Food was “mediocre’, but good choices for kids (pasta as well as steaks). No major problems, but food was lukewarm. I guess they’re busy and you pay for the location
Honestly, the service was great! The food was awful and the best part about the meal was the overpriced champagne.
Nice atmosphere, great service with helpful and entertaining waiters. Best manager in Chris Lampa, very accommodating and helpful. Overall great experience.
Sure do wish you hadn’t seated us right next to the table with the 5 yr old boy running circles around the table when the entire restaurant was empty! Tried to have an early business dinner but wasn’t able to concentrate because of the hellion seated next to us.
Had a great time at Lavo. The giant meatball was excellent. Service was fast and was a great experience
our server was great however the hostesses were not very friendly. we had tried to come early to sit an relax (we were leaving a trade show and had already checked out of our room and were killing time until our dinner reservation at 5) we tried to ask if we could sit on the couches, she told us the restaurant wasn't open yet and could not sit down - despite having another gentleman already sitting on the couch right next to the hostess stand. if the restaurant isn't open then how about closing the doors? Overall it was fine, we dine at Lavo several times a year when we travel to vegas for work and have always enjoyed the experience. however this time I found the staff to be less than accommodating and rude.
Our server took a little too much time getting to us once we were seated. The seating made me feel like a sardine as we were packed into our area. The noise level was a bit extreme. When my big mouth has to raise my voice so my wife can hear me, it's too loud. However, enough of the negative. Lavo is wonderfully decorated and romantic......without the noise! The food was incredible. My wife has the sea bass and she said it was the best she had ever eaten. I had the seafood alfredo and it was amazing. The prices were reasonable. We did not have any drinks and the bill was around $100. I would go back but will hope it is a bit quieter.
Food and ambiance was everything
Love to go to Lavo anytime I get to Las Vegas. Great food, simple menu, huge portions and very high quality.
Great Italian restaurant & delicious food
Our waiter sucked. He let us over order food to a point where we had to cancel dishes. We had to ask him the same question 3 times without getting a clear answer. The Brussel sprouts were drenched in vinegar and the only good thing on menu is the meatball.
Great atmosphere, a little loud though..waited about 40 min. even with reservations but enjoyed a good vodka mojito and read the menu while we waited. The dining room was really crowded, lots of chair bumping and keeping your elbows in. Service was a bit slower than hoped and not super tentative, when they were there they were vey nice and professional. Just over busy for being able to check in and follow up on requests.
I'd go back and give them another shot.
The service was amazing!
The food and service were great. The restaurant was packed and we had to wait over an hour for our reserved table. The host made it up to us with a complimentary desert and many apologies. i would definitely dine there again.
We came 30 mins late by mistake and we had to wait a little bit.
Loved our dinner and the service was perfect
Service and food were just ok. Ambience is good. Wine selection disappointing.
Great meal, good service, great atmosphere.
Lavo is one of my favs. Consistent and incredible fare. Highly recommend.
I heard of Lago from someone who I follow on Instagram and was drawn to make a reservation based on a picture of the 20-layer chocolate peanut butter cake.
We went for a late dinner and the restaurant was relatively quiet for Las Vegas. Kept it simple with two entrees and the chocolate/peanut butter cake. Both our entrees were delicious as well as the huge slice of cake. The service, however, was not great. Our waiter only came over once to take our order and then we never saw him again. At least two other people brought our food over and we had to ask three different times for more water as well as flag someone down for parmesan cheese for our pasta. Like I said, it wasn't that crowded and maybe our table of two didn't seem worthy of attention but it was disappointing. I also overheard another woman complaining about the service.
I would recommend based on the food quality but they need to step up the service.
Service was excellent, food was served as ordered and cooked to order. We had asked for an Anniversary special table and that was not forgotten. Would definitely go back.
We had a steak dinner followed by some oreo deep fried doughnuts shared. I thought the steak was delicious. However the dessert was a little too heavy for me. Perhaps, bombolini with a chocolate dipping sauce as a suggestion for next time.
