As a magazine editor I have to do double-duty every time I leave the office. Going to Le Bilboquet allows me to meet up with important contributors over lunch, but also lets me bump into a dozen great people while I'm there. Good crowd, wonderful food, excellent service.

We enjoyed brunch with two of our children. The steak tartare, butternut squash soup and apple tart dessert were delicious. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely.

Cajun chicken was awesome and the service was incredible. I was in town on business dining alone and they treated me like I was their sister. A lot of respect and pleasantries making me feel happy and comfortable, and you don’t always get that as a female solo diner! Merci!

The ambiance is really good, to see and go be seeing, chic place, beautiful people.food it’s ok. Salads are the best, and the tartare steak. The best is the place, and service is excellent. Jonás our waiter did his work impeccable.
We will go back.

Great place to people watch, nice ambiance just a little on the loud side, great service. I just wasn’t thrilled with my food. Branzino was not very flavorful and too fishy for my taste.

Our waitress misquoted the price on a bottle of Ruinart champagne. Said it was $105 and charged $250 on the bill!!! We would not have ordered it at a that price. When questioned she said the manager won’t let her take it off the bill. Then the coat check girl brought me someone else’s coat! I won’t be returning to this restaurant.

This was an extremely disappointing experience. We were looking forward to celebrating our anniversary at a fine French restaurant but the noise level ruined the whole evening. Shortly after we sat down, the restaurant started blaring euro-style rock music at a decibel level that made it almost impossible to hear my wife, let alone understand our waiter. The quality of the food was fine but the noise level made it impossible to enjoy our meal. We were so distressed that we could not get out of there fast enough - no coffee or dessert or even a second glass of wine. This is not what one should expect of a high-end French restaurant on Manhattan’s upper east side. If you are looking for a quiet French bistro with good food and ambience, this is not for you. Don’t waste your money or your time.

We went for a special date night, and the food was amazing! The atmosphere was perfect, including the background music, but by far the most impressive element of the evening was the spectacular service. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

excellent food and interesting menu. When we arrived at 7:30 it was quiet enough that four people could have a conversation. By 9 there was a group of 20 young women at a long table next to us so the noise level increased but it was manageable. Service was excellent and the place had good vibes; lots of younger people.Would definitely return

High profile bistro, that was wonderful. Staff is very accommodating and made you feel they wanted you to enjoy being there. Food was excellent. Wine selections by the glass were fine, though the list is pricey.

Service was first very rushed. When we said we needed some time to relax and spend some time together chatting the waitress took the hint.
Then all was well until we asked for the check which took too long to come.
I happen to like this restaurant very much and will go back but this time the service was spotty.

En grande partie grâce à la gentillesse, au dynamisme et à la courtoisie de David qui a fait toute la différence!
Nous retournerons sans doute lors de notre prochain séjour à NY.

Incredibly gracious hostess. Beautiful open bright room with a Parisian feeling. Well-prepared, fairly standard bistro fare but killer desserts. A bit pricey but cheaper than flying to Paris for lunch. Really quite enjoyable.

The restaurant was quieter than usual
The Cajun Chicken was recommended by our waitress
The food arrived very rapidly , the chicken was ore cooked with a sauce poured over the dish
The steak tartare was good .

The wine list by the bottle starts at $95

I think Bilboquet should have closed for the holidays rather than lowering their standards
I first ate in the original Bilboquet and also had a very
good lunch here a few months ago

As I chose the restaurant for my one night in NY I was extra disappointed

Shame

This places is awful, first they didn’t offer the desert menu because they want us go after being there 1 hour and 30 minutes. When we asked for desert and coffee the waiter came and told us the manager said that he needs the table in 10 minutes we just ask for the check. I didn’t complain because I don’t really plan to go back I normally go to Michelin starred restaurants, Le Bilboquet is a glorified diner and I don’t recommend this restaurant.
