Reservation for 2 at 8:45pm and we showed up on time. Didn’t get seated till 9:30pm. Waiter tried but was obviously trying to push more on us as if he gets a commission.
Wonderful service and food was amazing. A great place to celebrate our anniversary. Server was friendly and helped us with wonderful suggestions off the menu. Would definitely return on a trip back to Las Vegas.
I think this is the best gluten free pasta I have ever had! I opted to do a gf substitution for the penne ala vodka. I also really enjoyed their eggplant appetizer. It is soooo delicious and huge, a must try! For the dessert I decided to have my favorite tiramisu, but in all honesty it wasn’t anything special. It was overall a good experience and the food was very good!
Hostess was super rude and told us we only had an hour to eat basically
Food was very plain, boring and barley average. The service was very bad, very little eye contact was made and they didn't real seem to engage you or even care. For the money I would have to say stay away.
I had good expectations for this restaurant considering it was in the palazzo and we were staying in the Venetian. We were seated in a timely manner, which was good. The staff was friendly and courteous. We ordered drinks, wine and beer, and then the tuna tartarre. The tuna was an excellent appetizer. Our waiter then informed us our bread was not brought out and went to get it. We ordered our main dishes, vodla penne and parmesan crusted veal with wild sauteed mushrooms. The vodka penne was okay, but the veal was tough and over cooked. I've never had tough veal. The mushrooms were tasteless. Maybe it was just a bad night, but I was a little disappointed.
As far as service, for a restaurant of this caliber at these prices, the staff should add some basic touches like placing the napkin on your lap, offering cracked pepper, fresh parmesan, having recommendations/ food and drink pairings, etc. We had to wait until fresh parmesan could be located, which took too long, so we just started eating. I've been to a few fine restaurants in Vegas, and this one is found lacking. The breakfast room service at the Venetian was better.
This is definitely one of my favorite places! The food, the ambience and the service is outstanding! I could make a meal just from the delicious Giant meatball!!
#1 Vegas Restaurant. LAVO is my husbands favorite Las Vegas restaurant. He 💕the NY strip. I went the previous Wednesday with work colleagues and ordered the Sea Bass. It was melt in your mouth goodness but then my coworker shared a piece of the filet and LAVO has perfected the tenderness inside with a perfect crisp on the outside so when I joined the hubs for our date night I got the filet and it was amazing. We also started with the oysters which were incredible. (We had just had oysters at Joes the night before and were pretty disappointed) we we so thrilled with the freshness of the LAVO oysters we had to go back Saturday night and get some more. For sides we had the garlic mashed and the mushrooms. Both great compliments. Service was top notch. Barbara was outstanding. GM Jason made us feel like celebrities. The meatball appetizer is awesome if you have a large group and the fried Oreos taste cannot be missed- they are somewhere between a Krispy Kreme and a hot creamy Oreo. So goo!
Wonderful atmosphere. And even better food! We did the $90 per person chefs choice sampler and got a great meal!
I eat here every time I am In Vegas for business. Food is excellent as is service. On of my favorites
I love Lavo!!
Good food and nice people!!
Excelente place and manager very professional and he is good person
Over-The-top! The plates were perfect in every way. Mark and Chris's hospitality exceeded every expectation. Eric provided excellent top-notch service and he was very personable. Being a very critical executive chef, I found this to be the best dining experience that I have had in a very long time. If you are in Las Vegas, make Lavo the first dining excursion on your list.
The man at the front desk of t restaurant who checked us was stressed , in fact rude.. a warm welcome to an expensive restaurant would o appreciated.
It was busy night in the restaurant but our waiter was dry gracious and polite and gave a lovely service
My Aunt was celebrating her birthday and she did receive a complimentary dessert which was unexpected and gratefully received.
I love this place, good service and food is amazing!👍
Great place !
We had a reservation but that really didn't matter. We were seated 25 minutes after our reservation time. Looked over the menu and selected small bites. The famous meatballs were great as advertised. Eggplant parm was very good too. Ordered the burrata salad which arrived with ice cold heirloom cherry tomatoes , tomatoes should never be refrigerated , they lose their flavor, the burrata also was ice cold...well everything was too chilled, basil, olive oil etc. Told our waiter and he apologized and took off the bill. Overall very satisfied with the meal. Note there is no stout beers or citron vodka . It isn't a big deal to most but my husband loves his stout beers and me a great Hanger One on the rocks. The wine list is extensive but very, very pricey even for wines by the glass.
