers. Everything was done perfectly!!! We will be back for another visit for sure. Melanie, our server was awesome, too!!!
Delightful as always. It’s a pleasure. One we look forward to each visit to Amelia 🏝 for
Really good French inspired food. We had dinner in their garden which had great ambiance.
Excellent date night neighborhood tourist restaurant. Great food, ok wine list, excellent service, cute quaint country French look.
Excellent restaurant, have lived on the Island for two years and this is the first time we went. Food was excellent, we sat in the garden what a great spot, great ambience. Our waitstaff were excellent , attentive but not intrusive everything was timed perfectly.
Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back!
Excellent as always!
Best Caesar salad ever!!! Everything was delicious
Food was all great. Servers seemed a little stretched thin, compromising service a bit. Escargot top notch. Pate was properly seasoned. Duck breast was the right temperature with excellent sauce and presentation. Creme brulee was firm with a crisp glaze as it should be. Kitchen knows what they are doing. Wine prices very fair. This restaurant is now one of our top ten favorites nationwide.
The restaurant needs a lot of acoustical adjustment to soak up the sounds of people speaking. It got so loud it became uncomfortable and nearly impossible to speak to the other person at my table. I would have helped if there was no music playing at all.
Simply average food—good enough but does not justify the price. Our server was great; however, the wait time between courses was LONG and we sat for at least 15 minutes before anyone came over at all. Sadly, I would not return.
Great food and also a great value. The inside dining was nice but a little sterile and next time I will request a table in the garden which looked great.
We had a problem, which I won’t describe because it was unusual. The staff was very, very helpful. They could not have been more helpful.
The food has always been very good. It still is. It’s always been my favorite restaurant for dinner tho we havn’t been there for dinner for two or three years. (We used to have a boat and usually docked at the marina. However, we gave the boat away about two years ago. Now we drive to Fernandina for lunch and Le Clos is not open for lunch.)
My wife and I are serious about high-quality food, and we were both VERY pleased with Le Clos. Elegant but not glitzy, the food was excellently prepared and fresh and perfectly seasoned. All in all, by far our best dinner in Fernandina. Highly recommended.
We had the most wonderful experience and we highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who enjoys an excellent prepared dinner.
This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Fernandina. I love the food and I love the staff. I look forward to going every time and never disappointed!
My wife and I love this place. Small, quiet and intimate with great food and service. This time we started with pate, but did seafood for the main course. Shrimp for my wife and scallops for me, with the requisite sharing. Both were delicious. Of note - they have a great selection of wines by the glass allowing everybody to be happy. My wife has a bit of a sweet tooth so moscato for her. I’m more in to savory flavors so a dry prosecco for me with the scallops was perfect. Creme Brûlée for desert with a great coffee brought to the table in a French press. Routinely excellent!
Solid French cuisine across the board!! The escargot are the best, just like the Brittany region in France. Our compliments to the Chef (s).
Great appetizers salads and entrees. Need work on desert. Good creams brûlée.
I love French food and tranquil dining experiences! Thanks for fabulous date night!
A lovely dining experience! Nice setting, wonderful food was prepared for us, and our waitress was very helpful. This was a great way to cap off our Spring Break.
We enjoyed Le Clos. The food was excellent and the service was attentive but not hurried.
We had the best meal at Le Clos. Best restaurant for date night in all of Fernandina!
Very nice small restaurant. The meal was delicious and the service was great! I would highly recommend this for a very enjoyable dinner.
Another awesome dinner at Le Clos..! we invited friends, who had never eaten at Le Clos before, to join us... everyone “loved” their meals... the Calamari was a big hit.! Also the Escargot were fab..! For the 3 of us, the Bistro Steak and the Tuna were wonderful... cooked just as ordered..!
We all ended our dinner with the yummy Creme Brûlée...!!!
Our Server, Mitzi was terrific... very attentive and professional..!
Splurged a little on our wine choice - the Trefethen Cab was amazing... a perfect evening in a beautiful setting..!

A lovely evening all around. Cozy cottage. Good food, great service.
Delicious food! Great service!
It was a wonderful experience. The food was superb, the atmosphere so quaint and the service was excellent. We will be back for more.
We eat here whenever we’re in town. The food is always consistently delicious and the service is outstanding! The dinning room is small so reservations are highly recommend.
Mitsy was great!
Le Clos has been a must visit every time I’m in Amelia for Concours. The place is busy, vibrant, and fun. The food is not only consistent but excellent. The service does not miss a beat. One of my all-time faves!
Food was extremely salty. AND I LIKE SALT MORE THAN MOST MEN.
