Law Society of Ontario
Both the prix fixe menu and the daily menu, which includes a mouth-watering selection of soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees, draw on local, seasonal ingredients. View today's menu.
The menu changes daily depending on what's fresh and in season at Ontario's local farms. We focus on sustainable farming, seafood and ethical treatment of livestock
Give a lunch dining experience at Osgoode Hall Restaurant. Available for purchase at the restaurant.
From arrival to departure the experience was very good.
Great food and service and an interesting ambiance. I love the fact there is no piped in music and one can carry on a conversation.
Food is delicious, and they serve the best butter tarts.
The restaurant is quite unique. You are surrounded by books and stained glass windows in an almost church-library like atmosphere. Service is excellent. The food was good. My soup starter had been heated too hot and was nothing special. My fish main course and dessert were good. My partner chose steak and chips and stated it was the best meal he has eaten in Canada!!!
A wonderful experience! We will be returning again soon.
I was impressed with the impeccable but polite and friendly service, the delicious food, and the beautiful room. I highly recommend this restaurant.
this is the hidden gem of lunch dining in downtown Toronto - i suggest the daily special
We ordered the fixed menu. Everyone found the appetizers and soups a bit disappointing. The main course was delicious, as was the dessert. Service was excellent, linen, plates and silverware were clean. Great ambience, and even though the tables are quite close together, the noise level was quite moderate and we could comfortably have good conversations. Would definitely recommend this to friends and colleagues.
Wonderful and posh, yet still affordable. Definitely one of downtown Toronto's great treasures!
L'ambiance est vraiment sympa.
Absolutely! It is a hidden gem with a fantastic embiance.
Love this place. A hidden gem downtown. Right inside the lovely Osgoode Hall courthouse. Open to the public! Great ambience, excellent service. Small but outstanding menu. Everything is delicious!
Well kept secret in downtown dining. Hidden away inside the magnificent Osgoode Hall. A wonderful high-ceilinged room lined with books. Great food, fast, friendly, professional service. Highly recommend!
Outstanding as usual ❤️
A wonderful setting and ambiance for a lovely and delicious lunch with friends. We highly recommend you visit the Grand Library and Court hall after lunch. Osgoode Hall is a jewel in Toronto and to experience it though its restaurant and stately rooms is delightful! Highly recommended!
Friendly attentive server, beautiful room, high quality of food. However, would like to see more choice of menu items. Definitely going back. Thankd
Great food, excellent service. The ambiance is wonderful with a very relaxing atmosphere.
A hidden gem. Great food. Amazing historic setting.
One of the few remaining old school cafe's remaining in Toronto
Great food, excellent service. Very comfortable ambience.
It was a great experience to visit Osgoode Hall, to walk around after lunch and not be questioned or watched!
The room for lunch was no less than fabulous. I could have stared at the windows forever.
The food was delicious, nicely presented as well as pared wine selection.
The gentleman who served us was extremely professional, confident and had a good sense of humor.
It is appreciated that the public can lunch at one of Canada's historic and prestigious landmarks.
A move to meatless selections is a must everywhere for obvious reasons.
We will return for a tour.
Food has improved a great deal since I was last there years ago. The appetizer of the day was terrific. The presentation of the cod equally so, and the dessert was yummy.
Have been going to the Osgoode Hall restaurant for the past fifteen years. It's the best place for lunch in Toronto.
This is my all time favourite place for lunch in Toronto. The room is beyond beautiful, the service impeccable and the food delicious. It’s a true hidden gem in the city!
Beautiful setting for lunch, inside and out. Menu is good and reliable - something for everyone.
A special place with history and great food.
I wouldn’t change a thing, though my table was talking about the noise level being high. But we’re old professional musicians and our hearing is sensitive!
Always a great spot that is convenient to City Hall. Downtown Toronto’s best kept secret!
We love going to Osgoode Hall Restaurant every month for our retiree group lunch. The service and food is impeccable! Looking forward to Osgoode reopening in September!
Wonderful place to have lunch downtown. Great value, really good food and a wonderfully historic building.
The chicken salad was delicious, with wonderfully crisp and fresh Boston lettuce. We liked everything about the lunch except the limited menu of main dishes: the quiche was was already sold out at 12:20 pm and thus the choices were rather heavy: pasta and beef Wellington.
This place is amazing and the food is delicious but it is fairly pricey
Fabulous and a best kept secret in fabulous surroundings...and you know the clientele are good at keeping secrets too if you want to have a private lunch meeting (mostly lawyers and judges!). I also half expected to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione at the next table. A+
I do not like this question. I know nothing about the Law Society of Ontario. I will, however, recommend The Osgoode Hall Restaurant to friends and return frequently with my friends . It is a unique dining experience and my quiche yesterday was the best I’ve ever had in Toronto.
Thoroughly enjoyed lunch at Osgoode Hall. Stewart was our server and he was wonderful.
Best kept secret in Toronto! Wonderful food in a unique setting, with servers who are highly professional.
Good food, service good, great experience to sit in the dining room and see lawyers and judges in their robes - feels like a different era.
As always, Osgoode Hall restaurant provided a superb lunch. Very professional and attentive service, and quiet ambience, though it was on Monday and can be a bit louder on busier afternoons. The food itself was outstanding. We had the Chef's Menu - three courses, prix fixe. The salad course was almost all fresh spring shoots, perfect for a sunny day in May. The entrée was braised beef, tender as could be, with polenta that was both silky in texture and flavourful. The dessert was a crème brulee, but not the run-of-the-mill kind, not here. It was mocha-flavoured and the sugar topping was likely brown sugar, therefore extra caramelly! The only negative was that the prix fixe has risen to $33 per person; with tax and tip a pricey lunch for two. Still, overall a lovely lunch to remember.
A stellar experience as always. Only complaint? Not open for dinner!
Happily ( for those of us in the know) a great restaurant easily overlooked
Great atmosphere with a unique setting. Food is reliably very good. Will return
