The server was great. We walked in and they had no record of our reservation not that it mattered because it was not crowded. My and my boyfriend's lobster was overcooked. The dipping butter set up was nice though. My steak was supposed to be medium but was too seared on top not tasty and a bit untenderized. My bf steak albeit the same tasted completely different than mine. The scallops appetizer and the bread was the saving grace not to give it a lower rating. The chocolate cake was so HUGE and very dry and not delicious at all. We decided to wrap it and lost it in the casino but it was no loss really. LBV is way overpriced for the quality of what you get. Comparing it to fine dining restaurants in Pittsburgh there is plenty of room for improvement and they need to knock their price down until they become better chefs. I did not complain at all because I figure it is what it is. Just because it's not up to my high standards doesn't make it necessarily bad just not as good as it should be.
Everything was perfect from the vibe of the restaurant, our server Katie, appetizers, wine, entrees and dessert.
We always enjoy our meal at LBV. There 2 things that could make it better. Don't make us have to walk through smoking to get to it. Have it's own restroom, or a way to get to the restroom without having to walk through the smoke.
Everyone was fantastic. Seating was prompt. Our waitress, Rachel was fantastic. And the food was wonderful. LBV Steakhouse is a well oiled machine. I would recommend it to everyone. Management should be very happy with the staff.
My filet with bone in was not worth $60! It wasn't any better than regular filets at Longhorn. The waiter claimed it would be a lot better but did not tell us the price. I was going to order the regular filet. Also the baked potato was not worth $6! or any vegetable for that price. It was our 27th anniversary dinner so we expected to spend more. Not that much!
The Cosmopolitan was great---even the price! Pretty surroundings.
service was great, the food so so, with the exception of the lobster bisque and the shrimp cocktail which were both fantastic. dinner for two, with cocktails, and a moderately priced bottle of wine came with tip to 200.00 and some change so if not being comped beware of this.
Nice place with good service. The traffic was terrible getting there and we were a few minutes late, but they held our reservation! My steak was a nice cut, but very pepper-y. Asparagus was so small but mashed potatoes were good!
Very disappointed in meal. Steak was salty and had too much fat in it. The pasta had a fishy smell to it, it was in maranara sauce.
Was fine. Food great!
Corina did a fantastic job. She made the experience even more enjoyable by recommending some delicious items and being a very personable server. Overall the food and ambience were good, but the service was even better.
Food was edible, not up to expectations . Wine selection was good and fairly priced. Would not go back
We eat there typically once a month and it is the best meal my husband and I have, we pick to eat there over anywhere else in Erie.
Food and service is always exceptional.
The best steakhouse in Erie. It is a la carte but you can customize your meal especially if you are watching your intake. It is best to make a reservation on the weekend. Ask for Josh as your server. He is the best.
I love eating at LBV. We would go more often if you didn't have to walk through the smoke to get to it. I would also appreciate it more if they had their own restrooms. Again, having to walk through the smoke makes me sick. The food and service are terrific.
SUPER!!!! SCALLOPS OUT OF THIS WORLD. A+.........
BEST IN A LONG TIME
Food was very good. Waiter excellent and tiramisu was superb.
First time visit to LBV...reservation was for 5:00pm, arrived at 4:45pm, doors were opened so we entered. Employee sitting at bar responded by saying the restaurant is not open until 5:00pm. We went back out to the casino to wait. Reservation was as stated and we were seated. Server (Katie C) was prompt and friendly and let us know the daily features. Featured Surf/Turf ordered by my boyfriend was good. Unfortunately, my entree, the Braised Ox Tail was inedible. When you see braised to describe a meat entree the expectation would be "fall off the bone" tender. I received 3 pieces of bone and fat. The meat I did find was so tough, it was hard to chew. It was way over-sauced...I did not even realize mashed potatoes came with it until I started to pick around the plate. Needless to say, I did not attempt or continue to eat what was in front of me. When the server returned to inquire about the meal and dessert, she could see that I did not touch my plate. She did apologize and ask if there was something else she could get for me from the menu. I declined. Katie did inform me that the entree was removed from my bill.