Everything top notch!
Amazing food and service. Lavo never disappoints. Highly recommend!
Went to Lavo to celebrate my 40th birthday with my husband. Had a wonderful experience. Dinner & speciality cocktail were delicious. I was treated to a special birthday message & candle in my dessert. And a complementary birthday shot from the bartender, who is also a mixologist. Lovely night...plan to go back in warmer weather and experience the patio!
Great food and service; would go back again.
Food was great as was the service.
Lavo was great - too bad they are not opened all the time for lunch. Beautiful setting and the food was terrific
Outstanding service and food.
We had a 7:45 reservation for 4 (not a huge party), but weren’t seated until 8:45. If you offer reservations, might be good to make sure you can seat a reservation within 20 mins of the time. Food was disappointing for the price. Service was horrible. I have celiac disease & went here based on reviews from other celiacs. Due to the wait to be seated, the service being mediocre, my comfort level of the kitchen to make a meal that wouldn’t make me sick was concerning. I had the $19 tomato/mozzarella salad then went to my hotel room to eat snacks. Extremely disappointing after eating here 3 years ago (before celiac diagnosis) & having a great meal & service. Will never return.
Everything are quite good, but my veal is too dry and the bottom is a little bit burn.
The food was just Ok. Very busy loud and crowed. Felt a bit rushed. Had to wait over half and hour for a 7 reservation.
Great food and service
Andrew was a fabulous server. Love this restaurant
The meatball is amazing!!!! Bronzino was light and perfectly cooked. Great bread service. Overall it was delish!
Did someone say "bottomless mimosas"?! My friends and I just had the best brunch experience ever. Not only was our server tentative, he was on top of our mimosas and had some great food recommendations. I had the breakfast mac n cheese which was to die for. I can't say enough about the quality of food, service, and ambience. After going to Vegas at least 3 times a year we have finally found our "go to" brunch spot!
we have been to Lavo 4 times. Typically we go on a week night but this time it was a Saturday. I would never again go on a weekend evening. It is hard to believe the restaurant does not open until 7 p.m. on Saturday. The restaurant was nosy and very busy. Our waiter was not super helpful and the table we sat at continued all evening to fall into my sons lap as it was an extension table in the middle of the restaurant. We told the waiter but we were never moved. Also, it was very cold on Saturday and someone, an employee, opened a back door and the wind was hitting us. I would have appreciated a little warning. We asked for more bread with our dinner and never received it. I would come again because I know better from past experience that this is not typical, however, had this been my first visit I would not return.
Always a must when visiting Las Vegas because Lavo never disappoints. The cuisine is authentic and personalized service is a priority at this well managed establishment.
Took my son with me on a business trip and booked LAVO due to the reviews and photos on OT. It did not disappoint. The decor is great. Old world meets modern restaurant. The waitstaff could not have been more professional and courteous. Food was portioned well, seasoned well and presented very nicely. Authentic Italian feel and flavors.
We had an exceptional meal, excellent drinks & topped off by the best service from Thomas H! Not only did we never need a thing, Thomas went above & beyond bringing a surprise dessert for my Hubby's Birthday! The Meatball is a MUST, Craft Margarita was perfect balance, food was prepared 100%....there is nothing not to love. We will return every time we are in Vegas!
If you are in Vegas be sure to check out Lavo. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We will be returning on our next trip to Vegas.
The food is awesome. Love The Meatball! Only issue is they were 30 mins behind on meeting our reservation!
The food was excellent. The only issue was we waited a good 45 minutes past our reservation time to get seated, and the bartenders were very slow. It took about 20 minutes to get a drink (we waited for our table at the bar). The food, once we finally ate, was fantastic.
Food is great, but service is terrible. Ordered a beer when we ordered dinner, and didn’t receive it for 25 minutes, so had to ask manager. Beer finally came by the hand of the manager after a total of 30 minutes. My wife sent her salad back because dressing was too bitter. They brought the salad back with dressing on the side and my wife still didn’t care for it, and when the waiter asked how it was, my wife was honest ( and she didn’t eat 1/4 of it), but waiter didn’t take care of the salad. We had to ask for their “complimentary” bread 3x before getting it. Not to mention the bread is 4”, and if you want more, it is a charge. Never heard of a high-end restaurant charging for bread. They need to change a few things and work on service if we are ever going back...
Amazing time. Great food and ambiance. My group enjoyed this restaurant very much.
