Le Clos of Amelia Island, Inc.
The menu at Le Clos starts with classic French appetizers like escargot, pate, and calamari. Entres include a range of rustic French dishes, such as breast of chicken with citrus beurre blanc and beef and duck meatloaf with a red wine mushroom pan sauce.
A bit cramped but some might say cozy. Excellent food snd service, generous portions, great value. In adorable house.
Always wonderful it tonight it was better than ever!
Food was delicious and service was great! Love from NJ visitors!
One of our favorite restaurants! We fly from PA several times a year and go here every time. French food done to perfection and without pomp. Fantastic!!
Fabulous restaurant, great food, charming ambiance and fabulous service. Want to go back!
We love Le Clos. Make a point of having dinner whenever we're in town. Vive Le Clos!
Excellent quality food. Loved the mushroom bruchetta appetizer. Husband loved the beef/duck meatloaf. Thanks for a terrific dining experience. 😊 Will recommend to friends.
Birthday Dinner for my wife
Can’t pass through town without eating at Les Clos. Dream of the meatloaf!
Meal was not as good as previous visits and for being seated first our meal took over an 1.5 hrs to complete with out dessert. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and received no extra recognition. It will be a while before we return.
This is our very favorite local restaurant especially for special occasions. *
Wonderful and delightful all the way around. Top notch service, food, wine and charm were enjoyed by two couples enjoying an anniversary dinner together! (The weather on the island was amazing too).
As always, a great meal experience!
Always a treat - very good food with a very well trained and pleasantly enthusiastic staff. Our favorite in the area, and a fair value for the quality of the food and service.
We have had wonderful dining experiences here for the last two years that we have visited Amelia Island. We were eager to return this year and were not disappointed. The food, service and inviting environment reminded us why we love this restaurant.
My daughter and I both ordered the scallops and pasta dinner from the menu. Disappointed that there were only 3 scallops in the plate, and pasta was tasteless, for $33. Basically a butter sauce with no flavor. Ambiance was cozy and inviting, service excellent.
Food is outstanding! Service is exact. Not rushed at all. Impeccable timing between courses.
Almost an annual visit driving to or from Florida....if in the area try it and I'm sure you'll agree
Great food, Great service, Nice atmosphere, although it got a little loud when it filled up. Would definitely go back!
Food is always outstanding at Le Clos and that’s all you need to know.
Les Clos is loaded with charm. It is a small cottage, so the tables are fairly close together and cozy. I warned my dinner partner that the portions would be small, as is common with a French restaurant. I was wrong about that. The portions were quite generous, and we both took home left-overs. The wines by the glass we each ordered were a generous pour. Our server, Ashlee, helped immensely in our enjoyment of the occasion. Dinner partner is a real "foodie," and asked several questions of our server. Even though it was a busy night, she took the time to answer in detail. We shared an appetizer of pate, and it was wonderful. The home-made bread was likewise delicious.
Delicious food, great presentation. Intimate, dining room and nice service. Will definitely go back.
Cute place. The food and service were excellent. I had the special, steak and scallops, my friend the pork tenderloin. Both were done perfectly. Nicely prepared and beautifully presented. The chocolate gateau was decadent. Coffee was individual French press, a nice touch. The service was attentive, just right. Overall a very delightful meal. The noise level was a little loud by the time we left, but to be expected in a small space.
Always a great selection on the menu, already planning another repeat dinner !
My wife loves the soup. I love the Tuna!
Always an outstanding meal with exceptional service. The chef is amazing!
Atmosphere was very nice - subdued. Could easily communicate with others in attendance. Service was excellent -attentive, but not overly so. My wife had the fried green tomato appetizer special and the flounder special both were exceptionally flavorful and delighted the palate. I had the steak and scallop special which was good, but not memorable. The escargot in my appetizer, while served in a tasty garlic sauce, were a little chewy.
Very small restaurant Clean and friendly. The service staff was excellent.
We are regular visitors to Fernandina Beach and love this fine restaurant. The food is always excellent as well as the attentive service. We will be back. Ext year.
Great food and great service! I'd definitely make a return visit - my highest compliment!
Delicious food, superb. Really nice place and excellent service.
We feel that this is one of the best resturants on Amelia Island. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It is always a pleasure to dine here.
Food is outstanding! Service was all you would want it to be - felt personalized and not rushed.
Very nice, as always!
We found Le Clos to be an excellent choice, with a nice, friendly atmosphere. Our server was excellent and made great recommendations.
Excellent food and service, a bit crowded for indoor seating and the checking in can be caotic with the very small entry point.
We absolutely loved our Valentine's Day date night at Le Clos. It was so romantic, all the food was impeccable, the service was so great. We will definitely return and definitely be recommending others there! We loved the pate, the escargot, the duck and the chocolate cake. Plus the French Pinot Noir they had was PHENOMENAL.
For over 20 years this has been my wife’s and my favorite restaurant on the island, and we have always been to Le Clos on Valentines Day. Unfortunately this year was different. Most of the staff was new and although they worked hard, the impression was one of mild chaos. We were not seated for over 20minutes after our confirmed reservation. Worse, the food was strictly mediocre, particularly the pasta which was bland and uninteresting. The menu has not changed appreciably in many years so the selections are becoming a bit tiresome. I’m sorry to write this review because we have truly loved this restaurant over more than two decades, but management must recognize the dining experience is no longer what it used to be.
Must preface these remarks by saying it was Valentine's Day and very busy. We did have a reservation but our table looked like an afterthought being placed right in front of the entrance way in the path of every waitress. It was cold and uncomfortable.
Service was slow, meals placed in front of the wrong individuals and the food not particularly hot (maybe that was from the cold of the front door).
Our first time there, did enjoy the Bordeaux but not eager to return.
We have been to LeClos a number of times and each time have enjoyed the food, setting and wine selections. The menu has remained fairly standard over the years but is decidedly French and is definitely the best French food on Amelia Island. There are new wines introduced as well as the excellent standbys. We had a Davis Bynum Pinot Noir from Russian River area of Sonoma, and it superbly complimented the tuna that two of our party had and the duck that I ordered. Prices are fair for the quality of food presented. We will definitely look forward to returning.
