   It is obvious that the food is prepared from "scratch" and the service is special.Large daily specials menu.

   When we made our reservation there was no note of a limited menu. Even their website only said that they offer a special menu on Valentines DAY. However, we made a reservation for February 13 and were never notified of the limited menu. There were only 3 items on the menu...two of which were red meat which we don't eat. So our only choice was duck. For both of us. That on top of the cheesy balloons and the paper napkins used to decorate the table. We were over it and left. Ended up at Andina which was amazing.

   Good unpretentious French place that feels like a neighborhood bistro in France. Very friendly service and great food, the French Onion Soup is the best I've had in Portland. Great for a date or nice evening out with the spouse.

   Wonderfully-prepared traditional French cuisine and run by an adorable French couple who may come out of the kitchen and chew the fat with you if they have the time or the mood strikes them. A lovely experience that feels more like sitting on a streetside cafe in Paris than Portland. Small, intimate setting and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I really need to go here more often.

   Fantastic experience at Le Bouchon. Reminds me of a typical Parisien bistro. The pommes salad was delish, and the steak frites was cooked to perfection. Good selection of French wines, and the servers were friendly and attentive. A great spot in Bucktown - this was my first trip, and I'll definitely be returning.

   Le Bouchon is a warm and friendly French Bistro style restaurant. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients and done to perfection. You feel as if you are in a nice French neighborhood Bistro, probably in Lyon. We tried three of the four dishes on the menu that night - Beef, Lamb and Duck. Each was delicious. The salad was just like the ones I have had in France, fresh and with a light vinaigrette dressing. Dessert is required. We tried the Creme Caramel, Chocolate Mousse and Tarte Tatin a la mode. Each was authentic, fresh and wonderful.

   Let Bouchon took is back to a recent trip to France. The quail was out of this world, and Natalie's service impeccable.

    We have eaten here before, but not in awhile. Having recently been in France for a couple of months, we were looking for a place near home to celebrate the country and its wonderful cuisine. While they made us feel very welcome and service set the right tone of attention but not intrusion, the dishes we chose (bisque d'homard, escargots, confit, and cassoulet) were bland and uninspired. There used to be obvious passion in the food that came from this kitchen; but their "get up and go" has apparently gotten up and gone. We hope they can turn it around and return to their former excellence.