Our fifth time so far and coming back in October and December. Never a trip here without Lavo!! Hands down the best Italian food in Vegas for a reasonable price!!!!!!
Had a pasta craving so i ordered spaghetti n meatballs.. It was very good...seasoned perfect and pasta cooked perfectly... Usually no one beats my bolognese but this one was very good... Would order again... The beet salad was just ok...tiramisu was very good...bits of coco puffs added some interesting texture element...
It was wonderful!!! Loved lavo gorgeous ambiance and delicious entrees. Expensive but worth it.
The food was incredible, the service was friendly and prompt, but not overly eager. The ambiance was delightful. While the prices are not for the frugal diner, it is definitely a fair price for a luxurious dining experience.
SO gooooood. Well made Italian classics that feel modern. The table was unanimous in it's praise. One member of party was vegetarian (yeah, I know, but we let her come to dinner anyway) and they easily accommodated her lifestyle choice. So many tasty things from the garlic bread to the ribeye. The family style deal worked well for our party of 7. The service was lovely and the drinks tasty.
Delicious authentic Italian food. Very generous portions. Lives up to it's expections.
It was our last night in Vegas...and our third dinner at lavo during this trip. The food was excellent. We had the chopped louise salad, tomato and basil pasta and a whole lobster.
The service though...was amazing. Mya was super friendly and helpful. She was hilarious and professional all at the same time. She definately made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
Thank you! Until next trip.
Lavo is the best Italian we’ve ever had in Vegas... Service was excellent, drinks were well mixed but not watered down. Highly recommend!
I couldn’t be more impressed. Our waitress was out of this world and really made the night even better. We are locals and will gladly return to this restaurant. I had the best Seafood Alfredo, my daughter had Spaghetti Carbonara, my wife had a Chicken Parmigiana where the chicken was larger than her face. Almost you could say it was as big as a personal pizza. Hahaha!!! And don’t forget the deep fried Oreos. I also want to point out their gluten free pasta was superb. Very adaptive to allergies. Thank you for such a wonderful evening it was so worth every penny.
What a disappointment. We were looking forward to this experience based on the clever web description. But that’s all it was, a clever description. People come to Vegas and gladly over pay for great food and even greater service, this was neither.
The food wasn’t all that good. My grilled snapper was soggy, not very appetizing. The chicken parmigiana was no better that an Olive Garden, which I haven’t been to since my parents took us there when we were kids.
Our server must’ve been having a bad day because he was really bad that evening both socially and professionally.
With all the other choices in the Palazzo alone, we will be staying away from Lavo.
Food just ok.
One of my favorite places in Vegas! Amazing sides as well
Great food and service.
Waited a very long time for our reservation. The saving grace was the manager Chris who offered a round of drinks and then upon waiting even longer some appetizers . My past experiences were much better and thats why I returned. After this, don't know. The food seemed to go downhill as well. Disappointing.
We had a reservation for 7:15 and were not seated till 8PM but after that it went very well.
We were there with business guests on 2 consecutive nights. On both nights we were seated around 35 minutes past our reservations. On previous trip, same issues with being seated in an untimely way. For us, that stand around and wait in a crowd will make us think twice before booking again. Food is on the heavier side but it's good and the rest of the service is just ok.
The food was Great, our waiter was also great, HOWEVER, the KITCHEN screwed up our order and we had to wait over 90 min for our dinner. The manager did NOT charged us for dinner, but we end up being late for our flight.
A very nice place and a great atmosphere, our waiter was helpful and observant. However we were somewhat unlucky with our food. Maybe it was just us, but 3 out of 7 entrees were very, very salty. I am not normally one to complain about salty food, as I use quite enough in my own cooking, however this was borderline inedible. We returned them and got new food which was less salty. But add this to a 40minute waiting time to get a table (even when we had pre booked a table) and 50 minute waiting time between dishes... it comes up only three stars.