Chris and Phil keep us coming back!
We enjoy our meals and service
Everytime I eat at LBV the service is amazing. The whole staff are very personable and go above and beyond.
The server was one of the best and friendliest people you will ever have the experience to meet! She was fantastic
We got up and left- unfortunately after we were seated, we waited 15 minutes and no one but the fellow who poured us water came over to our table. We were ok until we witnessed a gal across from us trying to flag down waiter also- she was there before us, so we took it as a bad sign.
Dinner was delicious, and our server Phil was outstanding! We will be back!!
We order the filet dinners I had the petite n my husband had the larger one asked for medium it was more well done not pink in the center my husband’s was not tender was hard to cut we have ordered before an the filets would melt in your mouth. The loaded potatoes were cold needless to say the dinner was not as we have had before. With this happening we were very disappointed
i purchased the small filet for $28.00 it was poorly prepared to well done
The overall experience was great. Food was good and in generous portions. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Other wait staff also stopped by our table to fill our water and ask how everything was. Overall it was a great meal.
The restaurant is nice, even if you have to walk through a smoky casino to get to it. Our service was great. The stakes were good, and the side dishes were very good. The calamari appetizer was okay. My wedge salad was very good.
Steaks were over cooked. Service was slow & no compensation for anything.
Wonderful food and amazing service!!! Come here as often as my husband is in town!!
Great food, wonderful ambiance. We enjoyed ourselves.
This restaurant serves very nice meals but the seating isn’t that comfortable and having to walk through a casino smoking area to get to it didn’t appeal to me. I am also not a fan of everything being ala carte rather than having a side included with the entree.
The service was not great however I don't think it was the servers fault. I think she was the only waitress working. Bad on the restaurants part not the waitress.
We were seated promptly and our server was prompt courteous knowledgeable and professional. She knew the menu and exactly how to explain how our meals would be prepared.
Great experience! We stopped in to eat before we headed to a show downtown. Our server, Melanee M was perfect. She put a smile on our faces from the moment she came over to sending us off with well wishes. I read another review about waiting a long time, wasn't the case for us, nor did I see it with any of the other groups eating there. Timing was perfect between sitting, bread, wine, starters and main dish. Just as we finished one part, Melanee was there with the next. Food was all perfect. The wife and I both had a chicken dish and they both came out great. Will be back many more times :) Thank you all for an exceptional experience!
Better menu than the last time we were here. Prices seem more reasonable too. We will come back for racing season.
It seems the restaurant does not know what it wants to be a steakhouse or pasta house. The food is delicious and portions are generous. They need to have an entrance that doesn’t have you walk through a smoke filled room of sweat pants wearing, chain smoking folks. I guess the casino isn’t sure of what clientele they want either
The 16oz ribeye was great. My wife loved her lobster tail. excellent dinner!
This was my first time at this restaurant and it is now my favorite steakhouse. From just walking in the door and seeing how it was decorated, the furniture they used, the music playing, the dark & quiet ambience was perfect for my birthday dinner. Our waitress was so great. She was great at checking in on us, going over the specials and making us our sangrias. The food was absolutely amazing!! From the 4 types of bread samplings, to the boom boom shrimp, French onion soup to my surf and turf...wow. The cooks really know what they are doing and loved every single item. And then the waitress giving me a surprise dessert for my birthday...sold!! Would highly recommend this place to everyone.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We were seated immediately and couldn't have asked for a better dinner. The staff were all very nice and eager to see that we had everything we needed.
Our second time at the LBV. We spent time at the casino, and our friends met up with us at 6:00. Very convenient. They live in the area. Great atmosphere....very old school with the wood paneling. Diners of a 'certain age' appreciate the Sinatra music. Friendly and experienced staff and server. Generally the food was good. The steaks our friends had were perfect. The Caesar's salad was disappointing however....fairly tasteless. Pasta not piping hot but good. Overall pretty good with those exceptions. They also recognized the 80th birthday celebration of our friend. Nice touch with party hat, and discount on dessert. Great desserts.
