Le Cirque Ratings and Reviews
We'd celebrated our 20th and 25th anniversary at Le Cirque and wanted to return to celebrate our 35th. Sadly, with Sirio not working due to health issues this restaurant has lost its luster. The staff really didn't care, the food was only OK and the experience was disappointing.
It was always going to be an experience, but expectations rarely line up with reality.
'Gentlemen are required to wear jackets' should be prefaced with 'unless you appear to be a new, rich kid, and wish to wear a baseball cap nd a t-shirt, our Jacket policy is a simple suggestion.....'
Add to that the Children's Christmas party being held in a private room off of the bar, with a DJ pumping out hits during our entire meal, we can say that the experience certainly proved that this gastronomic icon has left it's roots firmly behind, and is chasing the new dolliars.
It's a shame, because so few places can boast such a rich history and find themselves as a must-do destination.
Le Cirque has demonstrated that it is now not one of those places......
We had a terrible experience. It was extremely noisy, our waiter disappeared and we had to ask the bus boy for drinks and the check. The lamb was overcooked and just an overall disappointment. I would never return especially when there are so many better places.
Very disappointed, came two time before few years back and was amazing,
Overprice for what they offer , food not good , not well presented , service not good ,
I have dine in less expensive restaurants with better food and service , definitely not going back or recommend .
Looks like ownership and chef change , definitely not the restaurant I remember,
We love to visit Le Cirque around the holiday's as the restaurant is elegant and warm with impeccable service. The butternut squash soup, cesar salad, lobster ravioli, and duck fettucini carbonara were fabulous. My only gripe is, at the end of dinner this past Saturday, I asked the receptionist to please call us a cab. She seemed not to know that calling a can was possible. She suggested that we go out and flag one down. It was a cold windy night and if we wanted to hunt down a cab ourselves, we would have done so. I had to ask again: "Would you PLEASE call us a cab?" Fortunately, one of the managers overheard my request, interjected, and said that he'd flag one down for us, which he did. Other than that, it was a superb dining experience.
I must admit, I was truly disappointed with this meal and experience. I have dined at Le Cirque before and never had any issue before. Something has changed.
It took nearly 30 minutes for a waiter to even ask if we wanted anything to drink and another 30 minutes for the appetizers to arrive. One of the entrees was delivered incorrectly, side orders not delivered until we asked for them and our waiter neglected to check in as you would normally expect when you're dining at a fine restaurant. Coffee was brought about 15 minutes after desserts were brought...which is not the most optimal timing and after requesting it once without avail, a second request for the check took forever.
I am uncertain what has changed at Le Cirque, but it wasn't for the best. Disappointed.
I had dinner 11/8/17. We were promptly seated, water poured and promptly forgotten for the next 20 minutes. I had to chase down the waiter to come and take our order. I was surprised because the restaurant was rather empty.
The menu was tired and food taste was sub par. Tuna tartar tasted like lemon. I was expecting fresh tuna without an overbearing lemon flavor to cover up any fishiness. My lobster ravioli tasted like it was batch made the day before. Costco's lobster raviolli tasted fresher. My date didn't even eat half her duck entree.
The restaurant would be a great date restaurant (quite, romatic ambiance) if it weren't for the low service quality and poor food offering.
Too many little things in the decor for dust collecting. Need to tone it down and make it more classy as it should be.....!!!
We appreciate that there is sound reading materials, carpet/drapery, that helps with the space not being too noisy. Most restaurants could take lessons from LeCirque insofar as the noise factor!
Oh, by the way, the wait station is too close to the tables... Not good.
Special trip to New York. Dinner and show after. When looking at prices and paying that price, I want my first bite to be like "Wow". However with 3 entrees none seemed to fit the bill. Was truly disappointed in all the 3 entree flavors. The steak was terrible and tough, 3 scallops was about $40.00. I feel like we were ripped off.
My wife and I have been going to Le Cirque for years. Love the dining room decor and ambiance; the quality of the food varies. This time it was excellent. The caesar [which they are known for] was spectacular and the smoked salmon was great. My wife had an endive salad and the sliders.
Family owned and run. I had been to the one in Vegas before. However, we had eaten at Le Bernadine the night before, so its hard to compare. Le Cirque is a very old school. Very good, but old recipes and old school Italian. We had the Lobster Mac and it was amazing. Very reasonably priced. Most restaurants we dropped 1k. here it was 300 or so. Very good value. Frankly, I would say they need to raise their prices. Donald Trump had a 200k per plate dinner here just two nights before. Easy to get a reservation and not crowded at all.
I was horribly disappointed with my Le Cirque experience. I booked it for a high profile business meeting. The ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic, but one guest was served an almost entirely raw chicken breast. I can't believe this dish was allowed to leave the kitchen. I brought it to the attention of the staff who took it off the bill, but the chef never visited our table to apologize. It was not a mere oversight, the chicken was pinky and gummy. The VIP guests at the table were disappointed in this oversight as well. I will not book this restaurant for any future meetings.
FANTASTIC DINING EXPERIENCE!
I've always wanted to have dinner here and decided on a date night with the hubby. We ordered a 5 course tasting menu and everything was SUPERB! From lobster risotto, fois gras pate, escargot, breaded flounder, lamb, and desserts were served to perfection & delicious. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming. That staff was friendly and professional. I would HIGHLY recommend a FABULOUS time here!
I have been going to Le Cirque in NYC for twenty years and it was always consistently excellent This week I took clients there and was completely embarrassed The steak was tough and not cooked properly. The Caesar had over ripe lettuce. I finally had to order another entree for three of my guests who said the flounder was just ok The las Vegas Le Cirque has always been awesome!
Been to restaurant few years ago for lunch and was surprised to see the such small lunch crowd this time. We had Lychee martini and spicy cocktail and both were wonderfully made. Food was pretty decent with exception of my blackcod entree which was a little firm. Not sure what kind of blackcod they used but was so much drier than the ones I've tasted at other places. The appetizers of octopus and lobster salad as well as my husband's lobster risotto entree were really excellent, though.
Went for special occasion meal on a Tuesday night, and the staff spoiled us. Great cocktails at the bar before dinner. At dinner, highlights were Risotto and Fish and especially desserts. Since I saw other comments critical of the wine list, I thought I would point out that while options appear limited, everything on the list is quality including by the glass options, and most importantly the choices offer wonderful pairing with the menu items.
