Le Bistro Tahoe
We had a great evening!
One of my favorite restaurants at Lake Tahoe. Always fantastic food and great service.
Love Le Bistro. They have a fabulous Prix Fixe menu. I decided to just go with the Potato Leek soup and the Filet Mignon since I've been on a diet. My husband had the duck which was "to die for." The best he's ever eaten. Eggplant appetizer and wedge salad. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy.
Been going to LeBistro for over 25 years and it is always the BEST. Will return the next time we are at Incline Village.
Had a very nice meal, service was very good, nice wine selections, full bar. David, the owner was very pleasant. Would recommend going.
Wonderful experience at a very affordable rate! We will see you soon.
Food and service was excellent! Friendly staff, very attentive, great wine selection too.
The dinner experience was exceptional as always. Normally the restuarant is overall quiet and intimate but tonight there were 2 ladies dinning near us that were very loud. One even facetimed her son during our dinner talking about a person who was attacked by a shark. This is why I made the noise level louder than normal. We love coming to Le Bistro and will be back
Beautiful little bistro with expertly prepared meals. After a delicious amuse-bouche, we started with fresh oysters accompanied with a flavorful mignonette. The scallops & filet were perfectly seasoned & prepared. Coq au vin was standard. The table bread appeared to be homemade and was fantastic. Dessert presentation with brûlée, macaron & truffle was lovely but flavors were just ok. Wish I’d been advised that brûlée was ginger flavored as I don’t care much for it. Nice wine list - only a few wines by the glass but sufficient to create your own pairing. In sum, a number of dishes were outstanding and others were nicely prepared. I’d definitely go back again.
We had a delicious leisurely meal here on October 17. The five course tasting menu was incredibly well presented with excellent service in a warm, welcoming setting. The lobster bisque en croute was the best that I have ever enjoyed. All of the baked goods were beyond great! Best variety of breads, all house baked and absolutely delicious! We look forward to our return visit!
This place was terrific. Everything was just great. I highly recommend.
Service was excellent. Celebrating a birthday. Food was very good and an excellent value. Wish I lived in Tahoe so it would be our go to place.
This is our old faithful go to place in Incline Village. It is the kind of comforting french restaurant with great wine list that is disappearing across the US. 5 course Prix fixe at $65 plus amuse bouche. The chef greeted us mid meal and gave us another experimental course of veg caviar which was smoother than the real thing. We had one guest who is lactose intolerant and the chef adjusted all dishes to suit the evening. The lobster bisque en crouté was exceptional.
Everything about Le Bistro is first rate. A small, intimate dining area, attentive staff and delicious food. For a place like this the prices were reasonable.
We’ve eaten here every year when we visit Incline. It has become one of our favorite restaurants anywhere! The food is consistently outstanding and we love the ambiance. The wine list is extensive with great choices from many countries. Compared to other fine dining option the area, I think it’s also a good value.
Chef David outdid himself — our dinner was perfect. From soup to crab salad to leek salad to lamb to cheese, every dish was delicious. And Liesl’s bread is out of this world. Can’t wait to go back next week.
Le Bistro never disappoints us. We go for special occasions not because it's too expensive but because it's environment leads to a quiet evening. The food is first-rate and the service: professional. A wide selection of wines and always a varied menu. It's never the same-o-same.
Loved it as per usual !!!
Had a wonderful experience had guests from Chicago and one was Vegan and other Gluten free. They fixed everything to there liking. They were thrilled with the with Le Bistro The Chef even came out to apologize he could not prepare something they asked about because it could not be made Vegan. over all experience was wonderful.
Great food and service. A wonderful find in Incline Village.
Le Bistro is the outstanding restaurant of Lake Tahoe. Our family has been dining there for years and has never been disappointed. David, Liesl and their staff are thoughtful and knowledgeable and we have never been disappointed.
Service was very slow and unattentive. We sat down at 6:30 and left at 9:30. Ordered well done filet and sent back three times. Chef came out of the kitchen and blamed me for ordering meat well done. The filet was not taken off the bill and there was no apology for the meal.
Nick &a Ellen Harris, this is a deliberate lie, and therefore violation of guidelines . I know they teach ethics at Harvard Nick! Our goal everyday is to make friends and satisfy customers. But you're not interested in any of that. There indeed was a sincere and regretful apology and no charge for the over cooked filet. How well done could it be? Why are you posting such childish nonsense?
