Amazing location, beautiful space and great cuisine!
Food was not that great and it was just one waiter taking the orders and bringing the food and check for all the tables. It was very slow and frustrating. We won’t go back.
Food and ambiance were great! Sat on the back patio and loved the garden vibes out there. Service was excellent and the food was delicious! Highly recommend !
Food was for the most part good and Staff was friendly but the over all experience was dismal.
Not sure if the waitress didn't know how to course the meals and fire them off in a specific order or the kitchen is just that bad. Either way you can't charge 20% gratuity if you're not going to provide above average service.
Chicken and waffles came out before the Meze? made no sense.
The espresso martinis looked like muddy water with dirt. (coffee grinds)
Being a previous mixologist in fine dining establishment I was shocked that the drink got passed the head bartender, manager, and anyone else that saw that drink before it touched the table.
After reading some previous reviews it looks like you have not fixed the problem. Hopefully this review will get you back on track.
You guys have a great concept but need to work communication between floor and kitchen and provide a top notch experience before slapping on 20% on the bill.
I feel in love with the restaurant. The vibe, the food and the service were outstanding. Will definitely come back!
Delicious food and cocktails, ambiance is great and perfect for an enjoyable dinner. Service was impeccable, friendly and hardworking staff make it a great experience. Really enjoyed Layla!
One of the best restaurants I ve been
Great food, wonderful ambience!
The place is sexy and sophisticated yet relaxed. Love it. Everyone is friendly, food and ambience were wonderful.
Brunch with my friends! Nice ambient, food was delicious! Well recommend
Really surprised by this place! Beautiful ambience and great food!
The most amazing dining experience. The venue is beyond beautiful and the food is outstanding.
The food is always tasty and well prepared. I wish the menu was more extensive. The portions vs. the price are very small.
Super lovely. The entire staff is amazing and well put together. Love the whole ambiance this place gave on a Thursday night and was pretty next to the river. Didn’t experience a problem with bugs at all which was amazing! The braised lamb was a great along with our cocktails!
Love the food and the ambience. Service was a a bit slow but still great. My only negative is the drinks, I had two drinks. The two feathers and the sangria. It was too strong and the taste was bad. Had to leave it and it cost me $16.
Not satisfied with this restaurant experience! I want to ask for nice seating section to take some nice pictures for social media and got rejected because is for larger group which I understand, but there is not that many people in restaurants and it’s pretty slow at that time. Also, food portions are small and pretty pricey for that small portion of food!
Terrible food, service, and prices. Our dinner came on top of our appetizers with nothing tasting well, not even the most basic salad. In addition, the smoke from the fire lit cheese dish that other tables ordered was floating over to our table and became nauseating. Save your time and money.
I have been to Layla for lunch, Sunday brunch and dinner several times, and the experience never disappoints! The staff is attentive, genuine and helpful. Our server Jonas was amazing! We each had a couple glasses of the Cabernet Sauvignon as we sat on the terrace because it was so lovely out. We shared the fattoush salad (recommended by Jonas), grilled octopus and cauliflower. All delicious, filling, fresh and not too heavy (which can be a downfall for Mediterranean food sometimes). As my friend remarked, “You can tell it’s all made with love”. The crowd and ambiance were gorgeous as always. After dinner we went up to rooftop for a fabulous Poetry Night event - there’s nothing like it in South Beach! And they do it every month.
Thank you so much for dining with us at Layla. We're so glad you enjoyed your experience. We really appreciate the positive review and can't wait to see you in our dining room soon. Will definitely let Jonas know to keep up the good work! Our Poetry night is every third Thursday of the month we hope to see you there next time. Sincerely, Lauren Perez, Guest Relations, Layla Miami Beach
Honestly the location is beautiful but the food was so incredibly bland for having so many spices.
The restaurant and ambiance are cute. came here for date night and it was a good choice for that type of scenario its quiet and romantic. pros and cons!
1- the service was great. everyone is super nice and attentive. the staff really were so amazing. i would say they make this place.
2- the food was yummy! every dish we ordered was tasty.
There were a couple of things that turned me off:
1- every single dish we ordered came out in the first 15 minutes of us being there. We didnt even have our cocktails yet. and i hate when EVERYTHING comes out at once. i mean they clearly didnt even cook the chicken there wasnt enough time so i guess it was pre made. i personally cant stand this type of situation. it needs to be timed better/slower. it makes you feel like they want you to leave asap.
2- the prices are outrageous for what this place is. its a small little cozy restaurant. nothign fancy. We each had 2 drinks and about 4 items from the menu we had salad, chicken, octupus and muhammara and paid $230. for the same price, you can go to a fancy restaurant like Carbone. i dont think this place should be priced the same as a super fancy place.
for these 2 reasons, i wouldnt come back nor would i recommend.
Discovered this Miami Beach gem on a referral from a friend. Service was timely and quick; food was delicious and well prepared. Cocktails were cleverly presented. Outside area is lovely (by waterway) but bring your mosquito spray! Inside floors covered with Turkish rugs. Decor is upscale and understated. Prices were in line with other Miami restaurants and food was plentiful for the dollar spent.
The food was pretty good but the portions were waaay too small for those prices.
Out of this world experience. Everything was excellent. Beautifully designed. Seating is spaced very well for private conversation. Music is ambient. Hard to chose what not to get on a varied menu. The food was outstanding. Servers were friendly and efficient. Highly recommended Layla
I love middleastern food so this was delish. Outdoor area is exquisite. Highly recommend
Everything was spot on- food, decor, service and vibe. Music was a little loud inside but once mentioned it was addressed and speakers shifted. DJ was great as well. Been for dinner and brunch and both outstanding fresh food
Dining here for our first time was most enjoyable. My husband and our couple friends liked the interiors and the corner round table I requested. Our waiter, Jonas, was very attentive and gave us good recommendations. We all decide to try their Miami Spice dinner menu since it was the last night it was offered. The cocktails and wine we ordered was welcoming. The Babagnoush, mushroom medley & tabouleh salad as our starters were all well seasoned. The main entrees grilled chicken & lamb was also generously portioned, tender and flavorful. For dessert we had the baklava and date nut pudding, both rather too sweet and generously portioned as well. Overall we really liked Layla and plan to return.
The food was very good and the service was very good also.
Really great restaurant, food was delicious!
Food was great the drinks not so much. I don’t think the bartender knew how to make a drink.
The venue is very nice and the food was good!
We returned for the first time since opening week (which was an excellent experience) and were a bit disappointed. It did not live up to the original experience unfortunately. I don’t think we will be returning. Last night’s dinner was mediocre at best. Hopefully this former gem returns to its original standards.
I was not prepared for how good the food was going to be. They were traditional dishes like falafel & lamb but the things that accompanied it and blended the flavors were amazing. The dipping tahini sauce was so good and spicy. The lamb was the best lamb I have ever had so tender it was falling apart with that tart from the sauce and feta. It was food I dream about later.
The ambiance and the staff is really nice as well.
The food and drinks are delicious and the setting was very nice. Not typical South Beach. Worth it!
Very pretty setting both inside and outside by the canal. Very good drinks. The flaming saganaki was so good we ordered 2.
Amazing food. Lamb is to die for.
I Love this place
Service is exceptional, the entire menu is amazing. Enjoyed every bite. Cocktails are delicious!
