Our table by the desk was somewhat busy and almost not quite "in" the restaurant . Despite many waiters etc it took considerable time to get our champagne served to the point that we ended up not ordering a white wine with our main as we still had champagne. The deserts were the highlight of the day and the recommended wine match was sensational. The quiet ambience of the restaurant was somewhat lost by the sheer number of staff moving around. Staff generally very attentive, but formal and not engaging, even when given the opportunity. That might be a NYC thing but not our reference. Overall a great thing to do in NYC.

We travelled to New York to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and had the pleasure of going to Le Bernadin for our anniversary meal. We had booked ahead from the UK as we both love fish and seafood. The whole experience was magical ! The food was spectacular and the service was the best we have ever experienced. We were treated to a personalised anniversary dessert which was a lovely surprise . We will never forget the whole dining experience which made our anniversary so very special. Thank you Le Bernadin - we are still a little bit in love with you x

Made reservations 3 weeks in advance and they only had one opening 15 minutes before they closed the doors on a Saturday of Memorial weekend. This was my first ever 3 Michelin star restaurant, only been to single stars all over. Don't bother with Jean-Georges 3 Michelin star that was a sad experience that I wouldn't like to repeat. The place took our breath away as it was incredible in every way shape and form. The server Patrick was on the ball, explaining everything in finite detail on the items coming out. We went for the chef's tasting menu. We had 9 items in total not including the bread. Each and every item was prepared with the absolute most care and perfection. Item after item were impressively amazing. The last 3 dessert items ended the most perfect meal that one could ever ask for. Will for sure come back next time I am in NYC.

Our busboy was quite charming, our waiter on the other hand had way too much attitude. Enough to make it a rather unpleasant. Food was fine, but definitely not worth it.

I am happy that the restaurant maintained their excellent service, romantic ambiance, and delicious fresh food! This is the place to be to celebrate special occasions - you'll never be disappointed. It was amazing to see the servers work as a team with precision.

Once again an extremely satisfying dining experience. Service impeccable. Food marvelous. Plan on returning again. Lunch is mellower than dinner and better value!

This, I think will have been the most rewarding dining experience in my life, until the next time I travel to New York and eat at this wonderful restaurant again. This feeling began as we arrived at Le Bernardin: our welcome at the door was heartfelt and friendly; we were guided to our table right away, through an elegant room, beautiful, stunningly so, from the large, iconic mural of an ocean (close up) to the place settings at our table. (The plate had a wide rim decoration of variously sized bubbles - champagne or from the surging of the ocean waves in the painting?) At Le Bernardin the service personnel are numerous (four sommeliers by my count), and uniformly friendly, attentive and helpful, without a hint of the obsequious. All this provides a setting to match Le Bernardin's motto: “The Fish is the Star of the Plate". There are many dishes, each temptingly described, to choose from on the prix fixe menu, so it was difficult to choose. But we did, and each course was delicious, very flavorful, beyond my expectation. The salmon rilletes, served as an amuse bouche, was unexpected, luxurious and delicious. I picked Milk Dark Chocolate for dessert: a globe of milk chocolate mousse on a bed of candied peanuts, dark chocolate spirals (I think), dark chocolate sauce (I think) poured over. It looked rather like a chocolate octopus, deconstructed! Really a wonderful experience, start to finish.

This was our second visit to Le Bernardin and it was absolutely exceptional, food, service, everything, I highly reccomend the sole, the up charge is totally worth it!!!

This was the best meal I've ever experienced. Service was excellent. I just wish they would make more of an effort to hire both male and female servers. Seeing that more than 90% of employees front of house were white males, I can only imagine how difficult it must be for a woman to work in the kitchen. The overt discrimination left a bad after taste.

The execution was perfect but the food and service was soulless. Nothing stood out as extraordinary. Nothing bold. After all these years they are just going through the motions. I find it insulting that the food was not seasonal either. No asparagus, peas, watercress. Shaved cauliflower in May? Come on NYC restaurants. I am a chef and business owner so I pay attention to season and spirit. I felt like it was the "emperor's new clothes". So disappointing. The wine was good though.
