Love this place!!!
The food and ambiance are really great. And justify another visit. But the service needs some adjustment... miscommunication among the waiters, too much pressure,... but it is clear that they are on top of it!
Service slow and inattentive
Everything before sitting at the table and eating was a disaster. I cannot explain how incredibly rude the hostess was - both to guests of my party and me as the party host. There was unexpected rain that evening, so the restaurant moved everyone inside but I was not contacted about the change as I had initially requested an outdoor setting. I had to call the restaurant myself and be told by the hostess that our reserved table was in use by another party and she had no clue when it would be ready for us. I had to call an additional time and negotiate in person to finally get service. Food was good but does not make up for the inconvenience of the experience. I will mention the owner of restaurant was kind and tried his best to accommodate us despite the rough start - offering complimentary round of drinks and desserts. Would not recommend the desserts though, they were inedible and strange. Overall a weird and chaotic experience. Seems like the staff needs more training, or at least a new hostess that is sympathetic to the concerns of its patrons.
The food was really remarkable! And the staff was so kind. I’ll 100% go back :)
The entire restaurant staff were amazing and welcoming!
This restaurant checked off all the boxes. The service the appetizers, main courses we tried the steak and the chicken (forgot the exact names). The drinks are a little pricey but the wine selection is nice. Will definitely go back soon.
We had an amazing time at Layla. We felt very welcomed by the team and the recommended dishes (muhammara, octopus) were beyond delicious. The place had a nice and relaxing vibe and the lady who attended our table was very kind (sorry we don't know the name but it was a lady with red hair). Layla made our anniversary dinner extra special (and thanks for the drinks on the house)! Definitely a recomend!
Amazing ambiance, food and service. A great new addition to the Miami restaurant scene.
Thank you so much for dining with us at Layla! We're so glad you enjoyed your experience. We really appreciate the positive review and look forward to seeing you in your dining room soon. Sincerely, Alexandra Klumpp Manager of Culture & Marketing, Layla Miami Beach
My wife and I went with our 3 month old baby girl and she slept like a baby lol, yes it was comfortable and not crazily loud. The food was fantastic. The portions were enough to try several and not feel stuffed. However the drinks, after first sip they had my wife and I planning to return. Overall a great experience.
Arrived 20 minutes late. Was hoping to have outdoor seating. But the hostess said. Was no available even know they were lots of empty tables outdoors ! She was not the friendlys ! The waiter’ Jose Jimenez from Venezuela !! Was amazing! He knows exactly what it is to be a perfect server 🙌🏻!! But. Devin schutte the manager was adorable!! He found out it was my birthday coming up ! And sent me a candle cake ! He was so outgoing!! Great manager! He made my night!
Food needs improvement. Portion size and presentation is amateur. Service is very slow. Main dining room has an acoustic problem. I’m sure if you sat outside by the river it might be way more palatable. Good luck on the turnaround.
Amazing vibes! Food was incredible. Will be back
Another typical south beach robbery. The hummus and the saganaki were fantastic. Other than that, here we go......
Perhaps they just need to dust off from the pandemic but I don’t need or want to go back here. Aside from the food which I will get to in a second, I saw a waiters assistant reach in and adjust bread in a bread basket and then bring that basket to table for the guest to eat and several service staff touching glasses right on the lip. I mean at this point in time when sanitary hygiene should be number 1, this place didn’t give a s*%t about their guests. We didn’t even stay for entrees based on this. They need some serious coaching in this area.
The food was equally terrible aside from the items previously mentioned. The harissa tuna was not edible, the $6 zataar pita was so hard and chewy I couldn’t eat it but was still charged for it. And even though we ordered the hummus they still charge for the bread to eat it with. And they charge you for extra bread if you want more. So if you don’t buy the bread too you have to eat it on a spoon. I have never never been to a Mediterranean restaurant where they charge for the bread to eat the dips. The falafel was mushy and served over a weird tomato ragu style sauce. The tahini was really good that I asked for on the side to dip it in. We wanted to order the chicken shwarma which looked great actually but after all the fingers everywhere it just got weird. I would finally like to mention that $20 for a half of a martini is laughable, even on the beach. I mean at least be somewhat decent and fill er up man.
The manager was nice and a newer server they hired was helpful. The noise level was incredibly loud and we couldn’t even hear each other. I think we will just go to Houston’s every time we go out. It’s better and just consistent. In any case, $155 later for a few drinks and hummus and some cheese and I feel completely ripped off.
Josie attended us amazing and gave us a amazing service
Javier the Manager gave us a great experience at and gave us the best service as well
Sabores de Medio Oriente muy bien logrados
Muy buenas opciones veganas
I had greater expectations for this place. Overall, we had a good experience, but it did not wowed me.
The menu is quite small, we ordered the Roasted cauliflower as appetizer, that was brought up to the table with the main meal - no cool. It was delicious but heavily spiced, which I can handle, but beware if you can't.