Great food but definitely be prepared to spend 2 to 2 1/2 hours to eat
This is one of our favorite places, especially for special occasions. This one being our 51st Anniversary celebration. While we are happy that business was good, they were absolutely slammed this time with many customers. As a result the noise level was excessive, and both food preparation and service suffered, from course arrivals to final check. We felt for the staff.
Le Bistro was absolutely charming. Food was excellent, home baked bread delicious. The wine list is very extensive with a fine offering of Bordeaux and Burgundies. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and appreciated. I will certainly dine here again and strongly recommend it.
Incline jewel. Best dining experience in town. We highly recommend this special spot for gourmet dining.
We were celebrating a birthday. The service was perfect. The food was amazing. Highly recommend making a reservation for a special dinner.
AMAZING!!! Great food, great chef (changes it up and makes great food exciting), great service (staff is so gracious), sat outside with the lights and nature!
We had the prix fixe meal: the soup, appetizers, salads were excellent, beautifully plated. Regarding main courses: one of our party had filet minon which was cooked exactly to order (medium rare) and delicious. The coq au vin was quite bland, lacked flavor and not up to par with the earlier courses. The coquilles St. Jacques was very good. The chef's added bonus of a small basket of puffed potato wedges was delightful. Dessert choices were wonderful: the small bites of dessert selection were delicious and an excellent conclusion to the meal, as was the small cheese plate accompanied by thin apple slices.
Ambiance is wonderful at this restaurant! Service was superb! Would go again, particularly for a special occasion, but would skip the coq au vin.
We love this place andhave for many years back to the original owners. This time, the food was as good as ever and as we have grown to expect.
The let down was the service. We have never had poor service in our many times eating here so it was a surprise, something we never expected. I don't know if it was due to their outside seating, it didn't seem like they were too busy. It took rather long to get our main course and took forever to get our bill.
Another service item that started our evening off on the wrong foot was the people at the table next to us came in and were seated after us yet they received everything from drinks to dessert before us. received menus before us and ordered before us...not good.
Hi Timothy, I'm sorry the table next to you got menus, drinks, ordered ahead of you - that is an uncharacteristic oversight on our part and I'll discuss it with my staff, including getting the bill to the table more promptly. Chef David said a couple tables ate more quickly/ordered fewer items so their entrees were due and pushed yours back. Timing everything right is something we work so hard on, so please know we take your comments to heart, and we'll continue to improve! Regards, Liesl
We travel to Tahoe one to two times a year and just discovered this gem! The food and service was excellent. The wine by the glass could be more creative. I recall only one Chardonnay that was on the weak side. Chardonnay is a popular wine and there could be better, by-the-glass options. That's constructive feedback, not a compliant. Wonderful restaurant. We'll make it a definite stop on future trips. BTW, we stay at the Welk Resort in Northstar, so from there it is a trip...but well worth it.
This is a fantastic little restaurant in Incline Village. The staff, everyone, was kind and personable. The food was soo delicious!! We will be back very soon.
Very cozy French restaurant with a knowledgeable sommelier. We had chosen a particular wine, but asked about others at that price point. She recommended another on the menu for less. Very few French restaurants still serve Coq au Vin, so another treat. Waitstaff were very friendly and eager to please. All in all, a very pleasant evening.
Always a great meal, and tonight was no exception to the rule.
As always the food never disappoints. Hats off to the chef who know how to prepare real French food. My husband especially loves the escargots at Le Bistro! I had the coquilles St. Jacques which were cooked to perfection. Liesl's bread and desserts are to die for. If you are in Incline Village, I highly recommend you make a reservation at this quaint and great restaurant.
Le bistro has been my favorite special occasion restaurant for many years. My return visit this summer lived up to my expectations, and then some. Lobster soup is worth the extra money, and duck breast was best I’ve had anywhere. My guest ordered the pre- fix menu. We shared some of the items and I added another appetizer and salad. Plenty of food for two people. This meal was a highlight of our trip to Tahoe.
The beat meal - year after year. Ate here 2 nights in a row this trip up- no place better.
Chef David does a great job