I ordered the Tuna Harissa as main dish, but it was brought to me as appetizer, another misstep from the server.
My friend ordered the lamb, which was fantastic, tender, deliciously seasoned, thumbs up!
The main dishes does not come w/ any side dish, not cool. We ordered the Tabbouleh, not impressed.
Because we were celebrating my friend's birthday, they offered us two small desserts on the house, which was nice.
Overall, I though they should improve a bit on the presentation and on service as well. The place itself was quite charming, the decor, the music, very intimate, nice for a date night.
Really loved the location, decor and vibe of Layla. The food was excellent and our server, Valentina, was fabulous. The food came out of the kitchen quite slowly but I think this is because the restaurant had only been open 4 days. I think they were still working out the kinks. Managers were onsite and available to help throughout. I would definitely recommend and go back again. Would be great if they could add valet parking.
Very attentive waiters and staff. Food and drinkers were very good. For dessert I had the baklava and I do not recommend it at all. It was very plain and the presentation/value was not good. I would definitely go back for the food but the dessert menu needs some work.
Great new restaurant in the Kayak Miami Beach hotel. It’s a Mediterranean vibe with rattan furniture, lots of lush plants, and cool music. We sat outside overlooking a canal. Service was attentive and drinks were simply amazing. Try the summer night. Food is mainly lite bites which are good because we were going out afterwards. We loved the hummus, babaganoush, octopus, and lamb. We didn’t try dessert. Beautiful fun crowd too. We heard there is a secret upstairs bar but we didn’t try it. Will definiybe back.
The most attentive service and delicious food and drinks. Will be returning for sure!!!
Service was extremely attentive, but the main courses lacked flavor and were not authentic. My husband’s “shawarma chicken” tasted like garlic baked chicken; the meat was cooked to perfection, but not well-seasoned or traditional. It is definitely a “modern, Middle Eastern Inspired” restaurant, but it would be more helpful and less disappointing if the menu reflected this by naming modern dishes separate from their “inspiration.” However, ambience is beautiful and perfect for date nights.
Third time in as many weeks. The food is exceptional, the vibe relaxed, the staff lovely. Will definitely be back!
Beautiful atmosphere. Food was good, not great. But the service was awful.
My friends and I feel mixed feelings about Layla. There is so much potential here and we understand they just opened so there are some things they can improve on. For instance, we ordered a bottle of wine and cocktails and these took a while to get to us. Then, there was a hostess who rudely said she needed one of our chairs for another table, even though one of us would have nowhere to sit. Besides that, the service from the manager, Javier, was up to par and his appetizer recommendations like the hummus and carrots that were definitely on point! The outdoor part of the venue is in a cute little area by the canal and has adorable lighting excellent for a girls get together or date night!
wow! super impressed. great vibe and food was outstanding.
We had excellent service and great food in cool and welcoming ambiance.
So many delicious dishes to choose from. Incredible service and ambiance. We will be back soon!
Everything about Layla was so warm and welcoming while simutaneously being new and exciting! The ambiance was enchanting, the food was delicious from the appetizers to the deserts, and the service was impeccable. We ordered every spread with pita bread, the octopus, the lamb shoulder, chicken, branzino, and the chocolate mousse for dessert. I can't recall our waitor's name but he was so sweet, and helpful with everything from the food to the cocktails! I forgot the name of which cocktail I was drinking but it was Mezcal tequila and watermelon juice, etc and delicious!!! Probably one of my favorite cocktails ever! Overall 10/10
Great decor, ambiance, friendly staff, food is good! Cute for a date night, or to take friends! Overall a really good experience.
And it was only day 4 in operation. They nailed it! Cant wait to return
Food was absolutely delicious and service was impeccable!
Beautiful restaurant! Excellent food! Great vibe! Parking was convenient.
Service was impeccable! Every single plate had the perfect temp. Can't wait to return!
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! I love the food, service was excellent and i had such a great time there!
They also had many vegetarian options what i loved!
Cant wait to be back.
Our server was excellent and very personable. The food was stellar and better than expected—a great treat.
Awesome new spot on South Beach. As soon as we walked into the hotel (immediately impressed with the ambiance, decor, cool bar setting, and music) we were greeted kindly and asked how we could be helped. We were directed to check in at the restaurant which has a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, and the best part is that the indoor seating areal booth-style so they are "distanced" no matter what! The outdoor area is gorgeous.
The service from every member was amazing and we even got to speak with chef John to tell him how amazing the food was. On that note...wow. It's hard to find authentic tasting Mediterranean dishes sometimes but if you want a REAL hummus come here. And don't forget the Babaganoush...actually just get EVERY dip. Like, seriously. And order it with the Za'atar Manoushe to dip in it. I could live off just this combo. Also love that they have many natural / biodynamic selections on the wine menu.
If you're looking for an AWESOME "cool vibe" date spot, or a dinner with friends to impress, come here. Looking forward to coming back!
